Chapter 2 - [Good Afternoon King Thaddeus]

King Thaddeus sits in the grand hall with his generals, discussing the dire situation in Argus. The kingdom of the Terrans, the Terrarion Kingdom, the closest allies of the Justice Kingdom, remains passive. It appears that their leader does not take the situation in the other kingdoms seriously, as the kingdoms of Infernion of the Infernals and Seliniac of the Lunars maintain hostile stances toward the rest of the kingdoms. Additionally, the kingdoms of SandyLane, home to the ancient warriors of King Osiris, the Atlantis KIingdom-Aqua Kingdom, and the frozen mountains to the north of the Frosten Kingdom of the Ice Glaciers, remain neutral.

[-GENERAL]

"The situation remains the same, my king. The Lunars seem to be preparing something, and whatever it is, it does not bode well for Argus. They hold a great portion of Argu's Power. We must be on high alert and send messengers to the lords..."

[-GENERAL 2]

"We tried to send some, but it has been two weeks, and they have not returned. We do not know if they are still alive."

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Hmmm…"

[-GENERALS]

"My king, what do you propose we do?"

[-KING THADDEUS]

"You do realize that sending innocent soldiers to those monsters…"

[-GENERAL]

"My king, but how else could we establish contact? Shouldn't we at least try to negotiate peace with them?"

The king rises and slams his hand on the sacred table in anger. All the generals are shocked and tremble.

[-KING THADDEUS]

"There will never be peace with those monsters! You know that if the queen of the Lunars learns that knights of the Justice Kingdom have stepped on her lands, she would capture them and either sacrifice them for power or use them for energy. And that Flaming Beast… Ah, the King of the Infernals, who dares call himself one of the Seven Lords of Argus, would slaughter them on the spot without a second thought. So, I ask you once more, my generals. You have fought by my side for twenty years. I ask you one last time to fight alongside me!"

[-GENERAL 3]

"The day I stood before you and was deemed worthy of the title of general, I will never forget."

[-GENERAL 2]

"I believe the time has come for the kingdom to awaken, along with its people. I will always stand by you, MY KING!"

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Then let us drink to a death worthy of our name. Let us drink to a death in battle, to a death that generations will remember! TO OUR GLORY!"

[-GENERALS]

"TO OUR GLORY!"

Night falls upon the kingdom. Suddenly, as King Thaddeus sits to eat, strange noises are heard. He grips the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it… but then he sees a knight with his daughter. His face takes on a disappointed expression.

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Oh, not again…"

[-KNIGHT]

"Good evening, my king. Apologies for the disturbance, but I found the princess trying to esca—"

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Ah… is she troubling you again, Tristian?"

[-TRISTIAN – KNIGHT]

"Not necessarily. It is my pleasure to try and convince the princess not to leave the kingdom during my duties."

[-KING THADDEUS]

"And you, my little one, where were you going so early in the morning while you were supposed to be in school… AGAIN?"

Aurela looks at him indifferently, as if nothing had happened.

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Quickly, to your room, Aurela. Your trainer will arrive soon; go and change."

Aurela smiles at her father and runs off excitedly to gather her training gear.

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Tristian, my boy, you should do the same someday, so you can pass on your strength to the next generation."

Tristian sighs and gazes at the moon through the window before asking a question.

[-TRISTIAN]

"My lord…"

King Thaddeus looks at him with curiosity, but as Tristian is about to confess something, something strange seems to hold his words back, and he remains silent.

[-TRISTIAN]

"Never mind. However, I heard you wished to see me. What do you need of me?"

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Tristian… As you know, Argus has been at peace for years, but we do not believe it will last much longer."

[-TRISTIAN]

"You speak of the Lords?"

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Not only them. The prophecies foretell that, sooner or later, a great evil will come and cover the skies of Argus. The rivers will cease to flow, the sun will disappear, and when that happens… he will return."

Tristian, despite hearing these words, remains unfazed.

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Promise me… Promise me, Tristian, that if this ever happens… I want you to protect the kingdom. If I am ever gone, I want you to raise Aurela and always protect her. She is young and has her whole life ahead of her. The kingdom will need a new queen. Can I count on you for this, Tristian?"

Tristian bows and kneels. The air around them grows silent.

[-TRISTIAN]

"By the Three Suns and the Four Moons, here and now, before you, I swear to forever protect your legacy."

King Thaddeus, with tears in his eyes, nods in gratitude.

[-KING THADDEUS]

"Thank you, Tristian. I am counting on you."

Tristian turns and leaves in silence, his head held high, his demeanor resolute and fearless. King Thaddeus looks to the sky, hoping that day never comes… But as he steps into the castle, he feels a strange aura. Something lingers on the horizon… something is coming.
