Technology is primarily about invention and invention is the ass end of the phrase Mothers of Invention, a rock band which did not roll with the Magic Band because technology and magic, one governed by the laws of nature and the other not, could never be bound by anything but rivalry. They were rivals. They are part of a law. They will be used to prove that law.

Clarke's third law into something less science fictional (which he was a writer of) into something more rock (which he might or might not have been) and by rock, think of the great rock albums of the 1960s. 1969 to be exact, a year which technology and magic wowed the world.
