Chapter 269 - The Elite Team

As Luoshu leisurely made his way to the surface, Achilles' Heel and Pandora's Box had already taken positions outside the morgue of Tianjin Shichangpu Hospital.

Barbie turned to "White Eyes."

"Found Luoshu yet?"

"White Eyes" hesitated, torn between fear and duty.

After learning Luoshu had fought Abel and walked away unscathed, his terror had only deepened.

If possible, he'd have loved to say, "Can't find him."

But Barbie had acted on solid intel—she wouldn't accept evasion.

Just as he wavered, a voice cut in:

"Think carefully before answering. Don't be foolish."

"White Eyes" turned—and froze.

"God" stood beside him.

At this critical juncture, The Administrator wouldn't leave things to chance.

While most Foundation personnel didn't know "God's" true identity, Achilles' Heel at least recognized his strength.

Officially, "God" was SCP-343, a Level 4 reality bender who'd reported to Area-13 (Olympus Mons) for registration—and to endure Achilles' Heel's intimidation ritual.

This "welcoming ceremony" was handled by Omega-12-C-001 and 002, the task force's two Level 5 commanders, to ensure new anomalies respected Foundation authority.

Ironically, both had lost to "God."

During his assessment, "God" had unleashed full Level 5 power, wielding space and time manipulation to overwhelm them.

Though Olympus Mons' dual-layered Scranton Anchors suppressed his abilities to Level 3, his spatial phasing and lockdown left the commanders helpless.

"White Eyes," using his clairvoyance, had witnessed the fight secretly—and been forever awed (and terrified).

Now, under "God's" gaze, he dared not lie.

"Y-Yes, I sense him! But I can't pinpoint his status—just that he's within a kilometer."

"God" nodded. He hadn't expected precise tracking anyway.

If Luoshu were that easy to catch, he'd have been contained long ago.

With Luoshu confirmed onsite, it was time to move to the next phase.

"God" gave Barbie a look.

She turned to the Pandora's Box commander.

"Release him."

"Isn't it too early?" The commander hesitated. "He's harder to control if let out prematurely. And last time—"

He was referring to Abel's humiliation at the capital garrison, when Luoshu's "Enemy of Life" aura had made him kneel in terror.

Though the commander didn't understand what had happened, he knew Luoshu had a countermeasure.

Barbie glanced at "God," then said firmly, "Relax. We have an elite lineup now."

And what a lineup it was:

Abel – Peak physical combatant, unmatched in raw power.

"God" – Master of space-time manipulation, unrivaled control.

Barbie – Her Spatial Fragmentation could pixelate matter at will.

In terms of offensive lethality, Barbie surpassed "God."

But when her spatial shattering clashed with his spatial lockdown, victory went to whoever had higher personal Hume.

Unsurprisingly, "God" won that contest—he'd defeated Barbie during his Area-13 assessment.

Still, as The Administrator, "God" rarely fought directly. His strength lay in strategy and containment, which was why he relied on enforcers like SCP-053, SCP-096, Barbie, and Abel to handle Luoshu.

Reassured, the Pandora's Box commander ordered Abel's release—though he planned to retreat immediately, ready to detonate Abel's implants if he rampages.

Soon, Abel stepped out of SCP-076-1, looking bored—until he spotted Barbie and the task force.

His face flushed crimson.

The memory of his disgrace—kneeling before Luoshu's "Enemy of Life" aura—flooded back.

It was the most humiliating moment of his immortal existence.

He swore: Next time, he'd carve Luoshu into pieces.

But first—every witness to that shame must die.

Silently, he drew his sword from a spatial rift.

Then he saw "God."

His eye twitched.

"You old bastard. You're here too?"

"God" smiled. "The guy inside is close with your brother—the one who made you kneel last time."

Abel's face went from red to white.

"Hmph! A coward hiding behind borrowed power. Today, I'll slaughter him!" he snarled.

"God's" grin widened. The taunt had worked.

Next time Luoshu used the "Enemy of Life" aura, Abel wouldn't falter.

Still, Abel's instincts were sharp.

He hated "God."

In his mental "Most Despised" rankings:

Cain

Luoshu

"God"

No good men among them.

But "God's" provocation had redirected Abel's bloodlust—for now.

His gaze locked onto Site-CN-06's entrance.

The elite team was assembled.

Now, they just needed Luoshu to walk into the trap.
