But the man wasn't done, –Storage– he continued. Even if I had fish for brains at this moment, I would realize what he was trying to do. He was trying to make a storage space. But weren't storage space. I didn't know I could do that, the storage space on our smart bracelet was created either using science, a bloodline ability, or a combination of bloodline abilities. But this... this is entirely different.
–Anchor, Amulet, Tether– he said one after the other. And then, –ENGRAVE!– he said in a louder tone than before. The moment he said that last word, the characters denoting space, storage, anchor, and tether appeared mid air. But unlike how I was used to seeing them in silver color, they were red. The characters formed suddenly shrunk in size, and etched themselves on the amulet. If I wasn't seeing as they etched themselves, I wouldn't even know they were there. "You!" the stout man marched in with rage filled face. "Didn't I tell you to get to work?!"
–Forget– As soon as the word was uttered, the stout man's eyes glazed. –Sleep– he muttered once again. The stout man's eyes dropped, and his body dropped to the ground. If I could control the body, my jaw would have dropped to the ground at the ease with which the man uttered the words. The way he pronounced and executed each word was flawless. I have never thought of trying to make others sleep. 'Maybe I should try it on Owen or Tokito, or whichever unfortunate soul I meet first, If I do manage to get out of here that is!' I thought.
Just as I thought that, my surroundings started fading, 'Could I also create things the way he did?! was the last thought on my mind before I went dark. Then suddenly I could feel my body again. Opening my eyes, I saw a familiar surrounding. It was the mountain range again, but it was already dark. "I spent that much time unconscious?!" I spoke out–happy to be able to hear my voice again. I checked the time, it was eight pm.
As I stood up, I felt my bones popping, the strength coursing through my body was exhilarating to say the least. I felt stronger, lighter, and more aware. It felt like I could punch a hole through the sky. But I knew it was merely an illusion of strength. Sure I had gotten stronger, but what I was most excited about was my increase in essence–both qualitative and quantitative. And I didn't know why, but I had some kind of feeling as if the laws of the world had loosened their constraints on me.
"I'll think about it later!" I shook my head. I had half a mind to test my current prowess, believe me I was tempted to, but I was extremely exhausted. And no it wasn't physical exhaustion, I mean I literally just broke through, so I'm physically energised. Instead, it's mental exhaustion. Whatever that vision I saw was, it greatly exhausted me mentally. Even now I couldn't stop thinking of it, and I had a feeling I hadn't seen the last of it. The most bugging thing was the man from whose point of view I had seen the vision. "He knew the origin language" I muttered under my breath.
"Worrying about it won't change anything, maybe I should search up some of the characters and see if I get a match" I mused. With that in mind, –displace– I muttered, and I was back in my dorm room. I was so exhausted that I didn't even register the decrease in essence it usually took me to teleport. I was feeling pretty famished, so I exchange. After eating, I didn't even know when I crashed on my couch.

"Ring ring!"
"Ring ring!"
"Argh!" i groaned at the sound from my bracelet that awoke me from my slumber. "Ring ring!" But it wouldn't fucking stop ringing. A hologram popped up showing Owen's name as I tapped on my bracelet. With an exaggerated sigh, I picked the call only to see a grinning Owen. "Dude come downstairs, we're waiting for you. Hurry we only have fifteen minutes left!" Owen all but ranted. "Wait are you still in bed?!!" he exclaimed, but I already cut off the call. "Wait he said fifteen minutes" I muttered. But then it dawned on me, "Fifteen minutes?!" I exclaimed. I checked the time, it was fifteen minutes to 8am. 'I slept for almost twelve hours' I thought.
I hurriedly ran to the bathroom. Today was the outing, so we were spared the morning run. And we were supposed to gather at the grand hall of the academic block before 8am. I ran through my shower, brushed my teeth, and with a little, –Dry– I was completely dried up. And then –Equip– saved me the trouble of having to wear the uniform myself. In five minutes, I was done and ready. I jumped out of my balcony, at this point it had somewhat became a habit.
I saw Owen and Tokito the moment I jumped out. The entire dorms were completely silent, apart from the two down there, there wasn't any other cadet in my view. Just as I was about to impact the ground, I nulled my gravity. "Hey guys!" I waved as I reached them. "I could have sworn you were asleep a few minutes ago!" Owen looked at me skeptically. "I was!" I nodded. "Then how the hell did you get ready so fast?!" Tokito asked incredulously. "Please, I'm not a woman" I scoffed. "Yeah kinda makes sense!" Owen said while Tokito nodded.
"Anyway let's go, there's only nine minutes left!" I ushered. With that we hurried to the portal station, and portaled ourselves to the academic block. As soon as we entered the academic block, we made our way to the grand hall. The grand hall was on the ground floor, so it didn't take us much time to reach.
"Bang!" When we reached the grand hall, Owen kicked the doors open with a bang, drawing attention to us. "Idiot?" I cursed under my breath. I could see even Tokito's eye twitching.
Silence reigned supreme as almost every cadet in the hall turned their eyes to us. But then suddenly, "What's up suckers?!" Owen waved his hand. Some scoffed, some turned away losing interest in the clown, and I was sure some cursed, inwardly at least. "Hey what was that for?, must you always show everyone that you're a clown?" Tokito asked. "I'm not a clown, I'm just announcing our arrival!" Owen said. Just then someone approached our group of three. "Is this clown supposed to be in our group?! Lara asked as she folded her arms.
Owen's jaw dropped at Lara's comment, while Tokito was barely holding himself from bursting out in laughter. 'Oh right, she probably doesn't know he's from the Hargreaves family' I thought. "Yes he's in our group. Lara, meet Owen Hargreaves. And Owen meet Lara Vostok!" I introduced the two.
A Hargreaves?, you don't look like a noble!" Lara eyed him skeptically. 'Guess I was wrong, she doesn't care even if he's from the Hargreaves family!' I mused.
Owen meanwhile looked as if life was sucked out of him. "A girl called me a clown!" he kept mumbling under his breath. We continued chatting, minus Owen of course, he looked like he was traumatized just because a girl called him a clown. A few minutes later, light flashed at the podium of the grand hall, and with it's disappearance emerged the instructors, and at the front was none other than Armen Whitemore, the vice principal of Nebula Academy.
Behind him were instructors, Blake, Conner, Cornwell, Atlas and two others I've never seen before. The vice principals golden hair glowed under the bright lights of the hall. "Greetings cadets!" he began in a regal tone. "I think it's been six weeks or so since we first met. I would like to think you're adjusting well in the academy. Anyway today you all have an outing!" he paused glancing at every clique of cadets. "As you all know, after the first week of the academy, the special class cadets had an outing, but unfortunately they were attacked by New Eden. Twenty three cadets perished during that fiasco, they are mourned, and may their souls find peace!" he stopped once again.
Some cadets had hesitant expressions at the mention of the attack, probably thinking whether they would be attacked during this outing too. "But I assure you it will not happen this time around. This time the academy has taken enough measures, and you'll be going along with three instructors!" he declared. 'Like that'll put us at ease' I inwardly scoffed. New Eden came with a rank 1 last time most probably because they already knew that only one instructor was coming along. If they were truly going to attack, they would obviously come with more powerhouses.
"Your destination will be millennium museum!" he announced. "Millennium museum huh? seems we're not going off planet" I muttered. "Yeah!" Owen added. The millennium museum wasn't museum per say, sure it had a museum, but it was more like a fest, or resort. It's located on the eastern hemisphere of Jupiter, and was rather famous. I didn't know the exact cost, but it was said that even a hundred thousand credits wouldn't be enough to let you into millennium museum.
