Morgetha was going to speak, when the Magus landed before them, alighting their broomsticks.
"Really, Fuhrer, this whole broom thing is getting old" Arsila commented
"Quiet, give me the girl" Fuhrer sharply said, the time for play has ended it seems.
"To what end? What shall be my gain in that?"
"You will do as your father says, Arsila" Fuhrer's previously plain brown eyes transforms revealing his true blazing bright orange orbs. He is a 'Gifted one' too, apparently with the power to control elements.
Orange eyed elementals usually are gifted with the power to control one or two elements, some even three out of the four elements; water, air, fire and earth. Fuhrer is an elemental with the power to control the elements of fire and earth.
"Father?" Arsila scoffed, "You barely raised me. Left my mother pregnant with a child, let her and her husband throw me out when they discovered how "dangerous" I was. I had to fend for myself on the street, feed off scraps like some rat, learn all tricks necessary to survive by myself on the street and all the while you knew, Father" she said the last word jeeringly.
"You only took me in when you discovered I was more than just a sorcerer. And now I should do what you say?" she laughed a dry, bitter laugh. The laugh of someone who had been ignored by their own parent in time of need.
"Admit Fuhrer, you only took me in because you discovered that the gift didn't end with you, because you thought that I was the one foretold by the prophecy"
Morgetha was confused, then she turned to look at her mother and saw that her magical blue eyes cloak had been removed and her eyes were red, blazing. She was a 'Gifted one'. So, that's what Fuhrer meant by it runs in the family. Another secret Arsila kept from them. At this rate, Morgetha might just believe anything about her mother. She doubted the king knew all these about his wife, he probably didn't even know she was a sorceress.
"I'll admit I have some faults" Fuhrer admitted, "But you my dear are just like your father"
"I am not like you. I do not let my children suffer and take them in only when I consider them "beneficial!""
"Really? Then say you didn't think same concerning Morgetha" Fuhrer dropped a bomb, sudden silence dropped upon everyone, Arsila could not say another word. There was truth in Fuhrer's words, she paid more attention to Morgetha than her other children because she thought she was the one foretold of in the prophecy. That's why she never let her father or the Magus know of her daughter's gift.
"Mother?" Morgetha confusedly asked, it seemed that was the final blow, the final secret of Queen Arsila. "You used me?" her voice was shaky, like someone who was close to tears.
"No, no, Morgetha" Arsila was saying coaxingly, as she took tentative steps towards her daughter. The last thing she wanted was for her daughter to feel the same resentment towards her that she felt towards her father.
"Don't come near me" Morgetha warned taking steps back, as she now stood in front of Arba, "Don't come near us" she said shielding Arba from her mother she now considered totally vile.
"Be careful dear, we don't know how dangerous she is" Arsila was concerned about the safety of her daughter, the purple eyed girl could truly be dangerous. "No one knows the extent of her powers"
"I doubt she is anywhere near as dangerous as you, mother" Morgetha said, Arsila felt she walked into that one.
"Really, you must all have the wrong person" Arba made her voice heard, "I really don't think I have powers"
"Shut up" Fuhrer and Arsila said in unison
"No one is talking to you, girl" Fuhrer said
"You will just keep your mouth shut" Arsila added
Arba visibly shrunk behind Morgetha keeping her mouth shut and her head down.
"But you are taking about her, are you not? Does she not have a say?" Caleb spoke for her
"You will be quiet too, Caleb"
"I will not let you harm her" Caleb said going to take Arba's hand, standing in front of her by Morgetha's side.
"You fool! Step away from her, both of you!" Arsila yelled at her children
"What is this? I have had enough!" Fuhrer stated, his orange eyes fully blazing and bright. He hit the ground, as he stood across from Caleb, with his leg and the earth rippled from his foot down to where Caleb was stood. As it got to Caleb, the ground projected upwards sending him flying and dropping him a couple feet ahead unconscious, all happened within seconds.
"Caleb!" both Arba and Morgetha screamed as they saw him standing next to them one minute and unconscious on the ground the next. They both ran to him. As they did, Fuhrer was hurtling a huge rock towards Morgetha.
"No!" Arsila bellowed and immediately the weather turned darker, the clouds rumbled, thunder roared, the wind became fierce carrying her up as though she was flying. She had the power to control the weather.
As Fuhrer saw her eyes blazing as she manifested her power he lost control of the rock he had been hurtling towards Morgetha and it fell to the ground. In a way, he was proud to see his daughter still got it after all these years of playing royalty.
While Morgetha, who was knelt by her unconscious brother with Arba, was still comprehending the fact that her mother can control the weather, Arsila fired a lightning bolt towards Fuhrer, he didn't see it coming but moved out of the way just in time.
Then like a snap, full out commotion broke out. Fuhrer was fighting Arsila with fire and magic, the Magus began attacking her with their magic; another of them, it seems, is also an earth elemental. Arsila fought back at all of them with magic and her powers, making the weather more horrible as the wind picked up. Morgetha just couldn't tell on which side Misera was fighting; if for the Magus or for Arsila.
It was as though, Arsila was causing a hurricane, the dust started rising in the air and twirling, it was so strong, that the Magus (safe Fuhrer) had to find what to hold on to in order not to be carried with the wind. Fuhrer had fastened his foot to the ground by controlling the earth to form foot holds over his shoes. He was firmly rooted to the ground.
