Chapter 31 - To Hell with Civilization

Upon seeing the reply, Bi Jian chuckled and said, "Seems like he still has feelings for you. Keep going."

"I'm sorry, I was wrong. Can you forgive me?"

Ye Qingyi couldn't take it anymore; she wanted to reach through the screen and pound the shameless woman into the ground.

"She's such a manipulative woman who pretends to be innocent," An Bai fumed. "Master, don't soften your heart towards her."

"Haha, do you really think I'll forgive you? Never!"

Cao Yu's expression darkened upon reading the reply. How dare such an uncouth person talk to her like that?

But Bi Jian was an old fox: "The angrier he gets, the more it shows he cares. You wouldn't understand this. Keep playing the weak card."

"It was my fault back then—I was foolish. Could you give me another chance?"

"Not unless you kneel down and send me a photo first."

Cao Yu almost exploded with rage. That lowlife actually expects me to kneel?

But with Bi Jian's guidance, she reluctantly took the picture and sent it over. Seeing the photo, Ye Qingyi felt a secret thrill. "Tang... Master, she knelt."

Tang Ze glanced at it briefly. "Good job. Now get the address from her."

"Mm."

Ye Qingyi continued replying, "You're much more obedient now than before. Give me your address, and I'll see just how submissive you can be."

"Tell him," Bi Jian instructed after a moment of thought. Once we grab the person, those supplies won't go anywhere.

"Hill Lake Community, Building 3, Unit 1, Apartment 501."

"Wash yourself up and wait for me." After sending the reply, Ye Qingyi felt a wave of satisfaction wash over her.

Tang Ze grabbed the phone and gave it a quick glance. "You're quite the conversationalist, even telling her to clean up. Why don't you go entertain yourself with her?"

"Ah, no, no, no! I was only helping Master vent," Ye Qingyi quickly shook her head.

"You two seem to be chatting so enthusiastically. Tell us something about yourself."

Ye Qingyi asked in confusion, "About me? What do you mean?"

Had she done something wrong again to provoke this devil?

An Bai reminded her gently, "Just some personal details—like why you weren't seen much around the community earlier, or how you met your fiancé."

At this, Ye Qingyi's expression turned sorrowful. "I'd been hiding out at my sister and brother-in-law's house until the day my brother-in-law was betrayed by his own kin—and they killed both him and my sister."

The other three didn't react strongly to this. Such betrayals seemed all too common; everyone had their share of scars.

"So how did you meet your fiancé?" Sun Ting leaned forward eagerly.

"Well… it wasn't anything special…" Ye Qingyi began instinctively but quickly added, "We met during an advertising collaboration."

Sun Ting pressed further, "Did you know he came from a wealthy family when you started chasing him?"

"Of course not! At the time, he was interning at his family's company, holding a lower position than me. He was the one shamelessly pursuing me."

"Money tactics?" An Bai asked curiously, her eyes wide.

"If it were just money, he wouldn't have succeeded. It was shamelessness combined with tender affection tactics."

Sun Ting laughed. "Every decent woman falls for that combination."

"What was your reaction when you found out he was rich?" Tang Ze was curious whether she should've been happy or upset.

Ye Qingyi joked lightly, "Isn't there a saying? You can pretend to be poor, but you can't actually be poor."

"Spot on!" Sun Ting gave a thumbs-up.

"Just kidding. To be honest, I was angry back then—but also strangely happy. It was very conflicting," Ye Qingyi recalled truthfully.

Suddenly, Sun Ting threw out a loaded question. "So now, who do you prefer—Master or your fiancé?"

"Of course, my fiancé is better," Ye Qingyi answered without hesitation.

An Bai thought to herself, This isn't good—Master will definitely get angry.

But Tang Ze showed no signs of anger, choosing instead to express his displeasure through action.

In the garage:

"Boss, let's storm Building 3 tonight."

"That's right—we've already taken care of Buildings 2 and 5. There's no need to worry about numbers. That crappy gun doesn't have many bullets left anyway."

"Boss, think about it—a whole stash of supplies, plus three stunning beauties."

Hearing his underlings' words, the supplies didn't excite him much. But picturing the figures of those three women—that was the real motivation. What man could resist such exquisite beauties, while that damned delivery guy got to enjoy them every day?

Compared to the women at his place, there was simply no comparison.

A few deaths? Let's do it!

"Prepare yourselves. Tonight, we eliminate that delivery guy—but we need to plan carefully. Eliminate him without hesitation!" Ding Feng steeled himself. Either enjoy the beauties and supplies, or get eliminated yourself. No third option.

The bold feast, while the timid starve!

That night, Ding Feng gathered his trusted subordinates, promising them time with the captured beauties. Only then did they agree with grins.

At the large round table sat ten men, Ding Feng at the head, solidifying his role as boss. Next to him sat his girlfriend—not particularly pretty, but young and useful.

"Feng Ge, now that you're the big boss of the community, when are you leading us to conquer the world?" One of the underlings slurred drunkenly, chuckling.

Ding Feng took a sip of beer and laughed. "Conquering the world might be stretching it, but this district is ours for the taking. When that happens, what beauty won't be within our grasp? Even celebrities will be ours."

"Boss, can I have Li Linger? Just once—I'd die happy," a rat-faced man slurred drunkenly, his yellow teeth almost nauseating.

The short man next to him burped loudly. "I want Li Linger too."

"You men—can't you speak more politely?" Ding Feng's girlfriend rolled her eyes. She's a rising star idol, breathtakingly beautiful. You're not even worthy of kissing her feet.

The second-in-command snickered. "Sister-in-law, what we do isn't exactly polite work. Who cares about manners?"

"Screw politeness—cheers!" Ding Feng raised his glass.

"Cheers!"
