The next day, 15th of August, 1913. Ivan is working hard in the blacksmithing company, each drop of sweat is filled hard work and dedication. Ivan is complying to his clients as he continues to handle his work until his assistant called him.
"Ivan, someone's here to visit you." Ivan's assistant said.
"Visitor? who could it be?" Ivan thought to himself as he walks out the door to find Yuriko, standing in front of him, holding a small box, filled with food like yesterday. Ivan smiled and happy to see Yuriko, holding her promise to accompany Ivan while he's working.
"Yuriko, you promised.." Ivan says.
"It's what I do, hehehehe" Yuriko giggled softly. Ivan stares into Yuriko eyes, his eyes filled with mixed up emotions before getting back to work.
Yuriko soon finds a place to sit down and watch as Ivan worked hard. Yuriko company makes his heart flutter, it feels like Ivan had just won the jackpot. Sometimes, Yuriko would help Ivan if needed, Ivan always appreciate for Yuriko's help.
but just then, Ivan hurt himself by burning his hand because his gloves wore off. Yuriko, seeing the trouble, quickly tends his burned skin.
"Here, here, I'll help you!" Yuriko says, continuing to tend his wounds.
"Oh thank you Yuriko, I mean.. it's not that bad of a burn" Ivan stated, though his face says otherwise. the burn wasn't severe, but enough to make the pain visible in his face.
"And? It's still going to be treated whether you like it or not" Yuriko scolded Ivan.
It was then Ivan is feeling another flutter in his heart, he feels like he's now cared for after being alone for years. Ivan watches as Yuriko tending his wounds carefully and with focus.
After finally taking care of the wound, Ivan continued to do his business.
"I'm grateful to have you by my side, but don't you have work to do in the bakery?" Ivan asked.
"Hmm, no. The bakery is in renovation so I have time to accompany you, and thats what matters now. I know you just needed company out of that hard exterior.." Yuriko said to Ivan.
"what do you mean?" Ivan asked, though he still didn't understand what Yuriko meant.
"you know, everybody has a hard shell on the outside so people might think they are strong, but in the inside they are just a human like the others, needing some care and company" Yuriko said. Ivan nodded understandingly and smiled.
After the day was done, Ivan turned to Yuriko before opening his arms, inviting Yuriko for a hug. Yuriko, hesitating slightly, jumped to him and hugged Ivan close. Yuriko finally felt Ivan's warmth. Both Ivan and Yuriko blushed, it's what they expect, but it was still they're first time.
"Thank you, Yuriko for staying with me to work." Ivan said to Yuriko softly, caressing Yuriko's head.
"No problem, anytime!" Yuriko still puts a smile on her face. but now it is time for both of them to go their seperate ways.
"Goodbye, Yuriko.."
"Goodbye, Ivan!" Yuriko waved happily.
Back at Ivan. Ivan lays down on his bed, thinking of the times with Yuriko before falling asleep with a smile on his face.
