Chapter 31 - Chapter 1: A New Leader, A New Threat

Revenge of dark immortals ARC

A Recap of the Journey So Far

A divine battle spanning centuries had finally come to an end.

L, the True God Reborn, led the Immortals through a war that had lasted 600 years.

Team Ultra was erased. Necrosma, Hyperior, and their army were defeated.

Gray and the Immortals had grown stronger, achieving god-like forms.

Side adventures had taken them to Crycelia, where they defeated the Ice Queen and the Demon King.

Now, five years later, peace had finally settled in.

But peace never lasts forever.

A new darkness was rising…

The Gathering at L's Tower – A New Plan for the Immortals

At the top of the tallest tower on Earth—L's home— the Immortals gathered.

Sitting at the large round table, Grandmaster Oak stood up, looking at everyone.

Oak: "We have won many battles. We have saved countless worlds. But this peace will not last forever. We need to prepare for the future."

Everyone listened carefully.

Oak: "That's why… I am forming the next evolution of our group. A new Immortal force. A team that will protect not just Earth, but the entire Omniverse."

Everyone's eyes widened.

Lisa: "A new team?"

Gray: "What do you mean?"

Oak smirked.

Oak: "I present to you… Team Lightning. An elite force of the strongest Immortals, ready to face any threat that may come."

The room filled with excitement.

Bolt: "That's an amazing idea!"

Brock: "We can finally train as an official force!"

Misty: "I'm in!"

Oak nodded.

Oak: "And for this team, we need a leader… and there's only one choice."

Everyone turned to L.

Oak: "L, will you become the leader of Team Lightning?"

Silence filled the room.

L simply smiled and leaned back in his chair.

He took a bit of an apple, then said:

L: "No."

Everyone was shocked.

Gray: "Wait… what?"

Lisa: "L, why?"

L chuckled.

L: "Being a leader sounds boring. I'd rather just enjoy life and step in when I feel like it."

The Immortals were speechless.

Oak sighed, rubbing his forehead.

Oak: "Then… what do you want?"

L smirked.

L: "Make me Vice Leader. That way, I can still help… but without the responsibility."

Everyone looked at each other… then laughed.

Gray: "Classic L."

Lisa: "Fine, fine. Then who will be leader?"

Oak smiled.

Oak: "Gray."

Gray stood up proudly.

Gray: "I accept."

The Immortals cheered.

L: "Good. Now that's settled, let's get to training."

A Dark Presence Awakens – The Return of an Immortal

Far away, deep in dark space, a shadowed figure stood before a giant throne.

His body was covered in dark aura, red lightning sparking from his fists.

His name was…

Clore.

A secret Immortal, hidden from the world.

And behind him, sitting on the throne, was his father… Giovanni.

The last remnants of the old world.

Giovanni: "Necrosma is dead. Team Ultra has fallen."

Clore gritted his teeth.

Clore: "And the ones responsible… are the Immortals."

His eyes glowed red with rage.

Clore: "I will make them pay."

Giovanni smiled.

Giovanni: "Then go, my son. Show them the power of the dark."

Clore clenched his fists, his dark aura expanding.

With one step, he vanished into the void—heading toward Earth.

L Knows… and He Smiles

Back at L's tower, as the Immortals prepared to train, L suddenly looked up at the sky.

He could feel it.

A new presence.

A familiar power.

But instead of being worried…

He smiled.

L (to himself): "So… he's finally coming."

The next great battle was about to begin.

But what no one knew…

Was that Clore was destined to become their greatest friend.

For now, though…

He was coming for revenge.
