Chapter 8 - Chapter 008: An Unexpected Entry into the Grand Line

Name: Kisame Hoshigaki

Age: Unknown

Race: Suspected Fish-Man

Personal Information: Background unknown. Appeared on Bali Island in the West Blue, accompanied by a girl named Revy…

Kisame's file was incredibly simple—so simple, in fact, that it only deepened Sengoku's curiosity.

Aside from the record from Bali Island, this man seemed to have materialized out of thin air. No past records, no confirmed background—not even his race was certain. There were too many mysteries.

However, compared to Kisame's enigmatic history, what truly caught Sengoku's attention was the girl named Revy.

He never expected that a casual investigation would lead him to such a shocking discovery.

Name: Revy (Lunaria Revy)

Age: 17

Race: Human

Personal Information: Born in the Kingdom of Gersei in the West Blue. Formerly went by the name Lunaria Revy, but for unknown reasons, she later concealed her surname. After the fall of the Kingdom of Gersei, she drifted from island to island…

Possesses some combat ability and shows potential as a sharpshooter. Has spent years wandering across multiple islands in the West Blue.

Once single-handedly killed a pirate with an 800,000 berries bounty…

"Did you learn something…? Is that why you hid your surname?"

The file was only three pages long, but to Sengoku, it felt like it weighed a thousand pounds.

He clenched Revy's file so tightly that it became wrinkled.

If possible, he wished he had never seen this information.

But it was too late.

Most people wouldn't recognize what Lunaria meant. But he did.

And he also knew that if certain people discovered this girl's existence, the consequences would be unimaginable.

After a long moment of hesitation, he picked up the Den Den Mushi and dialed a number.

"Delete the file on 'Revy' from the archives. I'll submit a new one later."

Hanging up, Sengoku pulled out some blank sheets of paper from his desk and carefully rewrote Revy's file—exactly the same, except for one crucial detail:

The word Lunaria was nowhere to be found.

Once he was finished, Sengoku gazed out of the window. Beyond the glass stretched the endless expanse of the Red Line.

At its peak lay Mary Geoise—the holy land of the world's ruling power.

Was this the right choice? The wrong one? He didn't know.

But he had no regrets.

Rosinante's death still haunted him.

He was a Fleet Admiral—but only a Fleet Admiral. Nothing more.

"That name… it's too heavy for that child to bear."

"Someone, come!"

"Find these two. And deliver this new file to the archives."

He didn't know how long he could keep this secret. But until the truth inevitably surfaced, he would do everything in his power to ensure she had time to grow.

If possible, he wouldn't mind bringing her into the Navy—perhaps she had the potential to achieve something truly great in the future…

"Bad news! Something's happened!"

A sudden shout pulled Sengoku back to reality.

"How many times have I told you not to shout—"

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, bad news! In… in the first half of the Grand Line, someone has spotted… Kaido! He's heading toward the Calm Belt—"

"Ha…?"

"Damn it! Why isn't that bastard staying in the New World? What's he doing in the Calm Belt?"

"W-We don't know! A patrol warship reported seeing a creature in the sky that strongly resembled Kaido—"

"Damn it… Go call Garp—"

"Seriously… Why can't anyone just behave themselves?" Sengoku slammed his fist onto his desk in frustration.

---

"Ahhh—"

"Big guy, hurry up, hurry up—"

"They're coming!"

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As soon as the words left his mouth, monstrous water dragons surged from the sea, rising nearly a hundred meters into the air. Their ferocious forms became as solid as reality itself.

With a mighty leap, they tore through and shredded several Sea Kings.

Blood rained down like droplets from a storm. Accompanied by deafening crashes, the massive Sea Kings plummeted back into the ocean.

Towering waves rose as their blood-stained ship rocked forward. Ahead of it, four blue sharks swam wildly.

"Woohoo!"

Revy, who had been trembling in fear just moments ago, suddenly leaped up in excitement, cheering. She spun around and gave Kisame a big thumbs-up from the deck.

"Big guy, you're amazing! Looks like we made the right call coming through the Calm Belt!"

Kisame rolled his eyes.

Just earlier, wasn't she the one who was freaking out about entering the Calm Belt, acting like it was the end of the world?

It all started when Kisame and Revy set out to sea. Since neither of them had a navigator, they had completely lost their way.

Forget Reverse Mountain—the entrance to the Grand Line—they hadn't even seen a single island.

Luckily, their ship was well-stocked, and their needs were minimal. So, they simply let the blue sharks take turns pulling them forward.

But before they realized it… they had wandered straight into the Calm Belt.

Revy, recalling what she knew about the Calm Belt, told Kisame that if they could cross it, they would reach the Grand Line.

She also explained the risks of passing through.

And of course—

One dared to suggest it.

The other dared to do it.

Without hesitation, they sailed straight into the Calm Belt.

At first, everything was fine—peaceful waters, and the blue sharks continued pulling them forward…

But soon enough, they truly understood the meaning of terror.

When towering creatures, some dozens of meters tall—others over a hundred—rose from the depths, even Kisame felt his heart clench.

And the moment he unleashed his Ninjutsu… he nearly scared himself half to death.

It turned out that the Water Release techniques Kisame had used on land before weren't just an illusion. Now that he was at sea, they were even more terrifying.

Even a simple Water Dragon Bullet could rival an S-rank Jutsu!

Upon realizing this, Kisame began experimenting with different techniques, and to his shock, he discovered that he had truly become stronger.

And it wasn't just his Ninjutsu—even Samehada in his hands had inexplicably grown more powerful…

Though he didn't fully understand why, he gladly accepted it.

Because of this newfound strength, their journey through the Calm Belt became much easier…

And just like that, these two novices stumbled their way out of the West Blue's Calm Belt—straight into the Grand Line.

However, their troubles were only just beginning…

---

"Phew… That was intense!"

Revy glanced back nervously after they had finally broken free from the Calm Belt. The journey had been thrilling, but her heart could barely take it.

"Intense?"

Hearing this, Kisame couldn't help but recall her earlier madness. He had never expected that this seemingly well-behaved girl would have a heart as reckless as Deidara's.

…He just hoped she wouldn't turn too much like him in the future.

Upon entering the Grand Line, they found themselves with no navigation tools whatsoever—not even a Log Pose.

So, they had no choice but to continue drifting, letting the sharks pull them forward.

Days passed, and even the ever-patient Kisame started feeling irritated.

This aimless journey across the ocean was incredibly dull—especially since it was just the two of them on the ship.

All he could do to pass the time was study the Impure World Reincarnation technique or answer Revy's endless questions about ninjas.

---

"Huh…? There's someone here?"

One day, while sitting cross-legged on the deck and practicing chakra sensing, Revy suddenly exclaimed in surprise.

"Someone?"

Kisame, already on the verge of losing his mind from boredom, glanced around. "You're seeing things. There's just a rock over there."

"No, look closer! There's someone sitting on that rock!"

At her insistence, Kisame focused his gaze again.

…Huh.

Well, what do you know—there really was a person!

But the very next moment, confusion flashed across his face.

He looked around. Aside from that single reef, there were no ships in sight.

How the hell did they get up there?
