Izumi wakes up in cold sweat. He then instinctively tries to sit upright and accidentally bangs his head with Ren who was looking over him.
"Owwww! you got a hard noggin Izumi."
Ren painfully winces while rubbing his forehead vigorously.
"Sorry, Ren."
Izumi then nervously stares at his own sweaty palms and then realized that he wanted to speak with someone.
"Where's Jin?"
"I'm right here."
Jin's voice almost made Izumi jump out of his bed. Jin was leaning against the wall, next to his bed. Izumi swallows and asks him;
"Where am I?"
"You're in the recovery room used exclusively for army members."
"Oh."
Izumi had never seen Jin so ominous, but there he was, staring deep into space thinking of things probably way beyond Izumi's capability.
"Kid, your body temperature literally halved on the way here, you were on the verge of death."
Izumi froze in shock and horror, verge of death? It felt Izumi had just woken up from one of the best sleeps of his life. He felt more aware, his senses were sharper and he could see everything more vividly. He felt the best he ever felt after a long time, he couldn't possibly on the verge of death, could he? He slowly gets up from the bed, still dazed from what he had heard. Then suddenly the door crashed open, it was Evan and Akane. Evan then ran up to Izumi and then started putting his hands, to check Izumi's temperature.
"Oh my gosh! Izumi! are you alright? Do you need some food I packed some-."
Evan was interrupted by Jin when he cleared his throat. That indicated that he wanted to speak something. Jin looks at all three of them, Izumi, Ren and Akane.
"How would you feel to join the Kage Sentai?"
He asks gravely.
