Chapter 7 - Chapter 91: Do you Really Think You Could Get Away After Laying Your Hands On My Man!?

"Alright, alright, I get it."

Ryoma sighed, exasperated.

"So... Ryoma-kun has forgiven me?"

Tsukiyama Shuu looked genuinely moved, as if he were about to cry.

His exaggerated theatrics made Ryoma even more annoyed.

But credit where it was due—this act would have probably fooled someone like Kaneki. Unfortunately for Tsukiyama, Ryoma wasn't that naive. He knew better.

Before Ryoma could answer, Rize spoke up.

"Tsukiyama-kun, want to guess what this is?"

She casually produced a handkerchief. A faint stain of dried blood clung to the fabric.

Ryoma immediately recognized it. Rize had used that to wipe blood from his wound the last time she fed. This wasn't random. She was baiting Tsukiyama.

Tsukiyama's eyes went wide the moment the scent hit him. His body stiffened, nostrils flaring, completely entranced.

That scent—Ryoma's scent, was utterly intoxicating. The aroma of flesh and blood, powerful and distinct, overwhelmed his senses.

He reached for the handkerchief instinctively, but Rize pulled it back.

"I asked you to guess. I didn't say I'd give it to you," she said coolly. "So? Can you guess?"

Tsukiyama's expression turned cold. He realized he was being toyed with. But he was too far gone to stop himself.

"…Is it Ryoma-kun's blood?" he asked, forcing a strained smile.

At the same time, his mind raced. Ryoma was a ghoul investigator. Why would he be walking around with Kamishiro Rize, a known ghoul? Was Ryoma unaware of her identity? Or was Rize unaware of his?

No. That couldn't be it.

He couldn't have known that both Ryoma and Rize were fully aware of each other's nature—and that they were living together.

"You're right," Rize said with a grin. "Do you want it, Tsukiyama-kun? If you really want it, you'll have to beg me properly. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll consider it."

"I want it. Of course I want it."

Tsukiyama didn't hesitate. He'd humiliate himself if he had to.

"Then come with me," Rize said, turning away. "Too many people are here. Let's go somewhere private. No need to embarrass yourself in public."

Tsukiyama followed her, blinded by his obsession. He wasn't too cautious—his own power gave him confidence. Whatever Rize planned, he believed he could handle it.

Ryoma watched them leave, having already guessed what Rize had in mind. He didn't follow. Instead, he sat down and ordered two coffees.

When Touka came to collect the menu, she glanced at him.

"Before you showed up, Tsukiyama was talking to your friend. The one with the book. Trying to get close."

Ryoma nodded. "Thanks, Kirishima-san."

She didn't name Kaneki, but Ryoma knew exactly who she meant. And he knew exactly what Tsukiyama was planning. If things went bad, Kaneki would be his leverage.

Tsukiyama probably wouldn't harm him—but Ryoma wasn't about to take chances.

"No need to thank me," Touka replied flatly. "Still owe you for before."

She turned and walked off.

...

Meanwhile, in a quiet alley behind the café, Rize came to a stop.

Tsukiyama followed.

"Well then, Tsukiyama-kun," Rize said, turning slowly. "Show me your sincerity."

Without missing a beat, Tsukiyama bowed low. His waist nearly bent to ninety degrees.

"Miss Kamishiro. Is this sincere enough?"

Rize didn't speak. She stepped forward and held out the handkerchief.

Tsukiyama reached for it.

Just as his fingers brushed the fabric, Rize's waist flared—four crimson kagune burst out.

One pierced his outstretched hand.

Blinded by greed, Tsukiyama's guard had dropped. He hadn't expected such speed or aggression.

But Rize was no ordinary ghoul.

Despite not being shown much in the anime, her strength was never in doubt.

Kaneki toyed with Yakumo Oomori with ease.

And that sudden rise in his powess after just gaining her kagune proved the power behind it.

She was classified S+ from the start, later designated SS after becoming a donor for Kanou's experiments.

And most importantly, she was Washuu blood. Pureblood. Every Washuu ghoul manifested kagune naturally, and she was one of the strongest among them.

"You…"

Tsukiyama reacted quickly, releasing his kagune— a sword-like structure extending from his shoulder blades and swung at her.

She was already gone.

Three of her kagune struck like bolts of crimson lightning, pinning him against the alley wall. The fourth stayed embedded in his pierced hand, preventing him from moving.

Her fingers wrapped around his throat.

The look on her face twisted into something monstrous. Her kagune eyes burned. Her smile stretched wide—unnaturally wide.

A horror straight out of urban legend.

"Tsukiyama-kun," Rize whispered, tightening her grip, "did you really think you could lay hands on my man."
