IR1901 was playing two roles at once—a recipe for disaster.
Just like how Luoshu worried about being missed during his short absences, MacDonald and SCP-126 couldn't coexist simultaneously. A simple cross-check of their activity logs would expose the deception.
If IR1901 was caught, Luoshu would be implicated.
He couldn't stay passive anymore. A choice had to be made:
Betray IR1901 – Gain favor with the Foundation, but lose a valuable asset.
Protect IR1901 – Deepen ties with the Chaos Insurgency, risking expulsion or execution if discovered.
High risk, high reward.
But the future was unpredictable. A month ago, Luoshu never imagined he'd be a D-class containment specialist in an SCP world.
Plans? Just someone else's script.
Over breakfast, Luoshu made his decision.
The Investigation
Big Beard Jack pulled him aside. "You're sharp. Come with me."
While other Epsilon-11 agents scoured Site-19 for suspects, Jack and Luoshu started at SCP-241's containment unit.
"Last night, this Safe-class triggered an alarm," Jack explained, gesturing to the open door. "But security found nothing."
Luoshu pretended to examine the cookbook.
The cage was still lowered—no one had touched SCP-241 since his escape.
To stall, he planted doubt: "Could it be a fake?"
Jack immediately radioed: "Get a D-class to test SCP-241!"
Bought IR1901 an hour.
In the lab, a clueless D-class cooked a flawless dish from the book, proving it wasn't swapped.
Next, Luoshu asked: "Any fingerprints?"
Another hour wasted.
The report came back: No traces—not even from the D-class.
Jack was baffled.
Luoshu hid a smirk.
Of course not. SCP-241's anomalous property erased all stains and damage instantly.
Jack, focused on threats, hadn't memorized this quirk.
Played.
The Footage
With no leads, Luoshu "suggested": "Let's check the surveillance."
Back in the Site Director's office, the footage played:
The door opened itself.
SCP-241 floated mid-air.
Security found an empty cage.
Like a ghost story.
No sign of Luoshu or IR1901.
Perception Block was that OP.
But as a "loyal" investigator, Luoshu pressed:
"Who can open this unit?"
The Director and Jack exchanged uneasy glances.
Finally, the Director admitted: "Only Level-4 personnel."
Now they're suspects.
