The drug dealer leader tried to struggle, but Helioptile acted swiftly, unleashing another Thunder Wave at him.
"Ah~"
He cried out in pain and collapsed limply to the ground, unable to move — only able to glare at Cole with hateful eyes.
"Helioptile, go notify Daisy to bring the teachers over. I'll contact Officer Jenny for the arrest!" Cole commanded.
"Ah-bi~"
Helioptile nodded and vanished instantly.
The battle on Officer Jenny's side had mostly concluded, so after receiving Cole's call, she quickly arrived with her team.
"Thanks to you — these criminals would have escaped otherwise!" She said earnestly, looking at the captured drug dealers.
"By the way, Officer Jenny, what about that masked man?" Cole asked, suddenly remembering.
Her face darkened with anger, "That damn guy got away. If he hadn't spooked them, we wouldn't have had to respond so urgently. We nearly let their leader escape!"
Sensing her deep-seated grudge against the masked man, Cole wisely kept quiet.
"Also, you and your teacher will need to come to the police station to make statements. It shouldn't take too long." Officer Jenny added.
"Of course we'll cooperate fully — it's our duty." He replied earnestly.
She patted his shoulder, "Good, you're a promising young man."

Cole, Omura, and his friend were then taken to Lumiose Police Station.
The statement process was straightforward — the police asked Cole about his presence in the valley and his encounter at the base, which he detailed completely. The teachers described their experiences during captivity.
Afterward, the police drove Cole and the others back to the hotel, while Omura's friend was safely escorted home.
Purrloin remained temporarily in Officer Jenny's care, as they still needed its assistance with certain matters.
When parting with Cole, Purrloin showed clear reluctance. This wasn't from deep emotional attachment, but rather its discomfort with strangers had led to an unconscious bond with the boy.
At the station, Omura had learned how Cole ended up at the drug dealers' base. Upon returning to the hotel, he cautioned Cole against taking unnecessary risks before retiring to his room.
The ordeal had left Omura exhausted, both mentally and physically. The moment he reached his room, he fell into a deep sleep.
Cole was also quite tired from running around all night, so he took a short nap in his room.

