Chapter 93 – Ruthless Pursuit
"Roar!!"
While Onoki was stunned, Han—who had fully transformed into his Tailed Beast form—erupted with a mighty wave of Tailed Beast Chakra and launched a ferocious attack on him.
"This...?"
Onoki felt like he was about to lose his mind.
But Han was already under the influence of a powerful genjutsu—cast by none other than Uchiha Yuta's Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. With no choice, Onoki could only grit his teeth and try to stall Han's assault as best he could.
"Yakura, are you being controlled again?"
Swish!
With the sound of air tearing, Elder Genji from Kirigakure narrowly dodged the attack from the fully transformed Three-Tails.
Inwardly, he was utterly exasperated.
Yakura had gone on and on about redeeming himself for past mistakes, yet the moment he fully transformed, he fell instantly to Uchiha Yuta's illusion.
"How weak is this guy's willpower?!" Genji thought in frustration.
"Tailed Beast Bomb!"
Yakura, eyes glazed and movements controlled, launched another attack—firing a Tailed Beast Bomb directly at Genji.
"I—!"
With no other options, Genji activated Water Style Instantaneous Movement and barely managed to evade. Old as he was, there was no way he could overpower a fully transformed Three-Tails Jinchūriki. He could only hope to stall long enough to be saved.
"Dammit," he thought. "Why did I leave the comfort of ruling Kirigakure behind? If I die here, who'll keep Terumi Mei in check?"
"Rasa, what are you standing around for?! Join the fight!" Genji shouted as he dodged another blow.
"I'm thinking!" Rasa responded with forced seriousness.
Swish!
Before Genji could say more, the Fourth Kazekage—Rasa—turned and bolted, running in the opposite direction without hesitation.
"Rasa, where are you going?!" Genji yelled in disbelief. "We're supposed to be the Allied Shinobi Forces!"
"Hmph, I'm not an idiot. That Uchiha is too strong—I'm out of here!" Rasa shouted while fleeing, his fear plain in his eyes.
He was terrified.
Uchiha Yuta's strength was unnatural. His oppressive aura and unmatched chakra pressure, combined with the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, made him a monster. Just thinking about it sent chills down Rasa's spine.
What haunted him more was the memory of his forces—over two thousand Sand Shinobi—wiped out in a flash. Sunagakure was already weak, and now it had become even more crippled.
"Where do you think you're going?"
A calm, almost amused voice echoed nearby.
Uchiha Yuta had already reappeared in front of Rasa, blocking his path, eyes glowing with the pattern of the Eternal Mangekyō.
In truth, Yuta had initially planned to go all out against the entire Shinobi Alliance. But when three Jinchūriki foolishly entered full Tailed Beast Mode in front of him, he couldn't resist the opportunity. Against Tailed Beasts, the Eternal Mangekyō was the perfect counter. It was less like a battle, more like a father disciplining his unruly children.
"Uchiha Yuta?!"
Rasa's face twisted in shock. Just as he was about to respond—
Swish!
Yuta surged forward, eyes glowing. Rasa hurriedly formed hand seals.
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Cube!" he shouted, hurling a massive block of gold dust at Yuta.
"Heaven-Shattering Fist."
Yuta raised his right arm, wrapping it in a pale-white glow mixed with Armament Haki, and punched forward.
Crack—BOOM!
The cube collided with the punch, detonating into a golden cloud of shimmering dust.
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Wave—"
Rasa tried to form more seals, but before he could react, a long blade pierced through his back. Blood gushed forth.
"You panicked. That was just a shadow clone."
Yuta pulled the sword—Cloudcutter—cleanly out of Rasa's body.
Poof!
The clone in front of Rasa vanished into smoke.
"I—"
Clutching his bleeding wound, Rasa tried to speak, but all that came out was blood. Moments later, he collapsed, lifeless.
He died not even realizing how it all ended.
Ironically, even if he had survived this battle, his fate in the original timeline was death—at the hands of Orochimaru.
"The Fourth Kazekage is dead?!"
Yugito Ai, Onoki, and Genji—still fending off their respective Jinchūriki—were all visibly shaken. None of them expected Uchiha Yuta to kill so decisively and mercilessly.
Rasa was a Kage. Capturing him could've been useful. But Uchiha Yuta gave no such consideration.
"Ai, you go first. I'll try to suppress the Eight-Tails—"
BOOM!
A loud grunt of pain echoed. The berserk Eight-Tails suddenly halted. It was clear Kirabi had begun struggling for control.
"Lord Onoki, Elder Genji, flee!"
Just then, Han and Yakura also abruptly stopped moving—the Five-Tails and Three-Tails momentarily paralyzed. Their hosts were fighting for control from within.
"Now's our chance! Scatter!"
"Separate directions—we can't afford to all be captured!"
"This Uchiha is insane—he kills without hesitation. He's a demon!"
Knowing they had no time to lose, Yugito Ai, Onoki, and Genji exchanged glances—and fled in three different directions.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Under the stunned gazes of countless Konoha Shinobi, three of the five most powerful men in the Allied Forces fled like defeated dogs.
"Trying to run?"
Uchiha Yuta activated his Observation Haki to lock onto their fleeing signatures.
Then, he chose a direction—and began the chase.
"Why me?!" Genji nearly cried out when he saw Yuta heading his way. "Go chase the Raikage or the Tsuchikage—why me?!"
But it was too late.
Barely a minute later, Genji was caught and executed—quickly, efficiently, and without mercy.
