Reina watched the scene, a flicker of anger in her eyes. She would never let this matter slide easily, but the young maid knew she had to first strike a deal with the mysterious figure to ensure her young master's safety.
However, she thought the crisis was already over.
While Conning and Flora were frantic, pulling at their hair and at a loss for what to do.
The mysterious figure suddenly let out a cold laugh. "Aren't you two going to say something? Do you want me to make a deal with your brother instead?"
"My lord, is there any room for negotiation? If you have conditions, just tell us," Conning and Flora quickly responded, their minds racing and speaking with desperate urgency.
The mysterious figure simply gave a sinister smile. Though his face was obscured, Conning and Flora still felt a chill run down their spines. "I just need a small favor from your Daister family."
"You know well enough, I can't act directly," the figure spoke slowly. This wasn't an idle threat. Due to the nature of his power, even if he acted outside the city, the Church would likely detect his actions.
Although the Church had undergone significant changes compared to a thousand years ago, the figure wasn't willing to take any chances.
The Vikalina he encountered earlier still wore a "hypocritical" expression, and such people were troublesome to deal with!
"The task of capturing Sivis will be up to you."
"We? We can't do that!" Conning and Flora both shook their heads rapidly in disbelief.
Sivis' combat abilities were terrifying—he could even kill a seventh-tier bronze assassin in an instant. Who knew what his true strength really was?
From how the assassin had managed to break through Sivis' shield, it seemed he was still within the bronze ranks, but the gap between bronze tier seven and tier ten was vast—lightyears apart!
The entire family would likely be unable to subdue him now!
"No, you will have the strength," the mysterious figure replied as his words barely left his mouth. Before they could respond, he shot forward like lightning.
A shadow flashed across his eyes, and had it not been for Sivis provoking him and the need for that one thing, the figure wouldn't have resorted to such a method.
Using this ability would expose him, and even though he could still hide, the Church would definitely begin an all-out search for him!
But...
The figure had no other choice.
At least this method was safer than him acting personally.
In the next moment, both Conning and Flora were lifted into the air, one by each hand.
They immediately felt as though they couldn't breathe, struggling desperately, shouting, "Wait! My lord, what are you doing? No! Spare us! Don't kill us! We really don't know how Sivis' strength suddenly increased so much!"
"We didn't hide anything!"
They struggled violently, foaming at the mouth, looking as if they were on the verge of death.
The sudden change in events left Reina stunned.
She had no idea what the mysterious figure intended to do.
Conning and Flora begged for mercy, but the figure only sneered coldly. "What, haven't you two already agreed to help me capture Sivis? Then I'll give you this chance."
With that, a sharp claw suddenly grew from the figure's palm, and without hesitation, it pierced through the skin of the two.
Then, with a brutal force, the figure threw Flora and Conning harshly to the ground.
Soon after, the mysterious figure let out a chilling screech, the sound reverberating through the air, causing everyone in the Daister family residence to turn their eyes toward the storeroom.
However, most of the family members, under the orders of the family head, had already distanced themselves from the area.
Now, upon noticing something unusual, no one dared to approach the storeroom.
But alongside the screech, Conning and Flora began to emit agonizing, heart-wrenching screams, as if they were enduring unimaginable, excruciating pain.
Their bodies began to undergo gradual changes. Muscles bulged grotesquely beneath their skin, their eyes turned completely white, and their flesh began to rot. A thick mist of blood constantly seeped from their bodies, making them appear like horrific corpses.
But strangely, these "corpses" were not only still moving, they seemed to retain some level of consciousness.
"It hurts! It hurts! Kill me, kill me! No, I don't want to die! No, why is this happening? I... I just want to die!"
The two continued to scream in agony.
Reina, bravely standing guard in front of the storeroom, was also somewhat shaken.
The sight of these two, now resembling the terrifying zombies Sivis had once told her about in his childhood stories, was enough to send chills down anyone's spine.
But after the initial fear passed, Reina felt a slight sense of relief.
Conning and Flora, in their current state, were in a fate far worse than death!
"Even if they were killed by young master, they wouldn't suffer like this."
"Now… you've brought this upon yourselves!"
Reina thought to herself. These two, who had coveted her young master's resources, now had a fitting end, one they fully deserved!
Though she harbored this thought, Reina's kind heart could not help but feel a twinge of sympathy at seeing their pain.
However, that sympathy quickly faded.
After the initial pain, Conning and Flora's faces twisted into expressions of pure hatred. They first looked off into the distance, then turned their eyes toward Reina.
The mysterious figure gave a slight smile and asked, "You know your task, don't you?"
Now completely devoid of human form, Conning and Flora nodded quickly, their voices hoarse as they rasped, "We understand, we know! We will capture Sivis, force him to hand over what you want, and then make him feel the same pain we've endured. We will never spare him; we'll make him suffer even more than we did!"
Their voices were incredibly dry, sounding like wood scraping together, and the sound was almost unbearable to listen to.
The mysterious figure couldn't help but be moved. "You two really hate this person named Sivis, don't you? Even after turning into zombies and losing part of your minds, you still hold such intense hatred."
"Very well, keep at it."
"However, with just the two of you, Bronze-tier blood servants, I doubt you'll be able to handle him. But I have a good idea." The figure smiled, casting a glance around before his eyes landed on Reina. "This maid has an alchemical bomb for self-detonation, and you won't be able to handle her."
"But you can turn all the people in your family into blood servants, have them join you in dealing with Sivis. Otherwise, with just the two of you, you'll never be able to handle him," the mysterious figure said with a malicious grin.
What he enjoyed most was transforming living beings into his servants, step by step, coaxing them to break their moral boundaries. He would lead them to turn on their family, their loved ones, their friends—ultimately plunging them into hell through both physical and mental torment!
He had been rather displeased with Conning and Flora's earlier behavior, so tormenting them had become a bit of a pastime.
What the mysterious figure hadn't anticipated was that, upon hearing his words, the two zombies immediately began to shout in excitement. "Haha! Yes, let them experience the same pain we've endured! These bastards deserve to die!"
"Why didn't they support us in taking Sivis' wealth? If they had supported us earlier, we could have made that talentless Sivis keep making money for the family and for us! How wonderful that would've been!"
"These bastards have harmed my interests!"
"That old man Dailon! He even said that if we took Sivis' assets, he'd want half of it too. Kill him! Kill him!"
"Thank you, my lord, for granting us this power. We'll make everyone suffer like we have!"
"Can we turn every living being we see into a blood servant? Not just the people in our family..."
In the midst of their intense pain, Conning and Flora's hatred and malice exploded with terrifying intensity.
The mysterious figure's scalp tingled!
Their behavior was so extreme. Even as a member of the bloodline of the Evil God, who had seen many cruel and mad individuals, he had never witnessed anything quite like this.
To see two people in the same family lose all mental restraint and completely snap after becoming zombies... It was his first time encountering such a thing.
And not just one, but two of them in the same family!
"Could there be something wrong with this family's bloodline?" the mysterious figure thought to himself, though he couldn't help but suppress the curiosity. "But when I converted them into blood servants, I didn't sense any unusual energy fluctuations."
"Even if there is some special bloodline, it's unlikely to be one that belongs to the bloodline I serve, so I shouldn't look too deeply into it."
After setting everything in motion, the mysterious figure disappeared with a flash.
After a few quick movements, he arrived at an extremely dark place.
