The few people that were around when I teleported in and lopped off Goldie's head immediately start screaming and running, it seems like he just put out a fire, what a nice guy you are, Goldie.
Wait! Doesn't this make me seem like the bad guy though?… Meh, not the first time.
By the way, can you guys stop screaming over there? It's not like he's dead you know, if it was that easy, I would have done it from home.
Already, he's regenerating his head albeit slowly.
I look towards the screaming people as if conveying a 'You see?'.
Watching him regenerate his head is almost as creepy as D's when I punched hers off.
He turns to look at me with a little bit of panic on his golden face, yeah that must have destroyed a lot of 'shards' and he no doubt realizes I'm the cause of what is going on, on his main body.
He tilts his head, observing me— my image perception blocker obviously doesn't work on him— seemingly trying to communicate something.
'Oh, I'm sorry, me no speak alien'.
I instantaneously appear in front of him, fist stretched back and coated in the same energy and punched him through a portal I opened.
Even though I tried to minimize the damage, it does not stop the surrounding area from turning into debris. I go into the portal as well and it winks out of existence.
…
…
We are currently in an uninhabited world, where civilization has literally died out, I couldn't find a lot of info but it seems a biokinesis virus was released into the air and water, the notes I found mentioned something about evolving humanity to perfection, apparently perfection means death.
Nai wa.
It was a sad place to come across, I ended up fixing things but there was nobody to appreciate it which was why I had a beach party here 2 chapters ago.
I focus my sights on Goldie who created a large crater on the ground from when I punched him.
I would have used my [Territory] on him but trapping him might cause him to lash out, thereby taking drastic measures.
And who knows, he might just 'figure' something out about energy conversion, then somehow gain a 'final form'. I don't need that type of cliche in this fight at all.
He stands up and his chest is regenerating. He stretches his hand and a beam of light comes my way but it is redirected back to him through a portal, he dodges it easily.
He should be able to break through my portals with those type of beams but all I have to do is use up more energy than the beam he fires.
Because right now, I have a lot of energies, plenty energies, all of the energies.
Seemingly noticing this as well, he appears in front of me and I'm crashing through multiple buildings, I can't even keep count, I think I even made it to the next city, yep definitely did.
Ugh, being punched while under various thought acceleration abilities is not nice at all.
I can see him already flying towards me with no resistance whatsoever, I isolate the space around myself and equally zoom to meet him with not a resistance as well.
As we clash fists, a city wipes off the map.
The space fractures and we are in another alternate world. I slice him through the chest with my scythe and that part blackens, healing very slowly, he takes a distance and immediately burns himself with his beam seemingly creating more injury.
I would think he's stupid but he knows exactly what he is doing.
The [Rot Attribute] of my scythe is basically the personification of death energy, so by cutting that part off his body, he can regenerate it normally.
I hate dealing with enemies that know how to make quick decisions in battles.
Going after him again with my scythe, he starts… zooming off?… Oi! Don't run away from me, he is surely feeling the ridiculous drain on his energy reserves already but since I'm spending a large amount of energy to isolate his main body, he can't do anything about it.
Speeding up, he passes through various alternate worlds and I'm right on his tail. Why is he trying to run anyway? This is literally a battle of attrition in my favor.
If he doesn't fight me, he risks losing his energy reserves and embracing entropy.
Is that okay Goldie? Are you really fine with that? I mean, I would be very happy if you decide to give up, though. It would make things easy for me and I like easy things, why do you think ramen is my favorite midnight snack?
More alternate worlds zoom past us, and as I get close to him, I do not notice quickly even with my fast though processes, he releases the same beam of light in an AOE burst, I block with my scythe and quickly teleport few meters above, looking at him.
I look at my missing arm in annoyance, the arm that held my scythe, said scythe automatically disappears into my sub space.
My arm regenerates instantly.
Cool.
The thing about Gods regeneration is that as long as your soul isn't destroyed and you have sufficient energy, you can regenerate your body endlessly and since I'm brimming with energy, not even a full body disintegration could kill me, although it would hurt so I'd like to avoid it, thank you.
