Chapter 5 - Hunt

(Author Aom Ro)

After School, Kit stalked his vampire classmates in his blue hoodie escaping scents of his pack.

He spotted pink hair vampire Hui talking to his friend.

He swallowed thickly before his voice spoke. "Are you guys going hunting tonight?"

Hui turned to his side in curiousty before going to his side. "Mm, maybe. Why is Fon's omega asking."

Kit cleared his throat. "I wanna come too."

Hui exclaimed. "You?! Leeme see something real quick." He turned Kit around before grabbed his head.

Kit's eyes flashed yellow unexpected get his memories exposed to the stranger.

He croutched in pain as he clutched his head.

Hui spoke above him to his friend. "I can't bealive his first hunt was way better than ours, we should leave some leftovers later incase he shows."

Hui's control realsed the omega before he walked away with his friend.

In a nearby park, Kit crouched by a stream, splashing ice-cold water on his face to wash away the blood.

His skin welcomed the cold breeze that blew through his thin clothes, cooling him down.

The werewolf pack wouldn't understand his desires. Neither would the curious vampires surrounding him.

He hoped that joining them on their midnight snake hunt would bring relief and help him think rationally around Bell,

But his taste buds disagreed with the foul flavor. It was too bad; he'd even prepared to ruin his clothes tonight.

"You don't need farang's blood to survive," Hui told him.

Kit glanced at the one of the vampires."I can't give you his blood."

"All I'm saying, newbie, maybe try bigger animal. Take a risk to get rid of that pain," Hui offered with a grin.

Kit's eyes scanned the others gorging themselves in foul scent of the unrecognizable animal.

"What else can we do to live among the humans? We all want that; we're not monsters," Hui encouraged him.

"…I'm not a monster?" Kit had never told Hui how he'd gotten Bell's blood, but he clung to his words for a sense of peace.

In the past, Fon had warned him countless times about the dangers of vampires.

Kit had believed that for so long, suppressing his other side to please them and a stranger who is traumatized him.

A stranger who had never shown him an ounce of acceptance or tenderness.

A stranger he was tired of suffering for.
