Chapter 6 - Takumi

Takumi stumbled through the empty streets, his mind a whirlwind of emotions—rage, humiliation, despair. His wrist ached, his pride shattered.

But still, the thought repeated in his mind like a curse—

"I won't be forgotten."

"I won't be nothing."

His feet carried him mindlessly forward, his thoughts spiraling deeper into darkness—

Until he felt it.

A chill.

A weight in the air, pressing down on him like an unseen force.

His breath hitched.

Something wasn't right.

Slowly, hesitantly, he turned around.

And his blood ran cold.

There, standing at the mouth of the alley—

Sora.

His expression was unreadable. His crimson eyes, glowing faintly, locked onto Takumi with an intensity that made his stomach twist into knots.

Takumi took a step back. "W-What do you want?"

Sora didn't answer. He only tilted his head slightly, as if considering something.

Then—

He smiled.

A slow, almost polite smile.

Takumi's pulse skyrocketed.

"S-Stay away from me," he stammered, stumbling back farther.

Sora took a step forward.

Takumi's breath hitched.

He turned and ran.

His feet pounded against the pavement, his heartbeat roaring in his ears. He didn't know where he was going—he just needed to escape.

But then—

Cold fingers wrapped around his throat.

Before he could even process what was happening, his body was yanked backward, slammed against the alley wall with crushing force.

The impact knocked the air from his lungs. He gasped, struggling, his hands clawing at the iron grip around his throat.

Sora's expression never changed.

"You know," he murmured, almost conversationally, "I was not the one who was going to come for you.. the devil himself Sora would have come for your head, and he would have tortured you, in a way even hell demons won't believe their eyes, but I'm going to free you from his torture by killing you and before I kill you, you are going to regret every moment of your life "

Takumi's vision blurred from lack of oxygen. His nails dug into Sora's wrist, but it was like trying to scratch solid steel.

"But then…" Sora continued, his voice dangerously soft. "You made her bleed."

Takumi's eyes widened in realization.

And in horror.

Sora leaned in, his fangs glinting in the dim light.

"I hate people like you, and people like you are too many in this world, that's why at least one need to die " he whispered.

Then, he began by riping out his right eye ball, Takumi screamed in pain, Sora was yet done, he looked Takumi in his remaining left eye and with his power, he made Takumi suffer. The pain began.

Takumi screamed.

His body burned from the inside out, as if something had slithered into his veins and was tearing him apart piece by piece. He convulsed, shrieking, his voice warping into something inhuman.

His skin cracked.

His veins darkened.

His mind—

His mind was unraveling.

Visions. Horrors. He saw himself die, again and again and again, trapped in an endless cycle of slaughter—his flesh peeled, his bones shattered, his eyes plucked out by unseen hands. He begged for mercy, and Sora stopped for a moment, and just when he thought it was over—

Sora reached into the shadows and gripped his heart.

Takumi gasped, blood spilling from his lips as an icy hand crushed the very thing that kept him alive.

Sora leaned in, voice softer than a whisper.

"You are not worth remembering."

Then—

He squeezed.

Takumi's body jerked. A final, choked sound left his throat—then silence.

The terror devoured him whole.

And just like that—

Takumi ceased to exist.

Sora let the corpse drop to the ground, his expression unreadable. He stood there for a moment, looking down at what was once Takumi, blood pooling beneath him.

He exhaled through his nose, rolling his shoulders.

"Weak things should know their place."

With that, he walked back toward the school, his mind already moving on.

A few minutes after Sora left,

The alley was empty.

Takumi was gone—erased.

Or so it seemed.

From the darkness, where even shadows feared to linger, a figure emerged.

Tall. Cloaked. Eyes gleaming with an unnatural, eerie glow.

He stepped forward, the air around him distorting like reality itself recoiled from his presence.

A smirk twisted his lips as he stared at the spot where Takumi had been swallowed whole. He lifted a gloved hand, and the shadows obeyed.

Like tendrils of living darkness, they peeled back—revealing what should have been impossible.

Takumi's body.

Broken. Twisted. But not gone.

He still existed. Barely. A flicker of consciousness, trapped in an abyss of torment.

The man crouched beside him, tilting his head. "Still alive, are you?" His voice was smooth, almost amused.

Takumi's body twitched, the last remnants of his mortal existence clinging to him like a dying ember. His eyes—wide, empty—stared up at the stranger.

A hand reached out.

Fingers pierced through his chest, where his heart should have been crushed. But instead of taking life—

The man gave something back.

A pulse. A force unlike anything Takumi had ever felt. Dark. Wrong. Absolute.

Takumi's body spasmed. His bones twisted, cracked, reformed. His skin darkened, veins turning black like ink bleeding through paper.

His mouth opened in a silent scream as his fangs grew—longer, sharper, monstrous.

His nails became claws. His eyes burned red, then black.

And then—

A heartbeat.

A new heartbeat.

Not his own. Not human. Not vampire. Something else entirely.

The man watched, satisfied. "Good," he murmured. "You're adapting well."

Takumi lurched forward, gasping. But this breath was not one of desperation.

It was hunger.

His throat burned. His very existence ached for something—something more.

