Chapter 4 - THE LOST AURAGMITE

Light-years away ----- 4 weeks ago

On the alien world of Mite, tension hung thick in the grand war chamber, a towering hall of black obsidian laced with shifting streams of blue and red energy. The very walls pulsed as if alive, reflecting the rage that filled the room.

At the chamber's center, seated high upon an imposing throne, was Carlos, Supreme Overlord of the Xenotype Dominion, his deep purple skin is darker than any other Xenotype. His sharp claws dug into his palms, a low growl vibrating in his chest as his reptilian silver eyes burned with fury.

The Auragmite was gone.

The most powerful gem in the universe, the source of their strength, had vanished. It had slipped through their control. A force capable of rewriting reality itself, the Auragmite was the key to their eternal rule, their ultimate weapon. And now, it was lost, scattered somewhere maybe, in the vast chaos of the cosmos.

Two figures, Leah and Goh, the top commanders of the Xenarmies, entered the chamber, leading a group of high-ranking generals. Their movements were sharp and disciplined. Everyone in the room knew what was coming. Carlos's wrath was unmatched.

The Auragmite's disappearance was no accident. It had been the result of an experiment gone horribly wrong, an attempt by Xen scientists to unlock more of its power. But instead, the gem had reacted violently, breaking free from their control and vanishing into the unknown. Now, they stood before their ruler, waiting for the worst that could happen.

Carlos's cold gaze swept over them, his long, armored tail curling behind him as the air around him trembled with unspoken rage. He turned to his council of high-ranking Xenotype officers, each one stiff with fear. The Auragmite wasn't just a source of energy, it was the heart of their empire. Without it, they were vulnerable. And vulnerability was a death sentence in the ever-hungry universe.

"This is an unforgivable failure," Carlos growled, his deep voice vibrating through the chamber. "The Auragmite's power was bound to us! It was destined to serve the Dominion alone! And now… it is lost to the void because of your incompetence." His fingers twitched, and the air around him rippled with energy, the sheer force of his presence causing some of his subordinates to step back in fear.

"Which one of you is responsible for this!?" he roars.

The scientists and generals in the room stood frozen, their eyes wide with dread. They exchanged nervous glances, each person trying to avoid making eye contact with the enraged Supreme Overlord. Carlos's silver reptilian eyes scanned them with a look so intense that it felt as if he could burn through their souls.

A trembling scientist hesitates, then steps forward, struggling to speak, his legs barely holding him upright.

Before he can react, sharp claws extend from his Carlos's fingers, striking in a flash.

A sharp gasp

The claws pierce through his flesh, and in an instant, his body crumbles into red ashes, scattered by the air.

A heavy silence fell over the chamber, everyone was frozen in place, too stunned to move. Some took an involuntary step back, their faces pale, eyes wide with terror.

Murmurs started to spread through the chamber until Vael, one of his most trusted generals, stepped forward with calculated composure and bowed deeply. "Supreme Overlord, we have traced the Auragmite's energy signature. It has not been destroyed, it has bonded with something." His voice was steady but cautious. "That means it should be easy for us to locate."

A tense silence followed. Then, Carlos's expression shifted ever so slightly. His piercing eyes gleamed with renewed purpose.

"Then we will find it." His voice was final, absolute. "We will reclaim what is ours. You have 120 days to locate the Auragmite." He turned away. "Dismissed."

The assembled generals exhaled collectively as they filed out. Though 120 days to find the gem was nearly impossible, they clung to hope, knowing that failure was not an option. If they returned empty-handed, they wouldn't live to see another day. Carlos would make sure of that.

"Whew… That was not as bad as I thought," Goh muttered, his voice laced with relief as he descended the obsidian stairs alongside Leah.

Leah scoffed, crossing her arms. "Yeah? We're lucky we came out alive."

Goh was a brute of a warrior, standing nearly eight feet tall with jagged scales that ran down his back. Though incredibly powerful, having trained relentlessly for 155 years yet he wasn't the sharpest mind in the Dominion. That didn't stop him from being one of the two top commanders of the Xenarmies.

Leah, on the other hand, was different. Smart, with 270 years of battle experience, she was second only to Carlos himself. Ruthless in battle, yet strangely emotional at times. Unlike Goh, she had no close friends, no attachments, she prefers her quiet time alone and was most loyal to the King Carlos' orders. She often bullied Goh, making jokes at his expense, though he never seemed to mind and sometimes, never gets the joke.

Carlos, the overlord, however, was untouchable. He never acknowledged anyone personally. He demanded results, nothing more. The only ones who had his ear were the two ancient mages who sat beside him in the war chamber, elders so old they had witnessed the rise of the Xenotype Dominion itself.

Leah's eyes narrowed as she spoke. "The construction of the warship begins immediately. We'll scour every corner of the universe until the Auragmite is back in our hands."

Goh nodded. "Yeppp! Let's get to work."

Within hours, the Xenotype warship, Zypherius, began construction. It was unlike anything ever built before. A planet-hopping destroyer capable of tearing through dimensions. Fitted with reality-scanning technology, advanced weaponry, and the ability to track energy signatures across the galaxy, it was a true weapon of war.

The mission was clear, to scour the stars, track the Auragmite's energy, and annihilate anything that stood in their way, reclaiming their ultimate power.

But what they did not know, what they could not have predicted was that the Auragmite had taken on a strange vessel

And its new vessel… was a human.
