Chapter 3 - The Hidden Master?

The moment these words were spoken, the livestream erupted into chaos.

"Is this for real? I can't believe it!"

"I looked it up too—it's true! Oh my gosh!"

"Age, name—they match perfectly. But no photo? Without that, we can't confirm it."

"Not just that! I found out that the Vice President of the Huaxia Culinary Association, who's always been shrouded in mystery and never appeared in the media, is also named Qin Hao!"

...

As more information surfaced, the enthusiasm of the viewers grew exponentially.

The livestream exploded with activity. People flocked to it in droves, and the audience count skyrocketed from a mere three hundred to over ten thousand—and it kept climbing!

If Su Wuyao had been entirely skeptical before, she was now wavering.

Certificates, competition dates—all unearthed by the viewers.

Rankings, names, ages—they all matched!

All under the name Qin Hao!

Yet, only traces of his name and brief mentions online could be found—no photos.

Everyone else had photos, but Qin Hao's seemed to have been mysteriously erased from the internet.

As for the name, it couldn't be fabricated. The competition rankings were there, and removing his name would leave a conspicuous gap, making it even stranger.

Could it really be true?

Su Wuyao's expression grew complicated.

She didn't want to believe it—it seemed absurd—but the evidence was too convincing.

If Qin Hao truly knew how to cook, then for the past three years, Su Wuyao had been the one doing all the cooking!

And every time, he'd even compliment her efforts.

Cooking wasn't a big deal—Su Wuyao enjoyed it and took pride in cooking for her husband. After all, she never considered herself a pampered princess.

But this was different.

They'd been married for so long, and she'd been the one cooking all along. If he didn't know how to cook, fine—but to find out he's a culinary genius?

Yes, a culinary genius. This wasn't an honor an ordinary chef could achieve.

She quietly wrapped the plastic bag again.

Then she closed the suitcase, covered it with a mattress, and returned to the living room.

At this moment, Su Wuyao sat on the couch, her face dark, her lips pursed, glaring at the door, waiting for Qin Hao to come home so she could confront him.

Three years of secrecy—this was outrageous!

"Haha... The streamer looks so cute when she's angry."

"The streamer's husband is in trouble, haha..."

"If you ask me, don't confront him directly. You can only find his name online, not his photo—he could just deny it."

"No way! You guys don't really believe all this, do you? So many Qin Haos are the same person? Does he have three heads and six arms?"

"The world is full of wonders. I actually agree with not confronting him directly. If he refuses to admit it, there's nothing you can do."

"You could secretly test his cooking skills to find out."

...

The viewers' comments gave Su Wuyao an idea.

Brilliant!

If she could see Qin Hao cook with her own eyes, it would prove everything. He wouldn't be able to deny it.

But how to prove it?

"Actually, there's a way. I could make up an excuse to go out, tell my husband I want to eat a certain dish, and then set up cameras at home. If he's truly a culinary genius, he'll whip it up effortlessly, and I'll just record it."

Su Wuyao pondered aloud.

"It's a good plan, but how do you know he'll agree to cook?"

"Yeah, he could just order takeout for any dish."

"You could pick a dish that's not available for delivery. That way, if the streamer's husband truly loves her, he'll have no choice but to cook it himself."

"Great idea! It'll test the authenticity of those certificates and also show how much the streamer's husband cares for her. Two birds with one stone!"

...

Su Wuyao saw this suggestion.

It was indeed a good plan.

But what dish couldn't be ordered for delivery?

Not only that—it had to be easy to find ingredients for. Otherwise, if Qin Hao couldn't buy the ingredients, he wouldn't be able to cook it, and the plan would fail.

Su Wuyao immediately picked up her tablet and started searching online for dishes that were challenging but required simple ingredients.

Before long...

"Found it—Lantern Shadow Beef!" Su Wuyao exclaimed excitedly. Beef was already one of her favorites, but the only dish she could make herself was tomato beef brisket. As long as she followed the recipe step by step, it usually turned out fine.

But Lantern Shadow Beef was different—it required exceptional knife skills!

"Good choice! Lantern Shadow Beef—thin as paper, bright red, and a true test of knife skills!"

"If your husband can showcase his knife skills and successfully make Lantern Shadow Beef, then it's almost certain."

"Check if it's available for delivery first. Otherwise, even if he can make it, he might just order takeout, and the plan will fail."

...

Good point.

Su Wuyao immediately opened the delivery app to check.

"Nope, no Lantern Shadow Beef available for delivery in the area." Su Wuyao grew even more excited.

This was perfect—ingredients like beef were easy to find everywhere.

"Wait, streamer, just because it's not available for delivery, how can you be sure your husband will cook it for you?" someone asked.

"Don't worry about that. My husband always fulfills my requests, hehe..." Su Wuyao replied confidently, her face full of pride.

This was true. In their three years of marriage, Qin Hao had treated Su Wuyao exceptionally well—like a cherished treasure, pampering her like a princess.

And just then...

Click~

The sound of the door opening.

Su Wuyao quickly composed herself and sat on the couch.

"Honey, what groceries did you buy?" Su Wuyao asked playfully, as if nothing had happened.

"Quite a lot—pork ribs, winter melon, corn, and your favorite beef," Qin Hao replied, holding several bags as he walked toward the fridge.

"You bought beef!" Su Wuyao exclaimed, thrilled. It was perfect timing.

"Uh... Honey, why are you so excited? Don't we buy beef all the time?" Qin Hao asked, puzzled.

"Ahem... We do, but I just saw a dish online that I want to try—it's making my mouth water."

"Oh?"

Qin Hao raised an eyebrow. "What dish? Tomato beef brisket? You can make that yourself tonight."

"No, it's called Lantern Shadow Beef. It looks amazing, and I want to try it," Su Wuyao shook her head.

Before Qin Hao could respond, Su Wuyao continued, "Honey, it's getting late. I'm going out this afternoon to shop with Jiao Jiao. I'll be back around dinner time. Can you order takeout for me? Just this dish."

"Uh... Sure!" Qin Hao agreed readily.

Su Wuyao's lips curled into a sly smile.

Got him!

Since Lantern Shadow Beef wasn't available for delivery, if Qin Hao truly wanted to satisfy her request—and if he really was a culinary genius—he'd have no choice but to make it himself!

The truth would be revealed by evening!
