Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Path to Weapon Mastery

The morning sun barely crested over the horizon when training resumed. The air was thick with tension as Zhao Tian led him to the inner courtyard of the Zhao Clan, a sacred training ground where only the strongest warriors honed their skills.

Zhao Tian stood with arms crossed, his sharp eyes fixated on his grandson. "You've begun to understand the basics of movement and power. But raw strength and speed are useless without control. Today, you will begin your path to weapon mastery."

A dozen weapons lay before him—swords, spears, daggers, bows, axes, and more. Swordsmen spent their entire lives mastering one blade, yet Zhao Tian expected him to learn them all.

"Which one should I start with?" he asked, excitement gleaming in his eyes.

"All of them." Zhao Tian smirked. "A true warrior can turn anything into a weapon."

⚔️ The Dance of the Sword

Zhao Tian tossed him a training sword. "This is the foundation. If you cannot master the blade, forget the others."

He gripped the hilt, feeling its weight. The first lesson was simple—swing, step, strike. Yet as soon as he moved, Zhao Tian was upon him.

CLANG!

A single strike from Zhao Tian's wooden sword sent him skidding backward. "Too slow. Again."

Again and again, he attacked, but each time Zhao Tian countered effortlessly. Hours passed, and his arms ached, but he refused to stop.

Then something clicked.

He stopped thinking and let his body move instinctively. His feet adjusted, his grip shifted—suddenly, his attacks flowed like water.

Zhao Tian's smirk widened. "Now you're getting it."

🔱 The Power of the Spear

Next was the spear. Unlike the sword, it required reach and precision. Zhao Tian demonstrated a thrust that shattered a boulder.

"A spear is not about brute strength. It's about control. Strike where the enemy cannot defend."

He imitated the movements, but the spear felt foreign in his hands. Unlike the sword, which demanded fluidity, the spear required pinpoint accuracy. For hours, he practiced, his strikes becoming sharper, faster.

By nightfall, he could pierce a tree from ten feet away.

🗡️ Daggers: The Assassin's Choice

The next day, he trained with daggers—light, fast, deadly. Zhao Tian attacked without warning, forcing him to dodge and counterattack in the blink of an eye.

"Speed is everything. If you cannot kill in one strike, you die."

The Phantom Step technique combined perfectly with the daggers, making him almost untouchable. He darted between attacks, his blades moving faster than the eye could track.

By the end of the session, Zhao Tian nodded approvingly. "You're adapting faster than I expected."

🏹 Mastering the Bow

The bow was different from the others. It required patience. Precision. One shot, one kill.

Zhao Tian placed a feather on a log and stepped back fifty meters. "Hit it."

He took a deep breath, nocked an arrow, and fired. It missed.

"Again."

For hours, he loosed arrows, missing every time. But he remembered Zhao Tian's words—control. He slowed his breathing, felt the tension in the bowstring, visualized the shot.

Twang!

The arrow sliced through the air, splitting the feather in half.

🔥 A Glimpse of His True Potential

Days passed, and he trained with every weapon, each one becoming an extension of his body. But there was something strange—no matter which weapon he picked up, it felt... natural.

Zhao Tian noticed it too. "This isn't normal. Most warriors struggle for years to master a single weapon, yet you…"

A thought crossed his mind. Could this be connected to his unique body?

He dismissed the thought. For now, he had training to complete.

⚔️ The Final Test: Facing Zhao Tian

After weeks of relentless training, Zhao Tian stood before him, armed with a sword. "You've learned much, but now comes the true test."

The fight was unlike any before. His speed, power, and reflexes had grown, and for the first time, he forced Zhao Tian to step back.

A surge of pride filled his chest. He was no longer just training. He was fighting.

Zhao Tian finally lowered his sword. "You have the makings of a true warrior. But remember—this is only the beginning."

As he stood, exhausted but victorious, he couldn't help but smile. He was getting stronger. And soon, the world would know his name
