Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The First Cardinal Conflict — Part 2

3rd Person POV

Feldway took a step forward but suddenly noticed something on the ground. A magical circle began to glow beneath his feet. He quickly hooked his leg around the circle, ripping it out of the ground. With surprising strength, he hurled the chunk of earth like a soccer ball at Dino, who was still yawning in disbelief.

The earth hit Dino square in the face, causing an explosion upon impact. Dino staggered back, paralyzed from the blast.

Obera, however, was not amused.

Her expression twisted into a glare as she stared at Feldway, her anger palpable. Feldway, feeling a shiver run down his spine, straightened himself and maintained a calm composure.

"Your anger… reminds me of my mother," he muttered under his breath.

Before Obera could retaliate, Feldway summoned a sword of light and hurled it at her. Obera managed to dodge the strike, but it found its target in Dino instead. The sword shattered half of his face, though the damage began regenerating immediately.

Feldway narrowed his eyes, a slight smile curling at the corner of his lips. "Well… time to show you two something. Though, it's not just for you," he said, his gaze shifting toward Veldanava.

With a small smile directed at the Creator, Feldway raised his hand and called forth a cataclysmic attack.

"Meteor Catastrophe!!"

Suddenly, a barrage of meteor-shaped stars made of Stardust and Holy particles rained down from the sky, hurtling toward the two angels. The attack was unstoppable, a chaotic combination of destruction and beauty.

Veldanava laughed from his throne, enjoying the spectacle. "That guy just copied my flow," he mused with a grin.

Dino and Obera, realizing the impending danger, began dodging with incredible speed, their eyes wide with sweat. They could feel the overwhelming power of Feldway's technique, a technique that had surpassed their expectations.

Feldway's ability to grasp Stardust, something even the Primordials had not fully understood, was a terrifying sight. Despite not being on the same level as Veldanava, Feldway's powers were nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Dino and Obera, desperate to avoid the oncoming meteors, accelerated their movements with magic. However, as they made their way toward Feldway, they found themselves met with an unexpected force.

"Go distract them for a bit," Feldway ordered, summoning two angels through Armageddon to intercept the two.

The angels were no match for Dino and Obera, who quickly tore through them, but their delay allowed Feldway to execute his next move.

"Castle Guard," Feldway muttered as he summoned his weapon, Ark, a sword of immense power. With it, he slashed at the two angels, sending them flying back toward the end of the colosseum.

Feldway approached them with an eerie smile, his sword still glowing with the energy of the attack.

"I won," he said simply.

As he landed on the colosseum floor, a sense of unease began to creep over him. He felt something—something wrong beneath his feet. He looked down and saw a glowing magical circle, just as he had before.

He tried to step away, but the trap activated, and he found himself paralyzed in place. The magic circle flickered with intense light as Dino and Obera rose to their feet, smiling ominously.

"That was the main trap we were preparing for… at least ten years, I believe…" Dino said, a smug grin crossing his face.

Obera, her eyes burning with hatred, added, "No, a hundred years at least."

Feldway's mind raced, but before he could react, the magical circle erupted in flames, engulfing him in a searing, white-hot blaze.