The man stood, brushing off his cloak. And in that moment Takumi asked, what did you do to me , the man replied "I gave you a gift. Power beyond what the Kaisers could ever comprehend."

Takumi's breath hitched at that name. The Kaisers.

Sakura.

Sora.

Kaiser.

Hatred flooded through him like wildfire.

They mocked him. They hurt him. They thought they could erase him.

But now—

Now, he was something else.

Something stronger.

The man smirked, as if hearing his thoughts. "You were weak. Pathetic. But I have remade you. Now, you will rise." And so the man fell to the floor, because he was drained of life, life that he had given to Takumi

Takumi's hands clenched into fists.

The pavement beneath him cracked.

His voice—distorted, inhuman—whispered through the night.

"…I will make them suffer."

And with that, Takumi was reborn.

( Cut Scene – The Kaisers' Estate )

The Kaisers' estate was quiet.

Too quiet.

Sora sat in the dimly lit common hall, reclining in a chair with one leg resting over the other. A faint smirk tugged at his lips, still savoring the moment Takumi vanished from existence.

Sakura, however, was different. She leaned against the window, arms folded tightly across her chest. Her golden eyes stared at the moon, but her mind was elsewhere.

Kaiser sat at the center of the room, his fingers intertwined, his gaze unreadable. His battle loss still weighed on him, but that wasn't the only thing disturbing him.

There was a shift in the air.

Something wrong.

Sora finally spoke, breaking the silence. "something is wrong ."

Kaiser lifted his eyes. "What do you mean?"

Sora tilted his head slightly, crimson eyes glinting. "I don't know. I just… feel it."

Sakura exhaled, her fingers tightening around her sleeve. "I felt something too… after Takumi tried to stab me. Like an old fear creeping in."

The tension thickened.

And then—

Boom. Boom. Boom.

The sound of heavy knocks echoed through the estate.

Kaiser's head snapped toward the door as a servant entered, bowing. "Your highness, the assembly has been called. Every vampire must attend."

The Kaisers exchanged glances.

This wasn't ordinary.

This wasn't just a political gathering.

Something serious was happening.

Without another word, they stood, draping their regal cloaks over their shoulders.

It was time to face the council.

( Cut Scene – The Vampire Assembly)

The Great Hall of the Vampire Assembly was vast.

Gothic chandeliers dangled from the ceiling, their flames flickering eerily. Rows of dangerous vampires, ' Hana, Jin, Hinata ' sat in thrones carved from obsidian, their gazes cold, unreadable.

The remaining Kaisers entered, their presence alone commanding attention. Whispers echoed through the chamber.

"The Kaisers are here."

"Did you hear? Kaiser lost a fight."

"Impossible."

Kaiser ignored the murmurs and took his seat alongside Sora and Sakura.

At the head of the throne, the King stood. His presence silenced the entire room.

. "We are gathered here tonight for one reason." He said and he paused, letting the weight of his words settle. The he continued " My son prince Jin has some information about our enemies , that he would like to share "

A ripple of unease passed through the assembly.

Sora's listened carefully as Jin stood up from his seat, with his two knights beside him, he began to speak " our enemy the vampire slayer has been killed "

Sakura clenched her jaw.

Kaiser leaned forward, his golden eyes sharp. "Who?" he asked, he had no idea who the enemy was, because he had been away for years, the only enemy he knew was the one, who took everything away from him, and that was the president of tokyo.

Sakura gaze swept over to Kaiser, she told Kaiser, that the vampire slayer was the the leader of "The Order of the Red Dawn."

The air froze around him.

He asked her to continue explaining, she went on to explain further that in order to rule the country, and the under world, the president of tokyo and few scientists turn over two hundred thousand humans into vampire, in order for him to oppose the Kaisers and rule the country.

The Red Dawn—a secret order of once humans that had spent years hunting and exterminating vampires. A group feared with strength that rivals that of the Kaiser siblings.

Then Jin continued, "he is of no more, we need to use this opportunity to attack at once and claim the head of our enemies. Since they have already lost their leader, their strength has weakened, they might have greater numbes but we have greater strength "

A heavy silence followed.

Then, a deep voice broke it.

" we will attack in three weeks time "

The king made his final decision

his face obscured by shadows

His voice carried a grave weight. The vampires raised their voices to give glory to the king before bowing down.

(Cut Scene – The Castle Garden at Night)

The cold night air wrapped around Kaiser like a silent ghost, yet he didn't shiver. He stood still, gazing up at the vast sky, where the stars flickered like forgotten souls. The weight of everything—his defeat, the looming war, his past—pressed against his chest, suffocating him in a way no physical force ever could.

Hinata's fingers curled around his right hand, her touch featherlight, but warm.

Kaiser turned his head slightly, meeting her gaze.

Her violet eyes shimmered beneath the moonlight, soft yet searching.

"You always come here when something is bothering you," she murmured.

He didn't answer right away. He let his gaze drift back to the sky, exhaling slowly. "It's quiet here," he finally said. "No expectations. No responsibilities. Just… the stars."

Hinata studied him carefully. "You think you've fallen behind."

His jaw tightened. She always saw through him.

