The Tides Turn Against Solian's Crew
The air was thick with the stench of blood and gunpowder.
Swords clanged, fire screamed, and men crashed to the earth.
At first, the fight had been evenly matched—but now Solian's crew was running.
Vance vs. Gideon – The Recoil User's Struggle
Vance gritted his teeth, barely able to parry another blow.
His opponent, Gideon, was a giant of a man. His sheer brute power made it nigh impossible to parry effectively.
"What's wrong, little man?" Gideon sneered, lowering his massive war axe.
Vance used his Recoil Fruit, trying to deflect the attack—
BOOM!
He was able to redirect the power, but the pure energy still sent shockwaves through his system.
Vance rolled around the deck, spitting blood.
Gideon charged forward. "I've battled Devil Fruit users stronger than you. Your power is not special!"
Vance dropped to one knee. His vision became blurry.
Damn it… if I don't turn this around, I'm a goner.
Kael vs. Mikhail – Rust Against Water
Kael's gasps were ragged, his arms twisted with cuts.
Mikhail was fast. Too fast.
Every time Kael tried to rust his sword, Mikhail would douse him in water, negating the effects of his power.
"You actually thought your Devil Fruit would be able to counter me?" Mikhail sneered, twirling his twin cutlasses.
Kael clenched his teeth. I have to come up with something. or I'm dead.
Jorin vs. Syla – Fire Losing to Speed
Jorin delivered a blazing punch.
Syla dodged—once more.
She was too fast.
And then—
SLASH!
Blood splattered from Jorin's flank as Syla's dagger tore through his flesh.
"Tch!" He backed up, clutching his wound.
Syla grinned. "Your flames are powerful, but you're way too slow, kid."
Jorin growled, his flames flaring up—but his body was slowing down from blood loss.
Solian vs. Cain – A Crushing Defeat
BAM!
Solian's body smashed through a wooden railing, splinters flying everywhere.
Cain stood over him, barely even scratched.
"Is this all you've got?" he asked, rolling his shoulders.
Solian forced himself up, coughing up blood. He was losing. Badly.
Cain hadn't even approached his full strength yet.
And Solian. had run out of ideas.
