Chapter 16 - Dance Invitation ~

Lizzy: COME ON FINALLY!!! I NEED TO FIND A BEAUTIFUL DRESS! CIEEEEL!! MOVE IT!!!

Ciel: L... Lizzy! Stop pulling me like this! SEBASTIAN! DO SOMETHING!

Sebastian: Ha~ I'm sorry, my lord, but I can't interfere~

Sebastian said as he watched his young master's cousin pull him from store to store, frantically searching for the perfect dress. The dress Lizzy wanted so badly was for a ball. Invitations for a grand ball had reached all of England, to be held at a mansion about two hours away from Ciel's estate. The invitation also mentioned that the host wanted to meet the wealthy people from across the country. It was a strange reason to host such a ball, but no one could say anything — and surely, no one could refuse the invitation.

The ball promised wonderful music, delicious appetizers and meals, fine wine, and, of course, the most delicious desserts.

Lizzy and Ciel entered one last store, filled with beautiful dresses. Here, Lizzy was searching frantically, forcing Ciel to hold everything she picked up.

Sebastian, always with a smile on his lips, watched the entire scene, enjoying it. As he wandered around, hoping to help Lizzy find something nice, his attention was drawn to a young woman who was admiring herself in a full-length mirror.

Immediately, Sebastian recognized who the girl was. She was the daughter of his enemy. The stunning blue dress made her appear even more striking, and the daisies around her neck made her glow with an air of elegance.

Aurelia kept looking at herself in the mirror, mesmerized by how the dress fit. Blue was not one of her favorite colors, but somehow, in a strange way, it suited her perfectly. The fabric, the fit, the designs... everything seemed as though it had been made just for her. Lost in admiring her reflection, she was startled when a voice interrupted the silence.

Sebastian: This dress looks so beautiful on you~

His voice had a calm tone, but his gaze seemed to analyze every detail of Aurelia.

Aurelia suddenly turned and faced the tall, dark-haired man she had met before.

Aurelia: "Ah! It's you again... Thank you so much! How come you're in such a shop?"

Sebastian: "I came here with my young master and his cousin. You see, there's going to be a ball tonight, and Miss Lizzy wants to find something nice to wear."

Aurelia: "So you got an invitation too... It must be the same place..."

Sebastian: "Sounds wonderful to me. I would be delighted if I could have the honor of your hand for a dance~"

Suddenly, a hand grabbed Sebastian's shoulder. William, with his characteristic glare, looked at him angrily.

William: "I would also be delighted to see your hands cut off... What do you want here again?!"

Aurelia: "D... Dad!!"

Sebastian, laughing, turned to look at William.

Sebastian: "Ah... Of course, you're here too. Are you looking for a dress as well?~"

William, however, wasn't in the mood for jokes and grabbed him by the collar.

William: "Listen here, demon, you may have helped that day, but that doesn't give you the right to get so close to her..."

Sebastian: "I don't think that's the way~. I wouldn't do anything, after all, I wouldn't dare touch such a beautiful lady..."

Aurelia: "Dad! Enough! You're acting like a baby!"

She said, stepping quickly between them.

Aurelia: "Why can't you just have peace for five minutes??..."

William/Sebastian: "Peace?!"

They both said at the same time, and immediately after, crossed their arms and looked in the opposite direction. Sebastian, unwilling to continue the confrontation, decided to walk away. Waving goodbye to Aurelia, he turned and walked back to where his master was.

William seemed extremely annoyed by Sebastian's presence, but as always, Aurelia managed to calm him down with just a few words. Before leaving the dress shop, they bought the one that suited her best. Now, all that remained was to wait until it was time for the ball.
