As the days went by, Adrian found himself spending more and more time with Chris. They would study together, hang out at the park, and just enjoy each other's company. Adrian couldn't help but notice the way Chris's eyes sparkled when he laughed, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck.
He felt a flutter in his chest whenever Chris was near, and he couldn't understand why. It wasn't just that Chris was attractive, although he definitely was. It was something more than that.
Chris, too, had noticed the change in their relationship. He felt a sense of comfort and ease around Adrian that he had never felt before. He loved the way Adrian's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled, and the way his voice sounded when he laughed.
