Hayley walked through the office, feeling disappointed and uneasy. She couldn't shake off the feeling that had settled in her stomach since seeing CEO Ryan with Yara.
As she walked, Hayley couldn't help but wonder why she felt this way. She hadn't even talked to Ryan properly, so why did seeing him with someone else bother her so much? Maybe it had something to do with that werewolf stuff her uncle had told her about.
According to her uncle, when people with werewolf blood got emotional, their feelings got heightened. But that didn't make sense, since Hayley hadn't shifted into a werewolf even once. She didn't even know if she believed in that stuff. Hayley pushed the thoughts aside and focused on getting through the rest of her day.
She grabbed a cup of coffee from the cafeteria and chatted with her coworkers, trying to shake off the weird feelings. As the clock ticked closer to 4:00 PM, Hayley headed back to her desk to wrap up her work. But as she stepped into the elevator, she collided with a tall, broad-shouldered man, spilling coffee all over his suit. Hayley's eyes widened in horror as she apologized profusely. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going." As she looked up to face the man, her heart skipped a beat. It was CEO Ryan, his piercing blue eyes narrowing
Slightly as he took in the mess on his suit. Hayley's face flushed with embarrassment as she tried to clean up the spill with her hanky. But before she could even finish, Yara appeared, her voice sharp and cold. "What is going on here?" Yara demanded, her eyes flashing with annoyance. Hayley felt a surge of embarrassment and frustration. "I'm so sorry, I just spilled coffee on him," she explained, trying to apologize. But Yara wasn't having it. "Get your hands off him," she spat, her voice dripping with disdain. "I'll take care of this." Hayley felt a sting from Yara's harsh words.
She stepped back, feeling embarrassed and humiliated. As she watched them leave, Hayley couldn't help but feel a pang of...something. She didn't even know what it was. Frustration? Jealousy? She pushed the feelings aside, telling herself she was being ridiculous. But as she packed up her things to leave, Hayley found herself lost in thought, her mind replaying the awkward encounter with CEO Ryan. As she walked out of the office, Hayley made her way to the reception area, lost in thought.
Suddenly, she heard a deep, smooth voice behind her. "Are you new here?" Hayley turned to face the speaker, her eyes widening in surprise. He was a tall, elegant blonde man with piercing green eyes and a broad chest. "I'm an intern," Hayley replied, feeling a little shy. The man smiled, his eyes lighting up. "I'm Jerry," he said, his voice low and smooth. "And you are...?" Hayley was about to reply when a deep, annoyed voice came from behind her. "I don't think that should be any of your concern" The tension in the room crackled leaving Hayley breathless as she turned to see the CEO standing there with blazing eyes.
Jerry faced Ryan with a smile "Is this how best friends welcome themselves?" as he stepped closer to Ryan and enveloped him in a bear hug
Hayley felt awkward just looking at them so she decided to excuse herself and leave as she intended to leave before Jerry stopped her
"I came earlier I was informed you had left what are you doing here?" Jerry asked
"I forgot an important document on my desk" Ryan replied as his eyes followed a certain woman who just left the building.
