Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Very sleepy

After a ten-hour journey, they finally arrived at the capital. The journey was long and tiring, even though they were using a high-class carriage adorned with mana crystals, it still felt very long. Upon reaching the capital, the calming atmosphere slightly eased Hastora's fatigue. However, Hastora was still fast asleep inside the carriage, a consequence of the long journey they had endured. His body, now far weaker than in his previous life, due to the loss of power after reincarnation, made his fatigue even more pronounced. He had to restore the power he had lost over the past twenty thousand years.

The carriage continued to move, entering the capital and heading towards Uncle Brok's residence. The carriage's speed was reduced to avoid disturbing the capital's residents. Silence enveloped their journey, a stark contrast to the high speed they had maintained outside the city.

"Finally arrived," Zarafel murmured softly to Hastora, who was still fast asleep.

Hastora, soundly asleep due to the long journey, didn't hear Zarafel's words. His power, lost after reincarnation, made his body feel incredibly weak. He had to restore his power to what it was twenty thousand years ago, and even surpass it.

Although his power would eventually return to its former glory, Hastora was determined to enhance it even further. His ambition to avenge Aurora, the purple-haired woman who caused his death twenty thousand years ago, was his primary driving force. Even his power twenty thousand years ago wasn't enough to defeat Aurora. Therefore, he was determined to acquire far greater power. Even though defeating Aurora, who possessed the power of authority, was almost impossible, Hastora was still determined to seek revenge by obtaining even more formidable power.

Zarafel, realizing that Hastora was still asleep, felt a little annoyed that his words were ignored. He felt awkward having spoken to someone who was asleep.

"Hey, you damn Demon Lord! Wake up! We've reached the capital, you idiot!" Zarafel shouted in an irritated tone.

Hastora, disturbed by the shouting in his sleep, thought it was just a hallucination. He ignored it and continued sleeping.

Zarafel became even more annoyed that his shouting was ignored. He shouted even louder, trying to wake Hastora.

"You stupid fool! This virgin Demon Lord still won't wake up! Wake up, damn it!" Zarafel shouted in a higher pitch.

The increasingly loud shouting finally woke Hastora. He opened his eyes and looked around. His father and mother were beside him, and he was sitting in the carriage.

Although still blurry, he heard the shouting again. Hastora tried to wake up completely. Once fully awake, he heard Zarafel's shouting. He asked Zarafel about the source of the noise.

"Zarafel, did you hear someone shouting earlier?" he asked curiously, rubbing his still-sleepy eyes.

"The one shouting was me, you idiot! We've reached the capital! How long are you going to keep sleeping?!" Zarafel shouted, explaining that the source of the noise was himself.

Hearing this, Hastora immediately looked out the window. Sure enough, they had reached the capital. Zarafel wasn't lying.

"How long have I been asleep?" Hastora asked with a sleepy face.

"Ten hours," Zarafel replied, his tone no longer as harsh as before.

...

After traveling for thirty minutes, they finally arrived at Uncle Brok's residence.

"We're here, Hastora. Wake up and let's get out," Elsia said as she got out of the carriage.

"I'm already awake," Hastora replied flatly. His drowsiness seemed to have vanished.

He got out of the carriage, stretched, and straightened his hair.

"Let's go inside," Elsia invited, carrying her suitcase towards Uncle Brok's house.

Hastora followed Elsia and Ard from behind. It seemed that Uncle Brok already knew about their arrival, as the servants were lined up neatly to greet them. Elsia had previously sent a letter to Uncle Brok, informing him of their move.

"You're late, Elsia," said Erlan, who had just come out of the mansion.

"It's only five minutes, it's not a big deal, right?" Elsia said with a small laugh.

Elsia ran quickly towards the mansion, put down her luggage, and immediately hugged Erlan who was standing at the door.

"I'm here, Father!" Elsia shouted with joy.

Erlan seemed happy that Elsia would now be living with him. Ard had also arrived at the mansion, carrying so much luggage that it almost covered his entire body.

He was carrying five suitcases and several other items. Brok chuckled as he saw Ard struggling with his luggage.

"HAHAHA! It seems my little sister didn't help you at all," Brok said, laughing.

"Don't laugh, you jerk! This is tiring, you know," Ard said as he put down his luggage on the floor and stretched his waist.

"Sorry, Honey. I forgot we were bringing a lot of stuff. Are you okay?" Elsia asked with a hint of worry.

"It's not a big deal. I'm fine," Ard replied, giving Elsia a thumbs-up.

Hastora was still feeling sleepy. However, he tried to hold it back because his entire family was still gathered there.

"What the hell is wrong with this body? I'm still so sleepy even after sleeping for ten hours," he muttered to himself, slightly annoyed by his persistent drowsiness.

"It's because you often stay up late, so you're sleep-deprived. That's why you're so sleepy now," Zarafel explained.

"What? Such a trivial matter can make me so sleepy like this? Twenty thousand years ago, I didn't even need sleep! I only slept when I wanted to," Hastora said with a hint of annoyance.

"Hey, you damn Demon Lord! Stop comparing yourself now to your past self! You've reincarnated, you know? You have to restore your lost power first before you can say that!" Zarafel shouted angrily.

Erlan, Brok, Ard, and Elsia walked towards the dining table. Brok saw Hastora and invited him to dinner.

"Hastora! What are you doing there? Come here!"

Hastora could no longer hold back his drowsiness. He decided not to join dinner and go straight to sleep.

"Sorry, Uncle. I won't join dinner! I'll go straight to sleep, I can't hold it back anymore," he said.

Hastora immediately went upstairs and left them all behind. Brok wanted to stop him, but Ard prevented him.

"Just let him be. He looks very sleepy. You don't need to force him. He'll start academy tomorrow," Ard said.

Hearing Ard's words, Brok decided not to force him. Barna and Horn came down from upstairs. Barna knew that Hastora had left dinner and wanted to go straight to sleep.

"Hastora, your room is in the hallway on the left," Barna said, pointing to the direction of Hastora's room.

Hastora walked towards the place Barna indicated. However, he was confused because there were many hallways leading to the left.

"There are so many hallways leading to the left. I'm having déjà vu," Hastora said, trying to hold back his drowsiness.

He saw a servant, but he didn't ask. He realized Zarafel's presence in his mind.

"As usual, Zarafel," Hastora said, asking Zarafel to find the correct hallway.

Zarafel immediately told Hastora the correct hallway. He didn't need to analyze the mansion again because he had done it before.

"The hallway on the left, number two," Zarafel said.

Hastora immediately went to hallway number two and entered his room.

"Damn, I can't hold it anymore—" Hastora hadn't even finished his sentence when he fell fast asleep on the bed.

Zarafel burst into laughter at the sight of Hastora falling asleep instantly.

"HAHAHA! You're such a loser!"
