Chapter 4 - Grace in the Abyss

The red color filled the ground, the smell of blood that resembled rusted iron was more fragrant than any perfume, and the colors of the different clothes like a peacock mixed fantastically with the red color of blood, and the reflection of the dagger was very clear like a mirror that knows better than others, perhaps only sharp things, know how to live.

Ruo Yu carried the tray of drinks and headed to the room to serve the customers. She stood hesitantly in front of the door until a woman shouted at her. She looked like she was of high status.

She lowered her shout so as not to attract attention and pulled Ruo Yu's hair, enough to hurt her but in order to preserve the drinks. "If I catch you again not doing your job well or hear you complain, I will end your life. Understand?" Then she adjusted Ruo Yu's hair while patting it gently and fixing it, then left as if nothing had happened.

Ruo Yu didn't know how she should feel about what had happened, if she thought about it it would hurt her dignity, so she bit her lip, telling herself to be patient.

Ruo entered the room, there were four handsome men, and silence fell upon her entrance, She glanced at their features, the atmosphere was colder than before, and their looks did not seem to her like other looks, so she felt the silliness of evaluating other people's looks, and evaluating when she had to make important decisions.

Ruo knelt down to put down the tray and offer the drinks, "Do you want anything else gentlemen, I will play for you if you don't mind," she finished her words with a smile, remembering Ling Yi's instructions to her.

The man sitting in front of her on the left looked at her as if he was analyzing her, her hands, her hair -- her eyes. Then he looked back at his cup.

One of the men sitting to her right let out a sarcastic and amused laugh, "Are you new here?" Ruo was hesitant, whether to raise her head to answer or not, as she had not asked Ling Yi about this, so she took the risk and raised her head and replied, "Yes, sir, I came… yesterday."

This man had a playful expression, he looked like someone Ruo Yu would detest, because he looked happy and relaxed.

The four looked at each other, the man continued, "So what are you good at? Can you dance for us, my beauty?" Ruo Yu was still looking at him, her hands tightening on the tray, although her facial features did not shake from the wind.

She smiled, though for a moment her mouth trembled. The man sitting on her left was dressed entirely in black, and his features were dim. He spoke silently, "I don't have the mood to watch the dance, just leave."

Ruo nodded and stood up, bowed slightly and left gracefully.

She stood outside, distracted, and looked at the door. For the first time in a long time, she was accidentally saved. She knew that the man must not have even meant what he did, so there was no need to call it a debt, but definitely, compared to the others in this place, she would give him a chance.

Ling Yi came, and they walked together, Ruo Yu turned again, looking towards the door.

The other man spoke up trying to stop her but he was too late, "Xue Yan, what the hell are you doing. You're really spoiling the atmosphere."

The man next to Xue Yan spoke, "Lu Yi just shut up. We didn't gather here to watch the dancers."

Lu Yi sighed, "Fang Zihan, you're too boring too. Isn't that right, Jiang Yu?"

Jiang Yu laughed and remained silent.

"That's right…" Lu Yi spoke, "Why do we always meet at Liu Mo? There are wonderful places in the empire."

"I don't wonder why, I wonder why you're really here with us…" Xue Yan said coldly as he took a sip of wine.

Jiang Yu laughed, Lu Yi replied angrily, "Can't you just answer me for once?"

"That's because everything in this city is allowed." Fang Zihan said coldly.

They were interrupted by a musical sound, Lu Yi got excited, "Come on let's go and watch."

Fang Zihan sighed as Jiang Yu smiled and followed Lu Yi.

Xue Yan's gaze was blank and uninterested, Lu Yi said in an excited voice, "Isn't that the girl from a while ago? She ran away quickly when I told her to dance for us but now she's on stage." Xue Yan looked and then walked out as well.

(Before the music completely shattered the moment, about half an hour ago)

Ling Yi introduced Ruo Yu to the dancer, Ruo Yu was impressed by. Ling Yi spoke to the dancer, "YuYu, this new girl I told you about, she likes you." She winked. "I'll let you guys get to know each other, I have to get back to work."

YuYu smiled at Ruo, "Did you really like my dancing?" "Yes. You looked like you were out of a drawing of freedom. It was a nice feeling to watch you."

At a glance, it seemed as if Ruo Yu was quickly examining Yu Yu before looking at her face and smiling a fake smile. Yu Yu noticed the awkward situation and suggested to Ruo Yu, "How about you dance with me? My dance will start soon."

Ruo Yu pointed at herself, "Me? No, no. I can't dance."

Yu Yu smiled, "There is no one in the world who does not know how to dance, it is just a melody that we sway to and our sorrows sway with every move." She extended her hands to Ruo Yu, "I think you have things that you want to melt away with the melody."

Ruo Yu looked at Yu Yu's outstretched hand, and her mind seemed to be taken over as she reached out and held onto Yu Yu's hand, as if she thought that hand could really save her.

She wished that some movements could really melt the pain and make it disappear completely, but it all seemed like myths. But it was all myths.

"If you extend your hands for me to dance, then I will dance." Ruo Yu thought, her eyes were like fire.
