Chapter 8 - Even Missing 30,000 Yuan in Pocket Money

White Shuqin and Guan Ruihui were kicked out of the Jiang family's entrance without even stepping into the foyer, but this incident didn't cause much stir inside the mansion.

On the other side, Jiang Su, having lost face due to the earlier incident, decided to drag Lu Xuexi out of the villa. As they walked along the garden path, he continued to comfort her.

"Xuexi Jie, don't be upset. Brother Huai is just biased. Even though you gave up your room, he still said such things. It's not like you've just been found. What's so great about that?"

Lu Xuexi sighed softly and replied gently, "Xiao Su, I know you're doing this for my sake. But please, don't say such things again in the future. I wasn't originally a Jiang family daughter. Everything that belongs to me should have belonged to Xu Xu. Brother Huai wasn't wrong when he said that."

"What do you mean by that?" Jiang Su exclaimed, his face full of displeasure. "In my heart, Xuexi Jie is my only sister. That Guan Xu Xu, I don't acknowledge her!"

While they were talking, they suddenly heard Guan Xu Xu's voice.

"This Aunt Wu has some karma attached to her. If left unresolved, it might affect the family's feng shui. If my dad asks me to help, I can help resolve it, but it will cost 30,000 yuan."

They turned to look, just in time to see Guan Xu Xu speaking seriously to Aunt Wu, extending three fingers as she spoke.

Guan Xu Xu had originally stopped Aunt Wu due to the lingering negative energy on her, and now that she had dealt with the irrelevant matters, she intended to get down to business.

Although she had returned to the Jiang family, Guan Xu Xu wasn't used to asking for money from others. But now, solving the karmic issue would not only help, but she could also earn her college tuition fees.

Even with blood ties, some things had to be calculated clearly.

Jiang Zhi Cheng and Jiang Huai didn't expect her to suddenly change direction so quickly.

After all, feng shui and metaphysics didn't seem like things that Guan Xu Xu would be involved with.

They assumed she was simply asking for pocket money under the guise of solving a metaphysical issue.

Their hearts softened.

Since when did the children of the Jiang family need 30,000 yuan in pocket money?

Jiang Huai immediately took out his phone to transfer the money. "Is 30,000 enough? I'll transfer you 100,000. If it's not enough, just ask me for more."

Jiang Zhi Cheng, slightly upset that his son was ahead of him, took out his phone as well, ready to transfer 300,000, making sure it was more than his son's.

However, as he pulled out his phone, he realized that he didn't have his daughter's contact information.

Upon hearing this, Guan Xu Xu immediately understood they had misunderstood something.

"I'm serious."

"I know, I know." Jiang Huai chuckled and smiled at her, his tone full of tolerance.

Aunt Wu, who had been startled at first, quickly regained her composure and responded, "So the young lady is saying that I have karma attached to me? In that case, I'd appreciate the young lady's help in resolving it."

Guan Xu Xu: ...

Can these adults respect my profession a little bit?

Though this wasn't her first time encountering such situations.

Just as she was about to speak, a scoff suddenly came from nearby.

"Such a low-level scam for money, and you have the nerve to ask for 30,000 yuan."

Jiang Su couldn't hold back any longer. Despite being scolded earlier, he couldn't stand Guan Xu Xu's behavior.

Lu Xuexi quickly caught up and pulled Jiang Su's arm, looking apologetic.

"Xu Xu, little brother didn't mean to say that. Please don't be upset with him."

Guan Xu Xu's gaze shifted indifferently from the two of them, ignoring them. She turned her attention back to Aunt Wu.

"Your marriage line in your palm is broken, which means you likely lost your husband early. But you have a son. Judging by your face, I can tell your son is going through a hardship, likely related to money."

Guan Xu Xu wasn't very good at face reading, so she could only give a basic reading.

But even this basic reading left Aunt Wu stunned.

Especially when she heard the part about the hardship related to money, a flash of panic appeared in Aunt Wu's eyes.

Guan Xu Xu continued, "Normally, your karma wouldn't affect the master of the house, but I can see that your fortune is slightly connected to the Jiang family… You've stolen some of their wealth."

The last sentence was spoken with certainty.

Aunt Wu's body suddenly shuddered.

No, that couldn't be true! She was certain this girl was just talking nonsense, there was no way she could know what she had done...

Jiang Zhi Cheng and Jiang Huai had originally been listening with amusement, but hearing the serious tone in her voice, they couldn't help but look at each other, their expressions turning more serious.

Lu Xuexi looked at Aunt Wu's reaction, her expression filled with surprise.

"You… You mean to say Aunt Wu has stolen from the family?" she asked, seeming disbelieving. She quickly added, "There must be some misunderstanding. Aunt Wu has worked for the Jiang family for nearly ten years. How could she do something like that?"

Aunt Wu, still slightly flustered, heard Lu Xuexi's words and immediately put on an expression of being wronged. She spoke in a sorrowful voice.

"Young Miss, you can't say that about me. How could I ever steal from the Jiang family? Everyone in the house knows me. I'm not like that."

She then turned to Jiang Su, "Young Master, you believe me, don't you? I could never do something like this... I..."

She began to cover her face, on the verge of tears.

Jiang Su, who had always been taken care of by Aunt Wu since childhood, couldn't stand seeing her like this. His face hardened as he turned to Guan Xu Xu and shouted loudly, "What's wrong with you? How could Aunt Wu steal from the family? You just arrived at the Jiang family today, what do you know? You don't know anything, yet you're making these wild accusations just to scam Uncle out of a few thousand yuan. What's wrong with you?!"

In Jiang Su's eyes, Guan Xu Xu was just a stranger he met for the first time today, while Aunt Wu had worked in the Jiang family for ten years. Naturally, he trusted Aunt Wu more.

He felt increasingly uncomfortable with this so-called cousin.

Lu Xuexi quickly spoke up as well, "There must be some misunderstanding. Could it be that Aunt Wu did something that upset you?"

Her words seemed to subtly suggest that Guan Xu Xu was using her position to take revenge on someone out of personal grudges.

Aunt Wu, sensing some support, suddenly began to sob loudly.

"Young Miss, I know you must be upset because Madam Guan mistook me for your biological mother earlier. My status is low, and I can't compare to someone like you, but you can't slander me like this. I'm an old woman. You're trying to ruin my life with these accusations."
