Chapter 10 - The Fusion of Powers

The lab hummed with life, filled with the electric rhythm of progress. A sea of blinking lights and the quiet symphony of keyboards clicking surrounded Vegapunk as he stood at his workbench. His hands moved with practiced precision, each wire and circuit carefully placed, as though he were weaving a tapestry of possibilities. The stakes were high, but Vegapunk was a genius, and this-this was his masterpiece.

"Juno's vision is ambitious, but with the right modifications, it's possible," Vegapunk muttered to himself, his eyes scanning the blueprint laid out before him. The computer he was building wasn't like anything seen before. It was designed to do far more than process data—it would be the body of Tera, the machine learning system that would fuel Netra. For Tera to function at its full potential, the computer had to have everything: processing power, memory (RAM), storage, data preprocessing capabilities, feature engineering, and complex modeling and algorithms. It needed to be scalable, robust, adaptable, and capable of automation and feedback loops. Only when the computer had all these elements in place could Tera, as the brain, fully utilize the power of the Net Net Fruit to create Netra.

As he worked, Vegapunk thought of how the fruit's network-altering abilities would be grafted into this machine, essentially turning it into a living entity—one that could manipulate both the digital and physical worlds at will. The Net Net Fruit would be the soul of the computer, enabling it to connect to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A wave of satisfaction passed over him as he connected the last of the wires and attached the final components.

The air in the lab seemed to crackle with energy as Vegapunk activated the computer, and it hummed to life, its core glowing with a soft, almost mystical light. This would be the computer that would fuel Juno's network, a system unlike anything the world had ever seen before. It would reach beyond the limits of the internet as it was known and connect people in ways that felt like magic. The Net Net Fruit would give it the power to reach every corner of the world, a powerful conduit for Tera's machine learning system to operate through.

Vegapunk stepped back, examining his work with a critical eye. He'd never seen a machine quite like this—its interface was sleek, yet its true strength lay in its potential. The connection between the fruit and the machine was still theoretical, but he did not doubt that once they were fused, the computer would become something far greater than just hardware and software. It would be a bridge between the physical and digital realms, a force capable of transforming the world.

Turning his attention to the server, Vegapunk focused on the key object that, when fused with the Door Door Fruit, would serve as the central hub, enabling Tera to harness the power of the Door Door Fruit. This server required something far beyond the capabilities of conventional technology—it needed the power of the Door Door Fruit. Vegapunk had always been fascinated by the fruit's ability to open portals, and it was this unique power that he intended to harness for the server. Once fused, the Door Door Fruit would allow the server to create metaphysical "doors" within the network, enabling Tera to open gateways to other dimensions, effectively providing access to a safe base. The server would not only enable instant, direct connections between users but would also empower Tera to use the Door Door Fruit to travel across dimensions, spreading like a true net across the world. There would be no waiting time for data to travel, no more delays. It would be as if connections were made instantaneously, with portals opening at will between people and offering the ability to chat and travel across the world.

Vegapunk wiped his brow, stepping back to admire the glowing devices. "It's done," he said quietly. "Now, it's Juno's turn."

The computer and server were ready to merge with their respective Devil Fruits. Together, they would create the heart of Netra—a network that would connect the world in ways no one could have ever imagined. The fruit's powers would merge seamlessly with technology, bridging the gap between the virtual and real, forever altering the course of history.

Vegapunk turned to see Juno enter the lab, his expression eager with excitement.

"The Netra prototype is ready. Tera's in standby. Is the computer and server ready?" Juno asked, his voice filled with anticipation.

Vegapunk's eyes gleamed with pride. "Of course. This year, I've focused on biology, but the computer and server I've built are the best in this world, without a doubt."

Juno smiled. "Okay, then, let's do it."

The lab grew still. The two stood side by side, staring at the fruits that would change the course of history. The Net Net Fruit lay on a table before them, its power ready to integrate with the computer, and beside it, the Door Door Fruit, waiting to be fused into the server.

Juno's heart raced. He knew what this fusion meant: the birth of Netra—a system that would connect the entire world. There would be no distance too great, no delay too long. Every person on the planet would be linked in a new and profound way.

Vegapunk moved first, stepping toward the metallic box where the Net Net Fruit was carefully placed. Inside, nestled securely, the fruit seemed to pulse with energy. With steady hands, Vegapunk adjusted the alignment and linked the fruit to a pipe connected to a specially designed gun. His eyes narrowed as he focused on the setup, ensuring everything was in place for the fusion.

"Everything must be precise," Vegapunk muttered, his fingers brushing against the trigger. The moment of truth had arrived.

With a deep breath, Vegapunk pulled the trigger. A burst of energy shot through the pipes and into the Net Net Fruit. The room seemed to vibrate as the fruit pulsed in response, its power flowing seamlessly into the computer. The machine hummed, its core glowing with life, now intertwined with the essence of the Net Net Fruit. The fruit was gone—absorbed into the system, its energy now the foundation of Netra.

Vegapunk stepped back, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. "It's done," he said quietly. "Now for the next step."

He turned toward the Door Door Fruit, which rested in a similar box. The fusion of this fruit into the server would be just as delicate as the first. Vegapunk linked the fruit to the gun, aiming carefully at the server. His fingers brushed the trigger once again.

"Let's see how well this works," he said softly.

He pulled the trigger. The energy surged down the pipe and into the Door Door Fruit. As it absorbed the wave, the server seemed to come to life, its lights flickering as the power of the fruit merged with the technology. The room filled with a bright glow, and the server's core pulsed with new energy.

Vegapunk turned to Juno, who had been watching eagerly. "Alright, Juno. Go ahead and power up the computer. Let's see if your Tera can handle the power of the Devil Fruits and make use of them as we planned."

Juno's excitement was palpable. He rushed to the console, his hands trembling slightly as he hovered over the power button. With a glance at Vegapunk, he pressed it.

The room held its breath.

For a moment, nothing happened. And then, the entire lab was filled with the hum of the computer and server coming to life. A faint glow radiated from both devices, and the air seemed charged with energy. The fruits' powers had merged seamlessly with the machines, creating a connection between technology and Devil Fruit abilities unlike anything the world had ever seen.