The energy beams Goldie uses has no metaphysical aspect to it, so he wouldn't be destroying my soul anytime soon.
Eh? Don't I have this one in the bag already?
…
…
Oh myself, I spoke too soon didn't I?
Oi! Oi! Stop that, blackholes are not allowed, time out, time out. Are you trying to kill everyone in this world?
I immediately isolated the space around the black hole that Goldie casually created. It's natural that anyone would be scared of a black hole you know.
Trying to destroy the world in one move is not fair at all. Where is your game balance?
Do you not feel pity for all those living their lives here?
Yare yare. You are really keeping me on my toes aren't you?
Goldie is floating a couple distance before me, annoyance present on his face.
I can tell that he is losing energy at a rapid pace, my spiders are in the trillions already.
He looks at me, really looks at me and then did something I didn't think he was capable of. In hindsight, I should have know he would be able to.
He spoke.
"Who are you?" He says.
His voice holds no inflection whatsoever, a default voice from a computer sounds more human than him.
He sounds off.
Alien.
Now that he puts me on the spot like that, I can't help but squirm, don't talk to me please! I have no social skills, they are dead!
I can't even hold my liquor and you expect me to hold a conversation? No way, no way, no way, that's impossible.
But not one to pass up a chance to look cool, I say one word.
"Vengeance." I respond.
There, nailed it!
I don't wait for him to respond— definitely not because I can't maintain a conversation or anything like that— and immediately activate my [Future Sight] on a constant 10 seconds refresher and activate the opposite of the [Inert Evil Eye] on myself which I named [Blitz Evil Eye] and the world slows even further than before.
I'm on Goldie again with a punch and this time using that same energy to enchant my full body, he can't react as fast as before, I punch tens, hundreds, thousands of times in less than a second, fists passing through force fields, resistance and flesh? as if they are not even there.
Going 'Ora, ora, ora, ora' when it seems like time is stopped is an obligation after all.
I take a distance as time flows back to the previous level and Goldie is shooting through countless buildings and not stopping, going further and further, I follow after him even as I teleport various people out of the way, the others who do not make it, I say a little prayer in my mind. We have been moving so fast that no one can even react to us.
He finally crashes into a sea, sending waves of water everywhere. I briefly look around the area wondering if it's the Japan equivalent of this world. They would be dealing with irregular weather patterns for a while.
My [Future Sight] warns me of a situation and I immediately teleport in front of Goldie, still underwater, kicking him back into that same uninhabited world and quickly teleporting thousands of meters into the sky.
A continent and some more disappears.
Oi! Are you serious? That's too hardcore, that would have completely destroyed that island(?) you know.
I know I'm not one to talk but there was a lot of innocent civilians there you know, it would feel like I failed if I had let them die, especially when I have access to this much energy and besides that, do you not care about energy expenditure anymore Goldie?
I estimate he doesn't even have up to 500 years worth of energy left anymore. Nai wa.
If the father of their powers can escalate this much, is it a wonder that the Parahumans are the way they are? Teleporting back down to the now barren land, I prepare to put an end to the battle, before he gets any more ideas.
Doing so would cause me to lose all of the spiders present in the location but if it's to secure victory then it's definitely worth it.
I look towards Goldie in front of me, I make sure not to look below since he has long since lost his outfit, the only reason I still have mine on is because it is imbued with spatial attributes.
Somehow, he looks like he has given up. I see. It would have left a bitter taste in my mouth if he had tried to go the Araba route.
I first of all activate a [Spatial Separation] skill on the spiders I put on the brains of every Parahuman, then isolated their connection to their shards, they can deal with losing their powers for a few seconds. Those spiders are also capable of highly potent healing magic so they can solve any unforeseen problems that might arise.
Looking at Goldie one final time, I activate my final move through every one of my spiders present in the main bodies of the aliens.
(Spiders: Quadrillion range.)
[Annihilating Evil Eye]
And then Goldie disappears from my view.
