Another announcement assaulted Rex's screen, his recently upgraded inventory was once again full. Not waiting for Rex's question. X L had already brought up the upgrade interface.

As the interface popped into view, Rex almost coughed up blood.
"20 SILVER COINS !!!!!"
The expense would completely move him out of the top 1% F-Grade rank of wealthiest players he had become, with his single gold coin reward from the overlord newbie package.
As Rex glanced at the prompt, he mentally summoned a bronze coin, as he did so. A metallic coin appeared in his hand; the difference between what he held and his gold coin was like night and day. It could not be any more different. Rex barely fiddled with the "cheap looking metallic trinket" as he unsummoned it and selected the upgrade inventory.
His balance dropped once again.

Feeling faint from all his expenses. He took a glance at his inventory, it was stocked full with diverse weapons: Axes, swords, staffs, shields. . . Seeing the stacks of weapons, Rex could feel his enthusiasm returning, he continued his act of baring the walls.
Based on what he had observed, there was nothing like a weight factor imposed on him by his inventory, but it seemed to consider weight as the crate of cosmic slurp he had picked up earlier, occupied one skill slot, 2 light swords took up an inventory slot, but staffs and axes occupied a full inventory slot each.

"Clap- Clap- Clap"
X L's clap resounded in the cavern, her face carrying an amazed expression.
Rex had completely bared the wall of the cavern.
It had been a daunting task, but the possibilities that his progressively increasing arsenal offered, had been his motivation.
Through out Rex's greedy pilfering, the squatting Neo-Life creature had still not made any movement, it had maintained the same calm monkish, relaxed posture, as if Rex's action had nothing to do with it.
Having completed his own custom task. Rex scanned through his inventory:

Seeing the triple-digit count of weaponry, Rex felt a deep satisfaction within himself. If the average cost of the grade F weapons were 100 bronze coins, which he was pretty optimistic they would not be, he would make enough to recoup the cost of his inventory upgrade and still have up to 10,000 Bronze coins left from selling the weapons in his inventory.
Turning to face his currently unfazed opponent, Rex summoned an inconspicuous two-sided sword he had found doing his looting.

The sword materialized in Rex's hand. Its blade had a green, veiny crack running through its centre, and the sword hilt felt like it was made of wood, Rex was undecided about the material the hilt was made of, as he could feel a penetrative cold sensation travel into his hand from the hilt of the sword, uncharacteristic of the wooden texture of it.
Swoosh!-Swoosh!
A greenish illumination was left in the air, as Rex's eldrim sword cut through the air. His slight warmup for battle.
Of course, in preparation for his debut, he had dabbled a little in sword play, mostly with online videos. He had not really made a lot of progress in it, as it was a very boring practice.
But from his little dabble with Swordplay, he could tell that the Eldrim Sword was of a very high quality. Even though he had only read about sword balance online, the sword he held in his hands felt perfectly balanced. Just holding onto the sword, Rex could feel the primal desire to slice through something,
As if in acknowledgement of his desire, the long squatting Neo-Life creature finally opened its eye once again, sparing a glance at Rex, It moved its staff from its lap were it lay, putting one end of it on the floor, he used it as an anchor as he gracefully pulled himself into standing. The movement, though slow, felt meditative and radiated an intense lethality.
Even though the creature had stood, it did not make any move that bore any immediate hostility towards Rex. It seemed that its stand was all the response it could muster towards Rex for his sword swings.
"You have to be careful Rex" XL's voice resounded as she disintegrated.

X L's final message to Rex bloomed in his POV.
Even though X L had not said much, Rex could feel the emotions contained in her brief phrases.
He could feel the intensity of every single action of his, reinforced. His failure meant a ban from Cosmic Ascendance, He would completely lose access to the most mysterious urban entity. All his dreams of ascending to power through Cosmic Ascendance, would be shattered.
Rex's hand tightened around the mysterious-material of his sword hilt, as he reviewed the three basic sword moves he could recall.

The Neo-Life Creature stood in the middle of the hall, its very posture a taunt to Rex's bravery and courage.
Unlike most of the battles he had experienced since the start of his quest, this battle was not outrightly thrown at him. He was going to be the initiator of the attack.

His cosmic essence popped into view; seeing the fully saturated essence, Rex could feel his resolve strengthened.

Rex shot forward, dashing hastily towards his standing opponent.
Not wanting to waste his CE for nothing, he had not tested out the Augment weapon effect of HARDEN yet. But as he got within melee range. The veiny middle of the Eldrim sword, shone with an ethereal greenish glow, as Rex slashed towards the standing Neo-Life creature, augmenting his sword with HARDEN.
