"Captain, what's going on here?"
Casa looked at the two Rin standing on the deck and asked in a confused tone, clearly unsure which one was the real Rin and which was the copy.
Seeing this, Rin smiled and explained the Shadow Doppelgänger Technique, then directly taught Casa the unique hand seal method required for activation. "This ability is quite useful you can use it for training, just like I do."
"It's an incredible technique." After memorizing the seal sequence, Casa couldn't help but exclaim. He planned to try it out as soon as he had a moment.
Before long, Artoria emerged from the cabin, and Rin also shared the hand seal information with her.
Artoria, too, was visibly surprised by the technique.
But Rin just smiled and shook his head. Then he pulled out three bottles of the Forging Body Spirit Liquid and handed two to each of them. "This stuff is called Forging Body Spirit Liquid. I acquired it by chance. Every time you bathe, pour one-tenth of a bottle into the water, soak in it for a while, and it'll strengthen your body over time. It can only be used once per day."
As he spoke, Rin added with a grin, "I'll go take a bath first."
With that, he turned and walked into the cabin.
Behind him, Casa and Artoria stood on the deck, staring at the bottles in their hands, slightly dazed.
Their confusion wasn't over how the elixir worked—Rin had already explained that in detail—it was where these mysterious items kept coming from.
Neither the Shadow Doppelgänger Technique nor the Forging Body Spirit Liquid seemed to be part of any known martial system or Devil Fruit ability, and they had never even heard of such things in the East Blue.
Casa looked down at the bottle in her palm, then over to Artoria, whose expression mirrored her own uncertainty. Finally, she chuckled softly and said, "Either way, he's still our captain."
With that, Casa also headed to the bath, eager to try the forging solution herself.
Behind her, Artoria blinked at her words, then smiled faintly and murmured to herself, "That's right… no matter what mysteries he holds, he's still my captain—a man I can count on."
Then, Artoria, too, walked inside.
The waters of the East Blue remained tranquil, undisturbed by storm or strife. Since Rin's bounty had surged past ten million berries—placing him among the top bounties in the entire sea—even fellow pirates had begun avoiding their Jolly Roger. That fear granted the trio the rare comfort of taking their time to rest and recover.
——–
Time flowed on.
Two days passed.
Loguetown the town of beginnings and endings appeared on the horizon.
The Pandora Pirates had arrived.
On deck, Artoria exited the cabin holding two straw hats, their brims swaying in the breeze. "Mr. Captain," she said with a half-smile, "want to wear a hat for a little disguise? After all, you are currently the most wanted man in the East Blue."
"You've got a point." Rin nodded with amusement, took one of the hats, and placed it casually on his head.
Artoria then wore the second one herself.
At a glance, the two hats looked almost identical, except for their color schemes clearly designed to be worn as a matching pair.
Casa, watching from behind, raised an eyebrow and gave a sly, knowing smile. "The captain's luck with women is truly… enviable."
...
To avoid attracting the attention of the Marines stationed at Loguetown, the Pandora Pirates' ship docked discreetly on a secluded beach behind the town.
After disembarking
"I'll go purchase some supplies," Casa said, holding a list in her hand.
"Alright," Rin nodded. "Be cautious. Loguetown has a permanent Marine presence don't get caught."
"Relax," Casa waved and set off into the crowd with practiced ease.
Then Rin turned to Artoria. "What about you? Anything you'd like to do?"
"Hm…" Artoria thought for a moment, her hand at her chin, then slowly shook her head. "Nothing specific, no."
"Then come with me. I've got a few things to do in town," Rin said with a grin.
"Yes, Mr. Captain." Artoria smiled, falling into step beside him.
Aside from resupplying, Rin had two main goals: to send a letter to Guina back in Shimotsuki Village, and to see the execution platform the very same spot where the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, had died.
It was time to see the place where the great pirate era had begun.
Without hesitation, the two of them walked toward the bustling heart of Loguetown.
...
As the final stop before Reverse Mountain and the Grand Line, Loguetown was constantly busy. It was a port town steeped in history and commerce, where pirates, Marines, and merchants coexisted in uneasy proximity.
The streets were alive with movement vendors shouting, townsfolk bargaining, and distant Marine whistles blaring.
Rin first located a post office and arranged for his message to be delivered to Shimotsuki Village the home of Kuina and Koshiro. Then, he led Artoria deeper into the city.
They weaved through the crowds, heading toward the city square.
And then they arrived.
...
The square was wide and open, and at its center stood a raised wooden platform the place where Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, had smiled defiantly before his death.
Even now, people passing through the square would pause, tilt their heads upward, and stare at the execution platform in solemn reflection.
The Pirate King had died there.
Rin and Artoria stood at the base, looking up.
Drawn by an unseen force, Rin stepped forward, ascended the steps, and placed his hand against the cold wooden frame. The touch sent a strange chill through him, sparking memories of Roger's final words words he had once read in his past life, long before arriving in this world.
"Want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place. Now you just have to find it!"
...
"One Piece…"
Rin whispered the words, his eyes half-closed, as he muttered to himself in a voice only Artoria could hear. "The era of the great pirates… began with you."
"But"
He opened his eyes, voice sharper now. "I, Rin Pandora, will become the strongest man of this era. Some may believe that the age belongs to Whitebeard… or to Monkey D. Luffy. But soon, they will know the truth."
"This era will be remembered as the era of Pandora!!"
