Chapter 6 - Chapter Six: Facing Her Demons

Jared wasn't caught off guard, familiar with Beatrice's trust issues and sensing the storm brewing. As he caught up to her, he offered a calming smile and gentle gaze. "My love, why do you always jump to conclusions? Tessy is just an old friend from school. Is a simple greeting really worth walking out on me?" he asked, his voice laced with empathy. Jared reached for her hands, but Beatrice swiftly pulled away, her eyes blazing with suspicion. "Give me your phone," she demanded, her voice firm. "I want to see if you didn't exchange numbers with her," she added, her words dripping with accusation

"Are you kidding me?" Jared's voice rose in frustration, his anger simmering just below the surface. "I just told you, Tessy is an old friend from school. Of course, we exchanged numbers - it's not a crime!" He was exhausted from constantly defending himself, tired of having to justify every innocent interaction. Falling for Beatrice had transformed him, turning him from a man of few words into a chatterbox desperate to prove his innocence. Yet, no matter how much he explained, Beatrice refused to believe him. Jared's fury and disappointment boiled over, his patience wearing thin.

"Let me tell you something, Beatrice," Jared said, his voice firm and angry. "Tessy is a happily married woman with three kids. She's also my cousin and old school friend. I've known her forever. But you, Beatrice, you're getting worse every day. Your love for me is turning into an unhealthy obsession. I feel trapped and suffocated in this relationship. You promised to change, but you never do. You need help, Beatrice. You're losing control. I'm done. I need peace. It's over between us." Jared's words cut through the air, and he shook off Beatrice's desperate attempt to hold him. He turned and walked away, leaving Beatrice standing alone.

As soon as Jared walked away, Beatrice's tears burst forth like a flood. She ran after him, desperate to make things right. When she finally caught up, she threw her arms around him, apologizing profusely. But Jared remained stone-cold, ignoring her pleas as he jumped into his car and sped away without a word. Beatrice collapsed to the ground, overcome with grief. "This is all my fault," she sobbed, memories of their once-perfect relationship flooding her mind. Jared had been her dream partner - attentive, loving, and kind. But things started to unravel when she became obsessed with tracking his every move. She recalled the anxiety that gripped her whenever his phone was off or unreachable. "How did it come to this?" she wailed, tears streaming down her face. "I need help. I'm losing my mind.

At that very moment, Jared was driving away, while Beatrice was still overcome with sobs. Suddenly, they both flashed back to the same painful memory. Beatrice had completely lost it that day, smashing Jared's shiny new phone against the wall. The reason: Jared had refused to share his phone's password with her. The memory came flooding back, a harsh reminder of the tension that had been building between them.

The memory of Jared's shocked face still haunted her "That day Jared couldn't believe his eyes," she thought, tears streaming down her face. "I destroyed his expensive phone, and I have hurt him so deeply. I always Embarrassed and doubted him, How could I do that to him when I love him?" She sobbed, overwhelmed by regret and sorrow.

As Jared drove away, memories of Beatrice's hurtful behavior flooded his mind. He remembered the times she had let him down, made him feel foolish, and questioned his every move. He recalled the moments she had lashed out at him in anger, her words cutting deep. "I deserve better than this chaos," Jared thought to himself, his heart aching from the pain. "I need to escape this toxic relationship before it's too late.

Beatrice sobbed uncontrollably, the thought of losing Jared piercing her heart like a knife. She grabbed her phone and dialed his number, but he didn't answer. She tried again and again, eight times in total, but Jared's phone remained silent. It was clear he was ignoring her. With a heavy heart, Beatrice hailed a taxi and climbed in, tears streaming down her face the entire ride home. The city lights blurred together as she wept, her world shattered by the thought of living without Jared.

Letting go of her painful past was almost impossible for Beatrice. The hardest part was that she had unfairly punished Jared for Keith's hurtful betrayal. Overwhelmed with regret, she burst into tears again. Meanwhile, Jared drove home, feeling shattered and confused. "I had only good intentions for her, I love her so deeply," he thought to himself. "But she's so hard to understand, and I feel trapped. It's better this way." He longed to show her his love, but she never gave him the chance. That night, Jared couldn't shake thoughts of Beatrice, and sleep eluded him. He truly loved her, but felt he had done all he could to save their relationship.

Beatrice called Rachael, pouring out her heart and sharing every detail. But instead of sympathy, Rachael was livid. "I won't get involved, Beatrice. This is between you and Jared. I thought you'd make my brother happy, but instead, you've become a source of stress. I love you like a friend, but Jared is my brother, and I don't think you're good for him,That's not fair, Beatrice! You've taken out your anger and hurt from Keith's betrayal on my innocent brother. Jared doesn't deserve to be punished for someone else's mistakes. He's a good person who loves you, and you've been treating him poorly because of your own unresolved issues, Here's a rewritten version:

"I've tried to talk sense into you, Beatrice, but you wouldn't listen. I've been patient and understanding, but you've refused to see reason. You've let your past hurts and insecurities consume you, and it has succeeded in tearing you and Jared apart."" Rachael's angry words cut deep before she abruptly hung up. The rejection stung, but as the night wore on, Beatrice faced a painful truth: she needed help. She couldn't keep hurting those she loved. With a newfound determination, Beatrice resolved to seek out a therapist and confront her inner demons once and for all.

A few days passed, and Beatrice found herself at a breaking point. She couldn't shake off the darkness that had been suffocating her. With a heavy heart, she decided to seek help and made her way to a therapist's office. As she walked, she couldn't help but think, "I'm falling apart. I feel so lost, so empty, and so sad." Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. "But I love Jared, and he's worth fighting for," she reminded herself. "He's been my rock, my safe haven, and yet I've pushed him away time and time again." The weight of her regret threatened to overwhelm her, but she steeled herself, determined to face her demons and heal for Jared's sake, and for her own.

The taxi ride seemed endless, and Beatrice's mind wandered to all the painful memories she'd been trying to escape. Finally, the taxi pulled up to the therapist's office. Beatrice stepped out, took a deep breath, and went inside to register. She settled into the cozy waiting room, flipping through a magazine as she waited for her turn. Before long, the receptionist called out, "Beatrice, the doctor is ready to see you now." Beatrice stood up, smoothed her dress, and made her way to the therapist's office. As she stepped inside, the therapist greeted her warmly, "Welcome, Beatrice." Beatrice forced a weak smile and sat down on the plush couch, sinking into its softness. The office was like a quiet study, with walls lined with books and a calming atmosphere that immediately put her at ease.
