Chapter 9 - The first letter

59

Hey sis. I hope this letter finds you well. I am really sorry about putting you through all of this but who else can I trust. I mean come on, if you got even to this part I chose the right person to handle this.

First I want to ask you to please take care of Sada. She is separate from all of this but just in case... Well… you know. Just in case. Please make sure she is okay. And tell her I am truly sorry for all of this.

Listen sis I am going to really need you to go to a few more countries. Well seven actually. Jeez! I think I can hear you yelling at me right now.

Yes sis seven more. And all seven have another letter. You need all seven to obtain the information that I had to stash away. Each letter will have numbers, letters, or both on them. In the right order they will open the box.

The number for this letter is 59. I already gave you a crazy list of countries the important ones are Mongolia, Russia, England, Finland, Australia, Peru, and Jamaica.

Each will have a letter. They won't necessarily be with a person sis and once you have them all you will be able to see the correct code.

If things go south sis make sure that you get home safe. Hopefully, if all of this is needed I found you some adequate help.

I love you Jill.

Always and forever

Your Lil bro.

Jill was now wondering why she had decided to read this here. She sighed.

"Is he okay?"

She looked up to Sada with a smile.

"He told me to tell you how sorry he is for all of this and that he loves you very much. He wants me to make sure that you are okay. Jill tilted her head.

"Are you okay?"

Tears welled up in her eyes as she answered. "Yes."

It came out as a little peep and Jill was not sure if she had heard correctly at first. She nodded.

"Explain to me how you are okay." She sat back and waited. Taylor frowned but he sat back and waited as well.

"Well… I… I… Well."

By now both Jill and Taylor were frowning.

"Okay. I think we will approach this a different way. Is this your business or your job?"

"My job."

"Do you own your home?"

"I live with my parents right now and now we are renting."

"If I walk away from you today and never look back will you do better than okay for yourself?"

She teared up again and before Jill could say any thing Taylor spoke.

"Do you mind if I interject my love." Jill indicated that he should proceed. Taylor looked to Sada.

"Can I ask why you are a bit emotional? Do you have a specific situation going on that has you emotional."

She began to cry and Jill frowned, then her frowned slowly dropped to be replaced by wide eyes, then her face was full of excitement.

"Okay. This means I need to just take matters into my own hands. We are here for two more days. I need you to think about where you live. Will that be adequate for you? Is it big enough."

Sada shook her head, indicating no.

Jill looked to Taylor.

"We need to find them a big enough house. At least four bedrooms and we need to think about a profiting business."

"You could always buy the house we are staying in now."

"You don't think that will be overwhelming?"

"No. I don't think so. How could it be overwhelming it comes with servants."

"That could be the overwhelming part."

Sada watched Jill and Taylor go back and forth like she was watching a tennis match. The conversation alone was overwhelming.

"Sada. Are your parents fit? Stairs will not be a problem?"

"Uum. No. Stairs are no problem they are both very fit."

"Good."

By the end of the day Jill had purchased their rental house and moved Sada and her parents in. The house had six bedrooms so there was plenty of space. Sada's parents were just as overwhelmed as she was but they did not have the emotional spin to it.

After they had settled in Jill talked to Sada until she learned that she liked clothing. She liked to help people find their style and she liked to keep up with trends. Jill set her up with a nice sized boutique that would specialize in finding unique accessories.

When Sada saw the shop she actually fainted. It scared the crap out of Jill but Taylor caught her with practiced ease.

They were all sitting at the table on the back veranda. Jill sighed and looked to Sada.

"I am going to set up a bank account for the boutique and for you and your family and I will make sure that money is deposited into them both monthly so that your business has a good chance at success.

"We will be leaving tomorrow but I will definitely be back and I promise we will find Darren."

Sada put her hand on her stomach and looked a bit worried but she smiled.

"Thank you Jill.

"Seven cities?! What is wrong with your brother?"

"I was wondering the same thing." Jill shrugged.

Sada had gone to bed some time ago and Jill and Taylor had decided to stay up for a while and talk. They continued to get closer and closer daily and it was very easy to talk to each other.

Taylor watched Jill take a sip of her wine and he could not help but smile,

"Listen…"

Taylor had been reaching across the table when the large window at the side of the room loudly shattered into the room. Jill cursed. Because someone was crazy enough to break into a house she just bought and Taylor had a very interesting look in his eyes and now he just looked mad.

Jill was on her feet and waiting when Taylor pulled her down to a squat. Just as she was down bullets whizzed over their heads.

Oh. She was mad now.

Ever since the red head they had both been caring guns and they both still had theirs even though they were sitting in the house.

Jill fired first and someone outside screamed in pain. They split up and moved around to the shattered window from opposite directions always staying low.

Jill made it to the window first and she saw someone coming into the house. She was still pretty close to the ground but some how her leg shot out and knocked this person against the window frame.

He fell on his face and seemed to go to sleep. Taylor made it to the window and looked down at the sleeping man. He shook his head and looked to Jill who merely shrugged. They looked at each other for a long time, a plan formulating between them.

They both smiled and went into action.
