Chapter 27 - Two Heads At Once And Quick Level Up

'It's going to be a tough nut to crack.'

Noa recognized the challenge and embraced it with open arms.

[ Death Dog Lv. ??? ]

[ Grade: Evolved Challenger ]

It was a tall, two-headed desert-dwelling animal infected with a deadly disease.

Fighting against it was hard because they might spread their rabies, and with no precautions, it would soon reap a life.

The trick was to kill it without getting a single wound from them.

With his hands already moving, Noa aimed for the head.

Not one, but both of them.

Yet the tough flesh remained almost uncut, leaving only a shallow slash.

It was enough for Noa to detonate the inflicted mana, increasing his damage by a whopping 30%.

After the first strike was done, he also exhausted one corpse.

Using it was fairly straightforward.

He just dropped the corpse before the dog, and he jumped out of the way, waiting for the explosion to create the havoc.

The sand transformed into a cloud of dust, which covered the land and hid the outcome.

The flesh was also thrown around, with blood splattered across the ground.

Noa didn't waste time.

Jumping right back in, he swung his sword once again, searching for the injured animal.

His sword found the target, cleaving flesh much easier than the last time.

Soon, the dust settled.

The situation went back to normal with visibility restored, but the opponent Noa was facing didn't move.

It was barely clinging to life, blood spilling from various places.

Meanwhile, Noa watched his success with a dancing smile.

The explosion was devastating for the dog, and adding the wounds he inflicted with a sword, it was at death's door.

Noa wanted to test something else and exhausted one more corpse.

This time, instead of using it as a bomb, he devoured its life force, creating necrotic forces around his sword.

At most, it would last for two seconds.

But he swiftly used the timing and beheaded the monster.

One head still hung on, but the blood loss would send it to the afterlife at any moment.

As for the result of his death-imbued property, it was his second time seeing its future potential but current ineffectiveness.

'I am not utilizing it properly. It has almost no effect on damage, and one corpse is a steep price.'

Nevertheless, he waited for the abomination to succumb to the pain.

Noa leveled up three times, netting him a good sum of attributes.

To reach level 6, he needed 1,300 EXP points but was short by 788 EXP points.

He quickly collected the unrecognizable corpse, took the Spirit Orb, and continued his journey at a steady pace.

Doom's Sacrifice: 5/5

As always, his mood was great.

Traveling through the scorching desert on hot sand, with nothing but an occasional cool breeze, was exhausting and boring even.

None of that affected his spirit.

Awakened Extra with Plundering System had over 150 hours of gameplay.

Though the story was unchangeable, and players had to follow an already decided path, it still allowed some unique NPC interactions and quests that weren't part of the main storyline.

However, most of the time was spent exploring the open world of the Abysses.

Even though that wasn't enough to fully study the vastness of this place, and most of the places were beyond the map, the game still prohibited visiting some parts.

'Is it the same here? Can I reach unknown places?'

The more he saw about Velrox, the more intrigued Noa became.

Realizing that divine powers stood before the world, the novel, and the game, he also recognized how important Doom God might actually be.

As Noa was pondering about his transmigration, he encountered another monster.

It was no longer alone.

The groups of dry humanoids circled him, intercepting his path of retreat.

Not that he was planning to run away.

Inspect was activated unconsciously and worked because the level difference was lower than ten.

The First Abyss was split into different sections.

It hosted humans from all over the world and had no problem with its capacity due to its almost infinite expanse.

Reaching the Returne grade after level 20 was fairly easy.

All the Ember had to do was survive.

But from the Second Abyss onward, everything would change because once inside, no one could leave unless they cleared special conditions or found the gates, which were much more dispersed…

It was hell compared to what he had to deal with right now.

Surrounded by many, Noa's heart beat in excitement.

The battle cry escaped his lips as he scurried to gain an upper hand.

His opponents came from the depths of the sand, leaving him no choice but to fight in close quarters, with no exploding corpse or bow he had yet to try.

So he fought just like Klaus would have done it.

Mobilizing superior vitality in his muscles, Noa increased his speed and strength.

The Mummies had no weapons, as their somewhat human-like hands allowed them to use sand as an element they could control.

Starting with six opponents, Noa's situation changed when they summoned Golems.

'I am in a dipshit. If I lose concentration, I might be in deep sand.'

Thankfully, his ability to explode enemies on impact came in clutch, quickly giving him an advantage.

So, with untouched maneuvers between the hoards of monsters he had to slay, Noa sprinted like a true warrior and reaped life one after another.

Of course, he aimed at summoners, but after killing Mummies, the Golems still prevailed.

Regardless, Noa had to fight.

Slaying monsters all around him, he collected their will, which was an unseen phenomenon, but he knew the artifact would appreciate his killing spree.

Just as he murdered the last Golem, he saw the glowing light.

It indicated that he would get the loot out of the monster, but something unexpected happened.

Noa was assaulted by a piercing headache, weakening his senses, but he still managed to glance at the system to see the panel he had summoned.
