Chapter 313 - Surviving The Lightning Tribulation

As a veteran member of Achilles' Heel, Aiolos knew all too well the might of "Zeus."

In past White Events, any reality bender below Tier-5 who dared oppose Achilles' Heel was reduced to ashes by a single lightning storm.

And the five of them? None even reached Tier-4.

At this moment, Aiolos despaired. "There's no escape... We're all going to die here!"

"If it comes to it, Luo Shu, run! Leave us behind!" IR1705 declared firmly.

If Luo Shu abandoned them, he could survive—by retreating into "My Cultist World" or activating Perception Blocking (rendering himself an absolute insulator).

But he wouldn't.

Jianjia and Aiolos had sacrificed too much for him already. Leaving them to die was unthinkable.

Just then, the eccentric Logistics Captain bent down, packed a snowball, and hurled it at Zeus.

As it flew, he compressed it to the size of a grain of rice, turning it into a supersonic projectile.

Not bad for a madman's idea.

Luo Shu admired his creativity—but their opponents were Achilles' Heel's top three.

Barbie stepped forward, unfolding a spatial fragment like a shield.

The snowball shattered harmlessly against it.

Undeterred, the Logistics Captain stomped the ground, triggering an avalanche through rapid snow expansion and contraction.

Millions of cubic meters of snow surged toward their enemies—only to split around Barbie's barrier, flowing harmlessly downhill.

Achilles' Heel stood untouched, mocking his efforts.

Barbie's spatial fragments were both an unstoppable offense and an immovable defense—their only weakness was short range.

The Logistics Captain shrugged. "I'm out of ideas. Ready to die?"

Above them, the storm reached critical charge.

Mytikas Peak was now crowned by a black vortex of doom, the air crackling with pent-up destruction.

Then, Jianjia stepped forward.

"I'll try to absorb some of the damage... but I don't know how much."

She activated "Lush Reeds" (Jianjia Cangcang).

Reeds erupted around them, growing taller than a person—a makeshift lightning rod.

But against Zeus' storm, this tiny patch of reeds wouldn't last.

Inspired, Luo Shu doubled the reeds' density and height using his mimicry ability.

The Logistics Captain, ever the wildcard, magnified them further—but his scaling only increased their size, not durability.

The overstretched reeds collapsed like wet noodles, burying the group in a floppy green tomb.

"Stop messing around!" IR1705 snapped.

Chastened, the Logistics Captain canceled his ability and sulked in the snow.

This was their last stand.

If this failed, only Luo Shu might escape—the others would perish.

Then—the storm struck.

Dozens of lightning bolts lanced down, converging on the peak like divine wrath.

From afar, Mytikas shone like a nuclear blast, thunder shaking cities hundreds of kilometers away.

"Is Olympus collapsing?" gasped onlookers.

"Has Zeus returned?" wondered fantasy enthusiasts.

"Lightning tribulation! Who's ascending to immortality?!" cried a Chinese tourist.

Inside the maelstrom, Luo Shu truly felt like he was enduring a celestial trial.

Every bolt hammered the reeds, their energy dissipated through the plants—but not without cost.

The reeds charred instantly, electricity arcing between stalks and skin.

Light seared their eyes, thunder deafened them, their bodies jolted like puppets, and the stench of burning flesh and vegetation filled the air.

Yet—they survived.

Double Lush Reeds had absorbed most of the energy, leaving just enough for the group to barely endure.

Five blackened figures stood on scorched earth, trembling but unbroken.

Zeus chuckled. "Let's see how long you last. Again!"

Lightning tribulations never ended at one strike.

The clouds still churned, promising more devastation.

Luo Shu roared back: "Again!"

New reeds sprouted, shielding them as they sprinted uphill.

Boom!

The second storm arrived, annihilating the reeds once more.

Jianjia summoned another wave, but Luo Shu was spent—his limbs numb, body spasming.

Though the reeds had blunted the worst, the residual damage was crushing.

"How much farther?!" he croaked at Aiolos.
