Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Invitation.

Hundreds of years ago, the Ferro Empire had not yet split, and the current Gondor Kingdom was just a duchy.

According to records, it was an era of many talented people.

The martial virtues flourished, and many legendary figures were born.

Among them was a swordsman named Meyer, who was respected as the Sword Saint. His swordsmanship was unique.

Meyer, the Sword Saint first determined the eight routes of long sword slashing. No matter which direction the practitioner slashed from, he could keep himself in the process of switching from one momentum to another.

In other words, it is always in a state where he can switch between attack and defense at will.

This is an unprecedented innovation.

The eight routes seem simple, but when combined, they can have endless changes, and then derive many swordsmanship.

Fierce Wind Swordsmanship belongs to this school.

Grip! (One-handed or two-handed, normal or reverse holding)

Stance! (Defense)

Slash! (Attack)

Finally, it is the combat skills that can be used after the swordsmanship is integrated!

Karl's forehead was sweating, and his body was steaming. The broadsword in his hand was like a whirlwind spinning around him.

The sharp sword force could crush everything close to him.

"Hah!"

"Ha!"

Unlike the absolute rationality and perfect control in the mysterious place, practicing swordsmanship in the real world is much more difficult.

Fortunately, the previous experience is still there, but his body's strength is a little unfamiliar, and it can still be reproduced with more practice.

"Swish!"

Combat skill - Fierce Wind Slash!

Three afterimages appeared out of thin air and slashed across.

"Huh..."

Karl stopped his action and showed an excited look on his face.

"Master the swordsmanship there first, and return to reality to practice while the body still has some muscle memory."

"The experience is still there, the memory is still there, even if it can't reach the same level, it can achieve twice the result with half the effort."

At normal speed, even if he becomes a knight's squire, it will take more than a month for him to reach the current level of swordsmanship, or even longer.

But now, in a few days, he can almost stably perform three afterimages, which is no worse than many knights' squires.

"Not only that!"

Karl clenched his five fingers and felt the power of his body. He had the urge to punch through the wall.

"Because I can perfectly control my body, I can absorb the power of the secret medicine when I take it there."

"The effect of practicing breathing techniques is also better."

"If I take the secret medicine here, I'm afraid I can't stabilize the realm of a knight's squire now."

With the help of that mysterious place, Karl has reached the level of a knight's squire in just a few days, both in terms of physical fitness and swordsmanship skills.

Moreover, his strength is still increasing rapidly.

If the Fierce Wind Slash can cut out four residual images, it will be no less than a knight's squire.

People are in high spirits when they are happy. Even when they have to go to work after the holiday, Karl can smile.

The red and white uniform is a little loose on his body, but it can't hide his high spirits. He straightened his clothes in front of the mirror. The emblem of the Bergman family was embroidered on the collar, which was particularly eye-catching.

Every noble has his own family emblem.

The emblem of the Bergman family is the most common clover on the roadside.

Some people say that the three-leaf clover was chosen because it symbolizes unyielding and tenacious vitality.

In fact, it is not. It is just because Karl's grandfather is uneducated and too lazy to think about it, so he just chose it casually.

If you look into it, the real noble coat of arms needs feathers, crowns, shields, top flags and mottos, etc.

"I am just a small baron and I don't have my own territory yet, so don't be too particular."

Shaking his head, Karl stepped out.

Inspection Hall.

"Baron Karl!"

"Hello!"

"Baron, you are here."

"Yes."

"..."

Very few people who can work in the Inspection Hall are of common origin, but nobles are still a minority after all. The news that Karl inherited his father's title has long been spread, and other people have become more enthusiastic when they meet and greet each other.

"Karl!"

"Commander Dinah."

Karl stopped in front of the heroic woman.

"At the end of the month, Earl Rekton will hold a coming-of-age ceremony for his son at a manor outside the city, and invite the nobles in the city to attend." Dinah handed over an exquisite invitation.

"My cousin Martha will also go at that time."

"Hmm?"

Karl frowned and said: "Sir, I really have no plans to get married now."

"You can contact each other first, it won't waste much of your time." Dinah had a blank expression: "Or do you plan to refuse an earl's invitation?"

"This..." Karl sighed and took the invitation: "Okay!"

"Don't look wronged." Dinah turned the exquisitely shaped cane in her hand and nodded at him gently: "With the wealth of Martha's family, it is enough to match a baron without territory."

"Yes."

Karl nodded not denying this.

After saying goodbye to Dinah, a fat figure ran over quickly, stretched out his arms and hugged him tightly. (Fatty friend for the win….)

"Karl, you're finally back. You don't know how bored I was without you!"

"Kalie!"

Karl said with a smile: "I haven't seen you for a while. You've gained weight again."

"Hehe..." Kalie let go and took a step back, scratching his head: "Not much weight."

Kalie's father was also a baron, but unlike Karl, he had several brothers and sisters, and his eldest brother was the designated heir to the title.

The title and the family property had nothing to do with him, so even though he was an inspector, his life was still tight.

The two joined the inspection hall one after the other, and they were also not very popular, so naturally they gathered together for warmth.

"Let's go!"

Karl waved his hand and said: "Let's go have a drink."

The work of the inspector was easy. He came to register every day, and then he could leave in the name of inspection.

Of course, he had to be on duty every few days.

"Have you heard?"

On the way, Kalie whispered: "It has been decided that the army to attack Cobourg will be led by the Grand Duke of Saxony, and soldiers will be recruited again."

Every marquis and earl has his own Grand Duke. After Cambyses died, the nobles under him naturally did not want to continue to serve after the change.

There are not enough soldiers, and they will definitely be recruited again.

"Well."

Karl had expected this and asked: "Do you think we will be recruited?"

"Probably not." Kalie shook his head: "Even if they recruit from Sino City, they will not recruit inspectors. Who will maintain law and order if we leave?"

"That's right."

Karl was slightly relieved.

Although most inspectors are just for show, it would not look good without them.

"But did Grand Duke Cambyses really die of illness? He was only in his fifties, which is the prime of life for a knight, let alone a legendary knight."

"I heard..." Kalie lowered his voice and said mysteriously: "The Grand Duke was burned to death!"

"Burned to death?" Carl's face changed: "The fire thief?"

"Possibly." Kalie nodded, and just as he was about to speak, he turned the street and bumped into someone.

"Ouch…!"

Although Kalie is fat, he actually has no strength. He fell backwards after being hit lightly.

Fortunately, Karl helped him, otherwise he would have been covered in mud.

"What's wrong with you?"

As soon as he stood firm, Kalie couldn't help but shout angrily: "Don't you use your eyes when you walk!"

The other party was a pale young man. Hearing this, his face sank and his triangular eyes narrowed slightly.

Swish!

In an instant, Karl's hair stood on end, and a sense of fear rose in his heart.

Danger!

He subconsciously pulled Kalie beside him and took a step back, with a look of surprise in his eyes.

"Miles." Not far away, a carriage opened its curtains, and a gorgeous woman waved over here, saying: "Come here quickly."

"Humph!"

The young man's eyes moved slightly, and he snorted coldly at Kalie,

"You're lucky!"

After that, he turned and walked towards the carriage.

Kalie's fat was tense and his eyes were angry, but he did not stop him and let him get on the carriage.
