Chapter 6

Early in the morning, Yuri couldn't be seen in his bed. Instead, he was outside, seated on the cold ground in a meditative pose. The sun had barely begun to rise, and the village still lay in the quiet blanket of pre-dawn. Birds chirped faintly in the distance, and a slight breeze stirred the grass around him. He was meditating, his mind focused, his breathing slow and controlled. He was training his chakra control.

Yuri, having knowledge from his past life—through watching and reading Naruto—knew the importance of chakra control. The three foundational exercises were clear to him: leaf concentration, tree climbing, and water walking.

His first step was the leaf concentration exercise. Yuri had read that mastering this simple yet crucial practice was essential for precise chakra control. "Perfecting this exercise is for my own good," he murmured to himself as he concentrated, a single leaf stuck to his forehead.

Starting from that day, Yuri dedicated himself to mastering the leaf exercise. Whether it was while walking to school, eating his meals, studying, or even taking a bath, there was always a leaf attached to some part of his body. He constantly switched locations—from forehead to arm, from palm to foot—to train his sensitivity and mastery over his chakra flow.

A week passed, and the leaf never left him.

To outsiders, it might've seemed odd, but Yuri knew what he was doing. He avoided onlookers when possible, doing most of the intense focus training in hidden corners or when alone in his room. In his head, he recalled all those fanfictions he'd read in his past life—stories of reincarnated souls in anime worlds, wielding power, embarking on adventures, and living exciting new lives.

But reality? It was boring as hell.

Most days passed in routine: academy, study, meditation, training. Excitement was minimal. There were no sudden power boosts, no epic quests, just the slow grind of improving himself bit by bit.

Still, he kept at it.

In the second week, Yuri moved on to tree climbing. He found a secluded grove near the outskirts of the village—away from prying eyes—and began his training. Each attempt required him to mold chakra to his feet in precise amounts. Too little, and he'd fall. Too much, and the bark would break.

Yuri trained hard, falling again and again, sometimes scraping his knees, but he never gave up. Day after day, he returned to the grove, determined to master the second step of chakra control.

When it came to shuriken throwing, however, Yuri preferred companionship. That's when he'd join Itachi at the training grounds. Over time, he became familiar with Shisui and Izumi. The three were curious about him at first—especially with how much he resembled an Uchiha.

"I thought he was from the clan," Shisui once said to Itachi, glancing at Yuri's pale skin, long dark hair, and calm demeanor.

Itachi chuckled softly. "He's not. But he might as well be with how serious he is in training."

That remark broke the ice. Shisui, with his cheerful and open personality, quickly befriended Yuri. Izumi was a bit more cautious at first, but Yuri's respectful nature won her over too.

In the following weeks, they would sometimes train together, though Yuri still preferred solitude for chakra-focused exercises. Social interactions were kept minimal, but meaningful. Shisui and Yuri shared a silent understanding—both valuing effort and improvement.

By the end of the month, Yuri had finally mastered tree climbing. He could run up and down trees with ease, even while doing handstands or balancing objects. His control over his chakra was beyond what anyone his age should possess.

His next goal was water walking.

This training would be much harder—it demanded dynamic chakra control, adjusting with the constant movement of water under his feet. But Yuri was ready.

Despite being just seven years old, Yuri's dedication and discipline put him leagues ahead of his peers. His chakra reserves weren't enormous like Naruto's, but they were well-honed. He didn't waste even a single ounce.

And so, his quiet days of studying, training, and observing continued.

There were no grand battles.

No cosmic-level events.

Just a boy with the soul of another world, quietly grinding in the background.
