Rim City has always been a haven for the supernatural, thus it comes as no surprise when great, new forces manifest themselves there. From being the landing site of some of the first heavenly host to descend to Earth back when it was nothing but a collection of forestry, to being the birthplace of both the vampire and werewolf species. Rim has always been an obvious hotspot.
"Are you sure, my lord? I could go in your stead."
Turning to Lucian, I smile. Four hundred years of service, and his loyalty has never wavered once. Such loyalty cannot be bought, not even with the greatest collection of gold and jewelry, trust me, at one point of my long life, I tried.
"It's okay Lucian," I respond, "I need to investigate the matter personally."
Something is brewing in the city of Rim, something great, something intense. I must be there to see its fruition. Of course Camille will be breathing down my neck the whole time I'm in Rim, but this… power, this force, is unlike anything I've felt before. To the untrained perception, it's nothing more than an awakening of a primordial force. But to one like myself, it's a beacon of something more, something much more… intense, something that might grow to tip the scales of the world in unpredictable ways.
