Chapter 7 - A Dance With The Devil

The invitation to the charity gala had arrived unexpectedly, delivered to my doorstep in a sleek, black envelope with a silver logo emblazoned on the front. I had been surprised to receive it, especially since I hadn't been involved with the charity or any of the organizations that typically hosted such events.

But as I opened the envelope and pulled out the invitation, I saw that it was addressed to me personally, with a note attached that read: "Luca Moretti requests the pleasure of your company at the annual charity gala."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I read the words, my mind racing with questions. How had Luca managed to get my address? And why was he inviting me to this event?

Despite my reservations, I couldn't deny the thrill of excitement that ran through me at the prospect of attending such a high-profile event. I had always been fascinated by the world of the wealthy and powerful, and this seemed like an opportunity to experience it firsthand.

So, I accepted the invitation, and the day of the gala arrived. I spent hours getting ready, trying on different dresses and doing my hair and makeup. Finally, I settled on a stunning red gown that made me feel like a million bucks.

---

The night air was alive with the soft hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, and the sweet scent of expensive perfume. The charity gala was in full swing, with the city's elite mingling and laughing, their designer gowns and suits a testament to their wealth and status. I stood out, a vision in red, my dress a daring choice that had been both a thrill and a terror to wear.

The silk fabric hugged my curves, the daring neckline showcasing my décolletage. I felt like a siren, luring in the unsuspecting with my beauty. My hair cascaded down my back, a waterfall of gold that seemed to shimmer in the light. I was a vision, a goddess, and I knew it.

Luca's eyes found mine across the room, his gaze locking onto me like a magnet. He was a vision himself, his tailored tuxedo showcasing his broad shoulders and chiseled features. His eyes burned with an inner fire, a flame that seemed to flicker with desire.

The music was loud, and the lights were flashing, but all I could focus on was Luca's eyes, which seemed to be burning with an inner fire. He took my hand and pulled me onto the dance floor, where we swayed to the music like we were the only two people in the room.

"Bella," he whispered, his voice low and husky, sending shivers down my spine. "You look stunning."

I smiled, feeling a surge of power and confidence. "Thank you," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

He took my hand, his fingers wrapping around mine like a vice.

"Dance with me," he whispered, his breath hot against my ear.

As we danced, Luca whispered sinful things in my ear, his breath hot against my skin. I felt a rush of desire, my body responding to his touch like a flame to gasoline. I was lost in the moment, lost in the sensation of his body against mine.

But not everyone was pleased with our display of affection. Victoria watched from across the room, her eyes blazing with fury. She was a woman scorned, and her anger was palpable.

And then, just as I was getting lost in the moment, Ryan appeared at my side, his eyes filled with concern. Ryan was someone I just knew. I can't really remember how we started talking. But he has been a great person so far.

"Bella, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his voice low and serious.

I hesitated, feeling a pang of unease. But Ryan's expression was insistent, and I nodded, following him to a quiet corner of the room.

"What's going on?" I asked, feeling a sense of trepidation.

Ryan's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze piercing. "I don't think you should trust Luca," he said, his voice low and urgent. "He's not what he seems."

I felt a surge of defensiveness, my mind racing with doubts. Was Ryan telling the truth, or was he just trying to manipulate me? I didn't know, but I knew one thing - I had to be careful.

As I stood there, torn between my desire for Luca and my doubts about his intentions, I felt a sense of unease. The devil was charming, and I was dancing with him, but was I ready to pay the price?

The music was still playing, but the night was still young. And I knew that the night would only get darker, the shadows deeper, the temptations greater. I was walking a tightrope, balancing my desire for Luca with my need to protect myself.

But as I looked into Luca's eyes, I knew that I was already lost. The devil had me in his grasp, and I was ready to dance.

---

The night wore on, the music and laughter fading into the background as I became lost in Luca's eyes. He was a master of seduction, and I was his willing victim.

Oh! His eyes! His eyes was everything. You could get lost in it.

As we danced, he whispered secrets in my ear, his breath hot against my skin. I felt a rush of desire, my body responding to his touch like a puppet on a string.

But I was no puppet. I was a willing participant, a partner in this twisted game of desire and deception.

And then, just as I thought I was lost forever, just when it felt like a dream or it was my imagination, I felt Luca moving closer to me, his face slowly coming towards mine, the room kept getting hotter. Luca moved some of my hair falling down my face to the back of my ear. I was drawn to him and I could feel he was drawn to me too.

The room was dark but I could feel an intense stare at my lips and that made me biting my lips, subconsciously.

I think that little act got him to the edge and the next thing I felt was Luca's lips, brushing against mine, sending shivers down my spine. The kiss was like a spark of electricity, igniting a fire that seemed to burn out of control.

I was lost, completely and utterly lost, in the depths of his eyes, in the sensation of his lips on mine. And I knew that I would never be the same again. He kissed me so dark and pure at the same time, so raw, so sweet, he kissed me like kissing me was oxygen, like kissing me would save his life.

The room kept getting hotter and hotter and intense!

I slid my hand to the back of his hair, pushing more closer to me because I can't get enough. This must be love on the brain!

It was euphoric! Everything of how I wanted and imagined my first kiss to be. He doesn't know that though.

As soon as we separated for air, the lights came back on. I saw it in his face, his eyes. I saw it in his lips which was now red and plump from too much sucking and kissing, I could tell from his breath, I could tell from my heart beating rapidly that the devil had me in his grasp, and I was dancing with him, lost in a world of desire and deception.

But was I ready to pay the price?
