Bahamut's mighty power compelled all the Grand Aeons to emerge from their hidden lairs and gather upon the newly formed battlefield, a scar upon the face of Naraka.
"From this moment forth," Bahamut decreed with an undeniable and authoritative voice that echoed across the ravaged land, "the northern territory beyond this divide shall belong to the Order of the Moon!"
"And from this moment forth," he continued, his gaze sweeping across the assembled host, "the southern territory on this side shall belong to the Order of the Sun!" Thus, he established a new and stark division of power amongst them.
Astaguna and Hara were now separated by an impassable dividing line, a chasm rent deep within the world's heart. Days bled into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. The war amongst the Grand Aeons subsided for a time, yet the seeds of discord and hatred lay dormant within their hearts, waiting for fertile ground.
Humans descended from Hara grew and flourished in the fertile southern region. One day, a woman named Clarissa Constantine, a descendant of Hara possessed of great and irresistible curiosity, ventured into the forbidden forest where Demantra Ent'tra dwelt in solitude.
The wise Demantra, seeing great potential within the young and spirited Clarissa, began to impart to her all his vast knowledge of nature and the hidden ways of life.
Gradually, Clarissa, in whose heart affection for the charming Demantra had begun to blossom, came every day to meet the Grand Aeon in the shadowed depths of the forbidden forest.
Unbeknownst to Demantra, Clarissa, who was by now deeply enamoured, offered him a peach that had been tainted with the Blight by the hand of Rivotra, a cunning snare laid to shatter the harmony and peace that had been established, however fragilely.
Through the deceit of Rivotra's insidious Blight, Clarissa managed to win Demantra's heart. They were wed in secret, without the knowledge of the other Grand Aeons, including Ave, who remained ever focused upon the building of the temple and the spreading of his teachings.
Until, as Clarissa and Demantra shared their deepest intimacy, a tragic and unforeseen event occurred. Demantra lost his Maha, his extraordinary power shattering into fragments of soul that then took residence within his children, who were called Remunah Emusa Maha, or more commonly known as REM.
It was this REM that caused some of Demantra's descendants to possess diverse and strange abilities, such as the taming of wild beasts or the forming of pacts with the denizens of the mysterious Orkusshura world. They inherited but a small portion of the great Grand Aeon's power.
The descendants of Demantra and Clarissa spread rapidly throughout the southern region, causing many instances of REM presence in the mortal world. All of his lineage inherited diverse and strange powers as time wore on, creating a unique and surprising bloodline.
Meanwhile, Clarissa, bound by the debilitating Blight, could not age and remained eternally youthful, while her husband Demantra aged swiftly, feeling the inevitable weight of the passing years.
Demantra, in his wisdom, did indeed realize the doom that had befallen him. Jagannath, his wise uncle, had once foretold the terrible consequences should he wed a mortal human; he would lose his sanctity and his invaluable power would wane.
All of his power was now slowly fading, and a small portion was transferred to Clarissa, who became a vessel for the malevolent influence of the Blight.
Ave, who had been engrossed in worship and the activities of the temple for hundreds of years, finally noticed the strangeness stirring in the world around him. Sensing the weakening and loss of Demantra's power, Ave sought out all the scattered descendants of Demantra.
And with a fury born of grief and fear, he drained all the blood from his brother's children, attempting to restore the lost power of his sibling by their slaying.
Of course, Clarissa did not stand idly by as her children were brutally slaughtered. With the fragments of Demantra's soul called REM flowing in the blood of her descendants, she fought Ave alongside her kin. A fierce battle ensued, staining the southern region of the Naraka continent with the massacre of Demantra's innocent lineage.
Rivotra, ever watchful for an opportunity to sow discord, saw an opening in the success of his wicked plan. Exploiting the chaos and bloodshed, he attacked the southern region with the Order of the Moon, who remained under the sway of the dark Blight.
Of course, Bahamut and the others did not stand idly by as they witnessed the horrifying slaughter. Led by Bahamut and Ave, they fought against the power of Rivotra and the enraged Order of the Moon.
War raged anew, more terrible and devastating than before. Demantra's descendants were no match for the Grand Aeons who possessed extraordinary Maha power.
They began to be marginalized and overwhelmed by forces far beyond their own. Meanwhile, Rivotra cared naught for their fate; all that mattered to him was absolute dominion over Naraka.