When he came out after resting, a hotel staff member approached him.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Cole from room 1327? There's a package for you."
"For me?" Cole asked, pointing to himself.
"Are you Mr. Cole from room 1327?" The staff member repeated.
"Yes, that's me."
"Then this package is definitely for you." The staff member said with a smile, handing it over.
Cole examined the package and saw the sender's name: Lysandre. Curious, he opened it to find two books inside.
One was yellowed with age — clearly an antique — while the other was brand new. After briefly examining them, he understood what they were.
Lysandre had sent him a precious Meditation Method book.
The yellowed one was an original, rare copy from long ago, written in the ancient text of the Pokémon world. Cole could only grasp bits and pieces of its meaning.
The new one was Lysandre's translated version — he had thoughtfully had it translated into modern language, anticipating Cole might not understand the ancient text.
This was too precious!
Cole immediately called Lysandre. The call connected quickly, and that familiar deep voice came through.
[How is it? Did you receive the items?]
"I did, but it's too precious — I can't accept it." Cole replied.
[It's just a Meditation Method book. My ancestors collected it by chance, but our family has no Psychic genes and has never produced a Psychic. In my hands, it's just an ordinary collectible. Now that my friend has become a Psychic, what's wrong with giving it as a gift?]
Lysandre was being far too dismissive.
"But..."
Cole wanted to say something, but Lysandre quickly interrupted.
[Come on, no buts. When you gave me the Water Stone, I accepted it, didn't I? In my view, this meditation book isn't worth nearly as much as that Water Stone!
The Meditation Method is only valuable because a few people monopolize it. For those who don't need it, like myself, it's worthless. But your Water Stone? That's different — its beauty would move anyone who sees it.]
"All right, I can't argue with you. I'll accept this meditation book graciously." Cole said helplessly.
[That's better! I'd think you didn't consider me a friend otherwise!]
Lysandre laughed heartily.
[If you still feel bad about it, just send me some Grade A berries when you can grow them.]
Though Lysandre said this, Cole knew his friend wouldn't lack Grade A berries. He could only treasure this gift of books silently in his heart.
After chatting a while longer, Cole hung up and returned to his room to study the Meditation Method carefully.
The translated version was easy to understand, and its contents were concise. After grasping its meaning, he sat cross-legged on the bed, placed his hands on his chest, closed his eyes, and began to practice.
As time passed, a faint blue light — his materialized Psychic Power — began to appear around his body.
Supported by this Psychic Power, Cole gradually levitated into mid-air.
"Ah-bi~ Ah-bi~"
Seeing this amazing sight, Helioptile pointed and called out excitedly.
Brionne saw this and gave it a slap.
"Brionne~" — Quiet, don't disturb Cole's meditation, or I'll smack you!
Helioptile: (ಥ‿ಥ)
It immediately covered its mouth and fell silent, eyes wide.
As time passed, Cole gradually emerged from his meditative state. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes, feeling refreshed.
"Ah-bi~ Ah-bi~"
When Helioptile saw him open his eyes, it immediately scurried onto his leg and asked eagerly.
"Ah-bi~" — What does meditation feel like?
Cole didn't know how to describe that mystical feeling, so he could only answer, "It's wonderful!"
Helioptile tilted its head in confusion, so he continued.
"Let me demonstrate my Psychic Powers for you!"
At these words, not only did Helioptile get excited, but Brionne and Daisy also clapped in agreement.
Cole recalled the method of controlling Psychic Power that Caitlin had taught him. Directing his power toward the teacup on the table, his eyes flashed with blue light as the cup slowly floated upward.
That's it?
The three Pokémon exchanged glances — this level of object control wasn't impressive at all. Even Daisy could do this easily.
"Bri~ Bri~" — Is there more? Is there more?
Brionne asked eagerly.
"No more, this is all I can do." Cole shook his head.
Everyone: (๏ᆺ๏υ)
The three Pokémon stared expressionlessly at the pitiful floating teacup.
"What's with those expressions?" Cole's face reddened with effort as he struggled to control the cup, "I just started learning — this is already quite impressive."
Really? I don't believe it.
The three Pokémon's expressions were identical.
"Fine then, let's try the second item!" Cole said, carefully setting the teacup back on the table, "Mom, come help me out."
"Garde~" — Me?
Daisy walked over, puzzled, and at his gesture, gave him her hand.
The moment mother and son's hands joined, their Psychic Powers connected, and she felt an immediate surge of strength.
I could take on ten opponents!
Daisy's spirit soared as the power coursed through her body.
Under the powerful Psychic force, mother and son flew freely through the air. Unlike his earlier levitation, this was true flight.
Previously, Daisy could use Psychic Power to make Cole fly, but couldn't control her own flight. Now, with their merged Psychic Powers, she could carry herself through the air.
How amazing!
Merging Psychic Power with Pokémon was another way for Psychics to utilize their abilities. Cole had unknowingly triggered this fusion during his battle with the masked man. After practicing the Meditation Method, he learned this technique was common among Psychics.
This fusion was the most direct and effective way for Psychics to amplify their Pokémon's power. However, it required perfect synchronization — otherwise, both Psychic and Pokémon could be injured.

For the next two days, Cole dedicated most of his time to practicing the Meditation Method, only taking breaks to exercise his Pokémon.
Meanwhile, Omura frequently ventured out to gather information about the Berry Exhibition. The kidnapping incident hadn't dampened his spirits — he maintained his usual cheerful demeanor.
The day before the Berry Exhibition, Cole received his display berries from Alfred in Lumiose.
To preserve freshness, participants typically sent their exhibition berries to the city either the day before or the morning of the event. Thanks to the Pokémon world's advanced preservation technology and efficient transportation services, immediate delivery was possible.
Though the distance between Lumiose and Coumarine would have allowed for same-day delivery, Cole had asked Alfred to send them early, just to be safe.
When he returned from the berry storage warehouse, he found Officer Jenny waiting in the hotel lobby with Purrloin.
The moment it spotted Cole, the cat leaped from the woman's arms and scaled his shoulder in a flash.
"Meow meow meow~" — What took you so long!
"Looks like this little one is quite attached to you!" Officer Jenny said with a smile as she approached.
Is that so? Cole looked at Purrloin, and the little one quickly turned its head away, refusing to make eye contact with him.
Attached? As if!
"Officer Jenny, is the case closed?" He asked.
"More or less." She nodded, "But according to our investigation, there might be an even bigger fish behind this drug organization."
"Another big fish?" Cole looked surprised.
Officer Jenny continued, "But that's none of your concern anymore, don't worry about it. I came to find you not only to bring you Purrloin, but also to tell you that you've done a great service this time. I'll be recommending you for recognition from above. I'll let you know when the results come in!"
This is good news? Money or something else?
"Alright, I understand."
After delivering the news to him, Officer Jenny left.

The next day, the Berry Exhibition finally began.
Cole and Omura took their exhibition berries to the venue early in the morning and found their display positions according to the number cards provided by the organizers.