"I have," he admitted, the bitterness in his voice barely concealed. "Back then, I was invincible. Now, I'm being looked down on."

Hinata tilted her head. "Do you truly care about that?"

Kaiser hesitated.

Did he?

The answer should have been yes. He should have cared that he lost. That he was no longer the strongest. That the world he once ruled had changed without him.

But the truth—the terrifying truth—was that something else gnawed at his soul.

The past.

The rage.

The wounds that never truly healed.

"I care that I was weak," he admitted. "I care that I lost what mattered most to me. And no matter how much strength I gain, I can't change the past."

Hinata's grip on his hand tightened. "Strength won't erase the past," she said softly. "But it can shape the future."

Kaiser turned to her fully now. "And what kind of future do you see, Hinata?"

She smiled, but it was tinged with sadness. "One where you don't let your ghosts control you."

He stared at her, feeling something unfamiliar tighten in his chest.

A warmth he hadn't felt in years.

Hinata let go of his hand, stepping back slightly. "You're not alone, Kaiser. We're still here. We always have been."

Then, as if sensing he needed time, she turned and began walking back toward the castle.

Kaiser remained there, frozen in place, her words echoing in his mind.

Not alone.

The stars above blurred slightly as he closed his eyes and smiled calmly.

( Cut Scene Garden moment )

Here's a deeply emotional continuation that highlights Kaiser's hidden kindness and past heroism:

**(Cut Scene – The Castle Garden at Night, Continued)**

Kaiser exhaled softly, a rare smile tugging at his lips as he took one last glance at the stars. For a moment, just a fleeting one, the weight on his shoulders didn't seem so crushing.

But then—

"Kaiser-sama!"

A soft, familiar voice called out to him.

He turned, his golden eyes landing on a woman approaching with a small child beside her.

She was in her late twenties, dressed in the uniform of the **Third Princess's Fifth Division**, her dark brown hair tied neatly behind her. The little girl beside her—barely four years old—clung to her mother's hand, her wide emerald eyes lighting up at the sight of Kaiser.

"Ah," Kaiser said, his voice unusually gentle. "Captain Hikari."

Hikari bowed respectfully, then knelt down, encouraging the little girl to do the same. "Your Highness," she said softly, "I hope we are not disturbing your peace."

Kaiser shook his head. "You know you don't have to be so formal with me." He crouched down, his gaze settling on the child. "And you, little one… are you well?"

The little girl—Miyu—giggled, her tiny hands reaching toward Kaiser as if drawn to him by instinct. "Kaiser-sama!" she chirped. "Up!"

Kaiser blinked, momentarily caught off guard. Then, with a small chuckle, he scooped her up effortlessly, lifting her onto his shoulders. The girl squealed with laughter, gripping his hair with tiny fingers.

Hikari watched, warmth filling her gaze.

"You're always so kind to her," she murmured. "To us."

Kaiser glanced at her, then turned his eyes forward again. "I only did what anyone should have done."

Hikari shook her head. "No," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "No one else did."

Kaiser fell silent.

She took a deep breath, her fingers trembling slightly as she spoke. "I was nothing before I met you. I had no home. No dignity. No future. When I was thrown onto the streets, people walked past me like I was invisible. I begged, but no one looked. I starved, but no one cared."

She swallowed hard, her eyes glistening. "I thought I would die there. That Miyu would die with me."

Kaiser's jaw tightened. He knew the cruelty of this world. He had seen it too many times.

"And then," Hikari continued, her voice breaking slightly, "you appeared."

Miyu giggled again, blissfully unaware of the pain in her mother's words. "Mama says you're our hero!" she chirped, patting Kaiser's head.

Kaiser's fingers flexed at his sides.

Hikari met his gaze, her voice trembling. "You picked me up when I was nothing, Kaiser-sama. You gave me food, shelter, purpose. You didn't just save my life—you gave me a reason to live again."

She inhaled sharply, bowing her head. "I don't care what anyone says about you. To me, you will always be the man who saved us when the world abandoned us."

Despite being feared. He was a soft and gentle soul at heart.

Slowly, Kaiser lifted Miyu off his shoulders, setting her gently on the ground. He knelt, placing a hand on her tiny head. She grinned up at him, her little hands wrapping around his fingers.

"You're growing strong," he murmured.

Miyu nodded enthusiastically. "Mama says I have to be strong like you!"

Kaiser let out a quiet chuckle. "Then you must always protect your mother."

"I will!" she declared, puffing out her little chest.

Hikari wiped her eyes, smiling through her tears.

Kaiser rose to his feet, his gaze lingering on the two of them. For all the darkness in his life, for all the pain, there were moments like this—moments that reminded him he had once been something more than a weapon.

And perhaps… he still could be.

"I'm glad you're both safe," he finally said. "No matter what happens, you'll always have a home here."

Hikari placed a hand over her heart, her voice thick with emotion. "We owe you everything."

Kaiser said nothing, only giving them a small nod before turning back toward the castle.

As he walked away, Miyu's small voice called after him—

"Kaiser-sama!"

He paused.

"Thank you for saving us."

His eyes softened.

Kaisers thought to himself " I will protect our home by all means ".