Demantra, with his remaining dwindling power, created a strong protective dome to shield his remaining children from the ravages of war.
He aged even more swiftly, his body slowly transforming into a single seed of the tree of life, offering hope for the survival of his lineage in a future filled with uncertainty.
Meanwhile, the Naraka continent began to fracture as the Grand Aeon Titan Og rampaged indiscriminately, unleashing his uncontrolled rage due to the Blight's insidious influence.
Ninety percent of the population of the eastern region perished in his devastating rampage. Bahamut watched all of this with a heart heavy with sorrow, witnessing the endless bloodshed. He wept, lamenting all this destruction, and so did Ave, who felt profound grief over the loss and chaos.
Finally, the Order of the Sun realized that their mother's tears did not permit them to directly harm each other. But it was the humans, their descendants, who became the hapless victims of their eternal and futile conflicts.
Rivotra and the Order of the Moon, who had been exposed to the Blight from the very beginning, attacked Bahamut with full force. Ice from Eira's Maha power pierced the heart of the mighty Bahamut.
In his unbearable pain, Bahamut retaliated with extraordinarily powerful Maha lightning, striking Eira with the full force of his rage.
The Naraka continent was this time truly destroyed and fractured into seven separate parts by the colliding Maha powers. Demantra was cast adrift along with his protective dome, landing in a distant and isolated place.
The forbidden forest where he had dwelt was sundered from the Lalaluna archipelago, the very cradle of the great Grand Aeons.
Meanwhile, Ave was burned by Ifrit with extraordinarily hot Maha fire, his body consumed by uncontrollable flames. Ba'i Yang, who possessed venomous Maha, transformed into a terrifying giant serpent, spewing his deadly poison at the helpless Ave.
Eira, with her remaining dwindling power, launched a final assault upon Ave, freezing him within a cold and piercing ice crystal, filled with Ba'i Yang's lethal venom, rendering Ave helpless, frozen in unspeakable and eternal pain.
Witnessing the destruction and death of his beloved siblings, Karasu Tengu, with his Maha power called "Anti Maha," created a strong and impenetrable protective dome, separating the continent where they stood from the six other shattered continents, isolating themselves from the endless and despair-filled conflict.
All of the Order of the Moon sought to end the war that had claimed the lives of Bahamut and the helpless Ave. They desired to eliminate Nyanja, Mythria, and Karasu Tengu, the remaining members of the Order of the Sun.
However, Maha Tengu's "Anti Maha" power was absolute; none amongst the Order of the Moon could penetrate his sturdy protective shield.
That day fell fifteen thousand years before the era of Jade and his companions. Clarissa Constantine was judged by Karasu Tengu, Nyanja, and Mythria for all her actions that had wrought such catastrophe.
She pleaded with the remaining Order of the Sun not to exterminate her innocent descendants. Clarissa vowed never to leave the splintered island now called the Thousand Flower Archipelago, exiling herself and her lineage forevermore.
Centuries passed. Clarissa, aided by her remaining descendants, painstakingly created a dense Spirit Forest surrounding the foothills of their settlement.
They released Mystical Beasts and the diverse tribes of the Orkusshura world to guard the entry and exit to their dwelling, which they called the City of Mandaraka, a final sanctuary for them.
Every day, all the Grand Aeons of the Order of the Sun visited them out of affection and a sense of responsibility. They could not completely abandon Clarissa and their own descendants, despite the many tragedies that had transpired.
One day, Mythria came to impart knowledge of technology and reading to Clarissa's descendants. Mythria brought with him a rare chunk of Mythrilblood for them to study.
And Clarissa learned that she would not be immortal if this mineral could bring her harm. Clarissa, who could not age or die due to her exposure to Demantra's sanctity, felt her life empty and meaningless in the vast expanse of time without her beloved.
Without Demantra Ent'tra by her side, Clarissa could no longer find solace in life with her children, who were already prosperous in Mandaraka, in the first house they had ever built together.
In deep despair, Clarissa cut her own throat with the Mythrilblood that had been sharpened to a razor's edge.
Before drawing her last breath, she swallowed a seed from Demantra Ent'tra's tree of life, and then her body transformed into a giant tree that still towered in the centre of Mandaraka to this very day, becoming a symbol of sacrifice and hope for her descendants.
