CHAPTER 39
Her lips parted, brow tightening. But she only recognized him as her emperor. That was what her mind was telling her. She didn't know anything else, and she doesn't care. She had enough confusion in details for herself alone. And she wanted to be spared for the others' perspectives. She raised her head with a newfound courage. She didn't want to be more lost than she already was. She decided that she had to stick to what she believed and what was left to her knowledge upon waking up from a total reset in her brain.
"That is what the others see you as. But I prefer to trust what is left in me. I will not listen to what others wanted me to believe or to understand. For me, you're still my emperor. Though you would say otherwise." Her heart was pounding for the words she'd said. She would stand it through.
