----------

Despite its flashy name, the move shop in the Celadon City Department Store only sold eight Move Tutor devices:

Dragon Tail (Dragon, Physical) – 20,000 Pokédollars

U-Turn (Bug, Physical) – 20,000 Pokédollars

Iron Tail (Steel, Physical) – 50,000 Pokédollars

Waterfall (Water, Physical) – 30,000 Pokédollars

Tri Attack (Normal, Special) – 30,000 Pokédollars

Bulk Up (Fighting, Status) – 10,000 Pokédollars

Shadow Ball (Ghost, Special) – 30,000 Pokédollars

Hyper Beam (Normal, Special) – 100,000 Pokédollars

Why Red Only Bought Three Moves?

It wasn't because he wasn't interested in the others.

It was because…

He was broke.

"Damn… I still need 150,000 Pokédollars to buy the rest?"

"Pay Day really is a god-tier skill…"

Red sighed inwardly.

Still, he quickly shifted his focus to the three moves he had just purchased.

Each move was carefully chosen based on crew compatibility and battle usefulness:

Hyper Beam

Just like Thunderbolt, it had insanely high versatility. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji could all learn it. No fancy effects—just pure destructive force. Perfect for intimidating enemies, wrecking obstacles, and just being a powerhouse move.

Dragon Tail

Specifically picked for Zoro to further enhance his Dragon-type energy control. A knockback move—perfect for disrupting opponents.

Bulk Up

A Fighting-type status move that Luffy and Zoro could both learn. Effect: Tightens muscles to increase both Attack and Defense. A must-have for long, grueling battles.

"Only ten minutes left for shopping, then I'll call it a day."

"As for new recruits… I'll deal with that tomorrow."

After checking his balance one last time, Red decided to spend his last 10,000 Pokédollars on the fourth floor, purchasing:

A Fire Stone

A Water Stone

With that, his game session for the day officially ended.

Returning to the Real World…

The first thing Red did was step out onto the deck, eager to test his new abilities.

Thanks to his [Badge Collector] Achievement, he had obtained the Rainbow Badge, further boosting his strength.

But this time—

The reward wasn't what he expected.

Originally, Red thought that a Grass-type Gym Badge would grant him:

Higher HP and Increased durability

However—

After testing it, he realized that his boost wasn't health-related.

It was pure endurance.

A universal stamina boost that applied to every aspect of his body.

This meant:

His energy lasted much longer. His abilities could be sustained for extended periods. His recovery rate improved.

For example, before, Red could lift 100 kg for only half an hour—but now, he could sustain it for a full hour without feeling drained.

Of course, he wasn't exactly sure how much his endurance had improved.

All he knew was that he could now create even larger waves of water to propel the Going Merry forward—without worrying about exhausting his energy.

At the same time, he could fly higher and farther, making him the ultimate lookout in the sky.

"Crap… am I becoming a full-time support character!?"

The corner of Red's mouth twitched.

This should have been a moment of celebration, yet for some reason, all he could feel was an ominous sense of doom.

Something told him that his future sailing adventures would only become… more exhausting.

And more tedious.

With a sigh, Red pushed aside his growing existential crisis and turned his attention to the lottery wheel of the system.

Still the same setup.

Still the same familiar green-colored move pool.

The roulette spun rapidly, then gradually slowed under Red's eager gaze.

A moment later, a notification popped up.

[Congratulations! You have obtained the move – Grassy Terrain!]

A strange sensation flooded Red's mind.

At the same time, he felt another Pokémon attribute awaken within his body.

[Move: Grassy Terrain]

Type: Grass

Category: Status

Power: –

Effect: Creates a grassy battlefield, continuously restoring HP and healing injuries of those standing in it.

Bonus: Grass-type moves gain 30% more power within the field. Ground-based attacks like Earthquake, Bulldoze, and Fissure become less effective.

"..."

"Grassy Terrain?"

Red muttered, confused.

The next second, a surge of energy coursed through his body, pooling at the soles of his feet.

Then—

Lush green grass suddenly sprouted across the deck of the Going Merry, stretching out like a soft, vibrant carpet.

A gentle floral scent filled the air, blending with the salty sea breeze.

Under the moonlight, Red stood at the center of the field, his baseball cap slightly lifted by the wind.

It was a scene of freedom and tranquility—yet, the heavy expression on his face told a different story.

"So…"

"I just got assigned another job!?"

His mouth twitched.

As mentioned before, Badge Achievements provided an all-encompassing stamina boost for Red.

That meant even his Pokémon moves lasted longer.

For example, this Grassy Terrain he had just created…

He could sense that it would stay active for at least 12 hours.

Twelve. Whole. Hours.

And considering its continuous healing effect—

This wasn't just a move.

It was a top-tier training ground.

"Man, why do I suddenly miss straightforward offensive moves like Rock Slide and Surf?"

Red muttered under his breath, even as he couldn't deny how incredibly useful this ability was.

After all, he couldn't rely on the Pokémon Center all the time.

With Grassy Terrain, he wouldn't have to worry about healing in between fights anymore.

At the same time, it meant the Straw Hats could now train without limits—going all out without the usual recovery breaks.

Which sounded great.

Except for one small problem—

He would have to be the one activating it every time.

"Yep. Definitely another job added to my list."

With a defeated sigh, Red glanced up at the night sky.

"Fine. Guess I'll just accept my fate as the crew's walking support unit."

"Not like I enjoy fighting anyway."

"Trainers are basically just tools for Pokémon, right?"

With that thought in mind, Red silently made his way toward the stern of the Merry.

A few days ago, Usopp had helped him construct a small cabin in this very spot—a place for him to train while also speeding up the ship.

For some reason, as he stared at the lush green field covering the deck, a single phrase echoed in his mind:

"I am destined to be… the King of Tools!"
