Jun's eyes locked onto the movement. His Sharingan flared brighter. Secretly, he wanted to be like Kakashi and just copy the jutsu, but he definitely wasn't skilled enough with just his current skill set alone. Right now… he's just leveraging the System too.
After Kentaro and Aya were incapacitated, it wasn't long until the third Rain ninja finished his hand seals.
"Water Style: Water Senbon!"
It was now that the two Rain Ninja retreated back to their teammate and began weaving hand seals of their own.
Their team coordination was extremely smooth, allowing one attack to chain with another.
From the mist, sharp needles formed—hundreds of them, condensing from the moisture in the air with a high-pitched whistle. The first volley fired before Aya could fully recover.
"N-no!!! Kentaro, hel–!!" Aya screamed in horror as she raised her arms too slow.
Tch-tch-tch-tch—!
Thin jets of blood spattered the mist as the senbon pierced her legs and shoulders, sewing pain into her limbs with terrifying precision. One struck just beneath her collarbone. Another grazed her cheek. She shrieked, staggering back.
What horrified her wasn't those minor senbon needles, though. It was the fact that one of the senbons embedded itself into her right eye! It struck her right eye with a wet, sucking pop. Eye juice was already flowing out.
There was no time to register it—only a burst of white-hot pain and the sudden, horrifying blackout of half her vision.
"ARAHHHHHH!!" Aya cried out in pain and horror, realizing that her future was going to be harsh.
After having deep wounds inflicted on her and one of her eyes being poked by a water Senbon, Aya became unconscious.
From the left, Kentaro tried to reappear, staggering from the underbrush with his kunai drawn, breath ragged, and ribs likely broken. His movements were uneven and sluggish.
Another volley of senbon came in from the flank.
"Damn it!" he hissed, gritting his teeth. He took out the sword that he carried and deflected as many senbons as he could, especially the ones aiming at his vitals.
Jun, still crouched in his moss-covered perch, watched without a flicker of emotion.
The barrage of water senbons didn't stop.
Aya was curled on the ground, arms stretched over her, and blood leaking from a dozen shallow wounds as well as her eye.
Kentaro was bruised, bloodied, and limping—but he moved. He slashed a set of senbon out of the air with his the sword, staggered into a donkey roll to avoid a second volley, and with a growl, vanished into the fog using a flicker of chakra.
"JUN!" he roared suddenly. "I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING, YOU COWARD!"
His voice cut through the mist like a blade.
"You think you're gonna let us die and just coast through? I swear to the Hokage—if I'm going down, I'm dragging your smug ass with me!"
He hurled a kunai toward the treeline Jun had supposedly disappeared into earlier.
All three Rain ninja snapped to attention.
Trained, the one on the left, a wiry shinobi with narrow eyes and face paint, vanished in a blur, reappearing near the kunai's landing point. His tanto was already drawn.
Their attack pattern was still the same. It was first to try and incapacitate the enemy through close combat before taking turns and volleying them to death.
The second, shorter but broader with a thick scar running across his brow, raised his arms to begin another barrage of senbon. The third, the handseal girl with long black hair tied back and a respirator mask over her mouth, began channeling more mist so that they can continue using water techniques.
Sling!
The tanto slashed down on the branch to clear it out… but there was nothing.
Jun wasn't even there.
He was already repositioned high in the canopy, crouched behind the thick trunk of a crooked tree, both eyes locked on the battlefield.
Immediately, he took action. It was now that he needed to ambush the ambushers who tried to ambush an ambush from ambushers from whom they baited.
In an instant, puffs of smoke appeared around him. He didn't even use hand seals. Just a quiet flicker in his mind.
[ Shadow Clone Technique activated. Chakra Points: 4/5 (Note: Chakra has been split into four parts.) ]
One-quarter of his chakra stayed with him. The rest funneled smoothly into the three clones that are now jumping down towards the rain ninjas below.
"HECK YEAHHH!!"
"LET'S FUCKING GOOO!!" Each clone yelled as their eyes gleamed red—Sharingan spinning, reading every movement in the chaos. Each of the three rain ninjas were heavily scrutinized by the Sharingans's predictive abilities.
After looking at the UI panel, Jun knew he didn't have that much time left to deal with the Rain Ninjas. The shadow clones had already split his chakra into 4ths, and the Sharingans in each of the Shadow clones are draining 1 Chakra Point per minute!
Thankfully, he wouldn't need all of that time to complete this battle!
One of the shadow clones immediately took out a kunai and began having a close combat battle with the Rain ninja who had come towards his supposed location.
The other two shadow clones – hand in hand – went towards the male female duo who were working together to machinegun out water senbons.
The senbons that came were relentless and numerous, shooting out nonstop.
Any normal genin like Aya and Kentaro would be caught in a bad spot but not Jun's Sharingan activated Shadow Clones!
Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
They easily dodged and deflected any and all senbons that were hurled towards them.
What's more… The two Rain ninjas who were trying to complete hand seals didn't have a good time either!
The real Jun, still perched up in the tree, brought out shurikens and kunais with the biggest perverted smile and began throwing it at them, harassing and controlling their movements like a puppeteer. With the two tomoe Sharingans against these genins, he felt like it was a walk in the park.
"DANCE, MY MARIONETTES, DANCE!!!" Jun gleefully said as shadow clones surrounded the rain ninjas. Combined with his constant harassing of shurikens and kunais, he controlled where they moved.
Soon, the three rain ninjas were back to back, surrounded by the three shadow clones from all sides and Jun watching like an puppeteer from above.
"... We give up." The girl rain ninja looked up and raised her hand.
The two men looked at one another and also raised their hands, one of them taking out a heaven scroll.
"I see." Jun looked down in disdain from above. Even if it was the Earth scroll, he didn't care. He didn't want the scrolls.
However, he didn't show it.
"Go get the heaven scroll from them," Jun commanded his shadow clones, and all of them nodded.
The rain ninjas sighed in relief because it seems like their surrender is going to be accepted. However, they still kept their vigilance up. After all, it's better to be safe than sorry.
When they looked at the three clones coming in with their jet red eyes, however, all three of them couldn't help but shiver. They had good information on them that there's an Uchiha in the Chunin exams, but they didn't think they would run into him… and who knew Uchihas were this scary with their visual dojutsu.
"Give it," one of the clones reached out towards the man who had the heaven scroll.
The other two clones were also face to face with each of their respective rain ninjas, surrounding them in a triangular fashion.
"H-here…" The rain ninja's voice quivered as he handed it over.
But… it didn't go as they expected. Instead of grabbing the scroll, the shadow clone grabbed the man's wrist.
"What's the meaning of this…!?" The man asked the shadow clone, assuming that it's connected to the real Jun.
"I just wanted to show art to all three of you," The shadow clones smiled in unison and cackled like lunatics as they each grabbed onto the rain ninjas.
The paper bombs in their possessions went off all at once.
"NOO!!" The girl rain ninja yelled, dropping the rebreather from her mouth.
BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!
"Ahahahahaha!" Jun laughed in triumph as he swung around the tree branch, his feet still connected to the trunk of the tree as he hung upside down.
"You see… I once heard that art… is AN EXPLOSION!!" Jun smiled with crescent eyes, enjoying the aftermath of his Kamikaze Shadow Clones.
And what's more….
