Lore

Several decamillennia ago, an enigmatic celestial body materialized in the heart of the solar system, its presence an anomaly that defied all known astrophysical principles. It loomed perilously close to the sun, a dark harbinger of mystery that cast an unnatural shadow upon the planets orbiting the star. Scientists, driven by insatiable curiosity, turned their telescopes and satellites toward it, desperate to decipher its nature. Yet, despite the most advanced technologies and relentless observation, the body remained an enigma—a silent sentinel, impervious to scrutiny. Its proximity to the sun rendered direct exploration impossible, shrouding it in an impenetrable veil of cosmic secrecy.

Years passed, and with no tangible discoveries, the pursuit of knowledge yielded to weary resignation. The celestial anomaly was formally designated 'Singularity 4205,' an empty title for an object beyond comprehension. It remained dormant, unyielding to the passage of time, an interstellar monument to the limits of human understanding.

Then, without warning, Singularity 4205 ruptured in a cataclysmic explosion. A surge of energy, vast and unfathomable, cascaded outward, rippling through the solar system like a tsunami of chaos. Its shockwave tore through the planets, disrupting orbits, igniting solar flares, and unleashing an unseen force across the very fabric of space. Yet, the true magnitude of its destruction remained hidden from immediate understanding. The Milky Way itself seemed to tremble beneath the impact.

On Earth, the event was nothing short of apocalyptic. Fire rained from the heavens, storms howled with an unnatural ferocity, and radiation poisoned the skies. Entire cities crumbled beneath the wrath of the cosmos. Oceans boiled, glaciers cracked like fragile glass, and tectonic plates wrenched apart. Humanity, unprepared for such devastation, teetered on the brink of extinction. The catastrophe claimed more than half of the global population, reducing the once-thriving civilization to ashen ruins. The survivors, struggling to make sense of their plight, called this dark chapter 'The Emergence.'

But destruction was not the only gift Singularity 4205 had bestowed upon the universe. Unbeknownst to those who remained, the energy released in its demise was rewriting the very essence of life itself.

The human genome, once bound by the chains of natural evolution, was forcibly altered. Some individuals discovered newfound abilities, powers that defied the laws of physics and biology. The phenomenon was first met with disbelief, then with awe, and finally with fear. These mutations became known as 'bloodlines,' unique inheritances of power that varied wildly in scope and strength. Some individuals wielded dominion over the elements, shaping fire and lightning as if they were mere extensions of their will. Others found their physicality enhanced to superhuman degrees, rendering them forces of nature in their own right. Yet, not all bloodlines bore the gift of might. Some were absurdly trivial—a power to summon harmless bubbles, an ability that made one's scent inexplicably pleasant. The disparity in power sowed the seeds of division.

But humanity had always been defined by its unyielding adaptability. It was not the first time they had faced extinction, and it would not be the last. They rallied, forging new technologies to combat their evolving world. They learned, trained, and overcame. And yet, as the power dynamics of society shifted, so too did its structure. Those with extraordinary bloodlines found themselves at the top of a burgeoning hierarchy, while the powerless were left to navigate an existence overshadowed by the titans in their midst.

Fifteen years after The Emergence, a man named Dr. Hank Portman became the catalyst for the next great evolution. His obsession with understanding bloodlines led him to an astonishing revelation: power was not static. Within every bloodline holder resided a bloodline plane, and within that plane, stars could be cultivated. By condensing and multiplying these stars, one could ascend beyond their initial limits, growing stronger with each step. To prove his theory, Portman experimented on himself, successfully forming a second star within his bloodline plane. Thus, the art of 'Star Cultivation' was born.

The system of ranks emerged from this discovery. At its foundation lay Rank 5, with the path ascending through Rank 4, Rank 3, Rank 2, and Rank 1. Each rank comprised three stars, and with every advancement, a cultivator's abilities and lifespan expanded. While a normal human's lifespan averaged a hundred years, a Rank 3 cultivator could stretch theirs to one hundred and fifty. Rank 2s reached two hundred, Rank 1s exceeded two hundred and fifty, and those who attained the legendary Transcendent Rank defied mortality itself, living well beyond three centuries.

As centuries passed, those with immense power consolidated their influence, forming seven great families that stood at the pinnacle of human civilization. These families, hereditary bastions of strength and lineage, ruled like aristocrats of old. Humanity's expansion into the cosmos was fueled by their might, spreading across the solar system. The Emergence had not only transformed Earth but had also reshaped neighboring planets, rendering them habitable. The great families laid claim to these celestial territories, each becoming sovereign over a planet. Only Earth remained under the governance of a unified military and government, while Jupiter, a world of vast untapped resources, remained neutral, free from any singular dominion.

The old world of nations had long since crumbled, replaced by the Federation Council—a ruling body comprised of the seven great family patriarchs and matriarchs, alongside the supreme military commander. They dictated the fate of humanity, their power absolute.

But humanity's trials were far from over.

Five thousand years ago, the heavens darkened once more. The Asuras arrived.

They were creatures of nightmare, a demon-like race driven by an insatiable thirst for carnage. Their onslaught was swift and merciless, ravaging entire colonies before Earth's defenders could react. It was a war unlike any other, a baptism of fire against a foe far beyond human reckoning. The battle raged across the stars, and though humanity emerged victorious, it came at an unfathomable cost. Worse still, the invaders they had vanquished were not an army—they were scouts. The true threat loomed beyond the void, and humanity, for all its power, was woefully outmatched.

Survival demanded adaptation. The Federation responded with urgency, shifting its focus toward the cultivation of bloodline warriors. A ninth seat was added to the council, bestowed upon the principal of a new institution—the Bloodline Academy, constructed on Jupiter. While lesser academies existed across the other planets, this would be the proving ground for the elite, the vanguard of humanity's future.

And so, the next chapter in history began within the halls of one such academy, where a new generation of bloodline holders would rise, destined to carve their names into the annals of time.
