Chapter 8 - She’s Mine Now

Tang Ze handed Sun ing a bucket of spicy chicken wings. "Well done."

"Thank you, Master." Sun Ting couldn't hide her delight, knowing she finally had something genuine to savor.

As Tang Ze nodded approvingly, Sun Ting hungrily devoured the wings, occasionally tossing a few to An Bai, who eagerly gobbled them down to regain some strength.

"She needs sustenance too," Sun Ting realized. She couldn't let An Bai die—after all, it had been hard enough finding someone to rely on.

"Do as you wish," Tang Ze said indifferently.

Though reluctant to part with her prized meal, Sun Ting knew sacrifices had to be made for the future.

"Look at you two, covered in grease. Go wash up, and make sure she's spotless," Tang Ze instructed.

"Rest assured, we'll be immaculate." Sun Ting had become adept at keeping their captor pleased.

Once inside the small bathroom, Sun Ting closed the door behind them. The confined space barely accommodated both women.

Sun Ting frowned as she turned to An Bai.

"Why are you degrading yourself like this?" An Bai asked, confused by Sun Ting's self-abasement.

Sun Ting gave a bitter laugh. "Do we have any other choice? We must align ourselves with strength."

"But he doesn't seem that strong," An Bai countered hesitantly.

"Sister, he has a gun," Sun Ting snapped, tapping An Bai's forehead as a warning. Such words were best kept between themselves; if Tang Ze overheard, they'd pay dearly.

An Bai's eyes widened as realization dawned. Those gunshots echoing through the building—it was him all along.

Still feeling uneasy under scrutiny, An Bai bit her lower lip and murmured, "Can I go back?"

"Back? To where? Once you've agreed, there's no turning back. He's not some benevolent soul—I nearly died by his hand," Sun Ting warned sternly. Humiliating herself was one thing, but risking death was another.

Listening to Sun Ting, An Bai felt as though she had entered a lion's den, though at least there was only one predator.

"Since we're here, we might as well accept it. Who knows how long this life will last? To survive, we must trample our dignity and abandon our moral compass," Sun Ting said as she turned on the showerhead.

As warm water cascaded over An Bai's frail body, a long-forgotten sense of comfort enveloped her.

"Mmm..." In that moment, An Bai broke down, tears streaming down her face. Sun Ting sighed, consoling her. Women in this apocalypse had it tough, but they were still relatively fortunate.

After a while, the two emerged.

Looking at An Bai, Tang Ze chuckled softly. A flight attendant as beautiful as her would stir fantasies in any man. The entire building probably dreamed of her, and now she stood before him, her delicate figure seemingly waiting to be cherished.

An Bai understood what was expected of her and moved toward Tang Ze, though hesitantly.

"Indeed charming, though that pallor of yours is unsettling," Tang Ze remarked, causing An Bai to freeze. Was her complexion really that off-putting?

Tang Ze had exaggerated slightly; she was merely weakened from exhaustion, not as radiant as before. But the blow struck deep. Standing nearby, Sun Ting smirked and whispered, "Apologize."

"I'm sorry," An Bai murmured, her voice lacking confidence.

Unlike Sun Ting, An Bai appeared fragile, almost kitten-like.

"Let her rest and recover for a few days," Tang Ze decided. As much as he wanted to indulge, he found her too frail.

After all, beauties were scarce in this building—only these two remained.

Just then, a roar erupted from outside.

"Bitch! Where are you hiding? Come out! Don't make me kill you!" Ning Gu's furious voice echoed through the halls.

Returning home to find An Bai missing had enraged Ning Gu. He had already negotiated a price with the client, and now she had fled! If only he had locked the door when he left!

Tang Ze spoke softly. "What do you think your boyfriend will do if he finds you here?"

"No," An Bai pleaded, looking at Tang Ze with desperation.

However, Tang Ze gestured to Sun Ting, who understood immediately. Opening the door, she called out, "Handsome, over here."

Ning Gu, who had been searching the floor, froze. "Aren't you that livestreamer?"

"Yes," Sun Ting replied.

Ning Gu thought to himself: What a seductive livestreamer, dressed so provocatively—how vulgar.

But as he stepped inside, his expression stiffened. There was his girlfriend standing beside the couch, while the deliveryman lounged casually! And then his eyes fell on the KFC spread on the coffee table, and his lips began to quiver.

"Bitch! How dare you eat without me!"

The three of them paused, momentarily stunned. Of all things, food was the first concern in this confrontation.

Grabbing the fries from the table, Ning Gu shoved them into his mouth while Tang Ze smiled faintly, gently caressing An Bai's cheek right in front of him.

Ning Gu watched, eating mechanically. Anger simmered within him, but compared to the satisfaction of devouring the food, it hardly mattered. After all, who cared who played with her?

Once satisfied, Ning Gu wiped his mouth. "All this KFC is mine, along with the drinks."

An Bai's tears flowed silently, realizing Ning Gu didn't care about her anymore.

When Tang Ze remained silent, Ning Gu assumed consent. "An Bai, what are you standing there for? Come here! My woman charges by the minute!"

"Sorry, but your woman belongs to me now," Tang Ze said calmly.

"You come here!" Ning Gu barked, moving toward Tang Ze, intending to drag An Bai away.

But Tang Ze pulled a Desert Eagle from between the sofa cushions.

Ning Gu's eyes widened in shock, unsure of what to do next.

"Big brother, let's talk this out. I was wrong—she's yours," Ning Gu stammered, instantly apologizing. This woman was going to be the death of him.

Tang Ze smiled amiably. "You've eaten my food. Aren't you forgetting something?"

"Right, right—thank you," Ning Gu hastily added.

A loud bang echoed through the room.

Blood splattered everywhere.
