Hiruzen put his pipe down and shook his head. "Danzo, drop it."
"I won't," Danzo said, his voice hardening. "Konoha is our village, not the Uchiha's. They're growing more rebellious by the day. Why don't we just—"
"Enough."
Hiruzen cut him off, his tone carrying a finality that brooked no argument. "The Uchiha have their place. My priority is the stability of Konoha."
Danzo narrowed his eyes but said nothing further.
He knew Hiruzen too well. The man had a softer front, but when necessary, he wouldn't hesitate to act in the shadows—just like he had with the Senju clan.
"What is Uchiha Liunian doing at the Hokage Rock?" Hiruzen asked, glancing back at the crystal ball.
Danzo scoffed. "Why would he go there instead of the training grounds?"
