Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: End… more like a new beginning

Location: Cardinal World

Feldway POV

"Obera?!"

"So that's your name, huh?" said the Titan, a bit intrigued. "Your performance has surely improved, and I'm rather impressed that you managed to catch my fist."

"But... at the end of the day, you're still a weakling. Honestly, big brothers, we should make quick work of her," said the left head with green hair, chuckling.

"Obera... leave. Right *cough* now," I said to her, my voice strained. Her head turned slightly, glancing at me.

"No... it's my responsibility to defeat this thing and protect you—just as you once did for me," she said, turning back to stare the Titan down.

She's clearly worked up—her face is bright red after saying that. I guess it makes sense; she's probably in tension pressure, as she is trying to hold her ground against a monster like that, after all.

But... why is the right head looking between her and me like that? Weird. Did I miss something? I have to analyze the surrounding more, and more importantly close the wound.

"Aww~ reminds me of those creatures we killed... remember the two long-nosed giants?" the right head said.

Long nose, does he mean by elephants? What does have to correlate with anything.

"I do," the middle head added. "Seeing them up close made me hesitate. So for you two, we'll make it a quick, painless death."

"Don't make this any harder," said the right head.

I have to act fast—

"AHHHH!!" Before I could focus on closing the wound, a screech echoed out. I looked up and saw a giant axe lodged in the Titan's waist.

"How dare you?!" roared the middle head, and one of its six arms punched Obera, sending her flying.

"Come to life—Reconstruction!" she shouted. The axe began to glow, sinking deeper into the Titan's body before a blinding light filled the area.

As the light faded, I caught a glimpse... a massive hole—and a floating orb—before it was quickly sealed.

...Could it be?

Before I could get a better look, Magicules began to coat my face.

"They are my magicule ... it's feels like being covered in my own blood," it's feels weird and at the same time not so uncomfortable saying that.

As I tried to get up, the pain from my open wound surged—Magicules spilling out behind me. Then I heard it... a faint whisper.

"Time Stop."

In an instant, everything froze—my body paralyzed, except for my eyes. I could still see. Still process. What the hell is happening?

"Sigh Some people just can't accept mercy, can they? How pitiful," said the middle head. "Let's start with the axe warrior... then I'll deal with the stronger one."

No. I have to act—now.

Wait... my eyes and ears still work. I can hear. See. And my back—there's something. I can feel it move.

...

...

I believe I know what to do...

Feldway POV End

3rd Person POV

The Titan loomed over the frozen Obera, its hand aimed at her head. "I'll make this quick," the middle head muttered.

But then—a voice echoed from behind.

"I'd suggest checking your surroundings, big guy."

The Titan stiffened. Slowly, it turned—and there he was. The one it had written off. Standing tall. Alive.

Feldway.

"You look surprised," Feldway said coldly. "But first... check your hand."

The Titan glanced down—one of its right hands was gone, cleanly severed.

"H-How...?" all three heads stammered.

"I don't give away secrets," Feldway replied, eyes sharp. "But since you're dying to know—this isn't Magicule on me. It's Stardust, which I believe you don't know anything about. I was forged from it. All I did... was use the Magicule from my wound to crack open my skin leading to me covering in stardust."

"I should be rather grateful you know," Feldway said, raising his sword Ark toward the Titan. "Your repeated use of that technique helped me figure it out. So thank you. But more importantly..."

He stepped forward, eyes locked.

"It's time to end this."

He glanced at the Titan's cracked skin. "Seems my angel army didn't die in vain."

"NO—NEVER! I WON'T LOSE TO YOU! DIE, PEST!!"

The Titan lunged—roaring.

Feldway did the same, sword blazing with stardust.

As Feldway's sword Ark hit the Titan's fist, it didn't stop—it started cutting through.

"This is for Obera..." he said, his voice cold.

The Titan sensed danger and screamed, "STOP—TIME STOP!!"

Time froze for a second—then started again. In panic, the Titan covered its fist in flames, trying to block the attack.

But Feldway had a plan.

While Ark grabbed its attention, a second glowing sword appeared in his other hand. Using the opening, Feldway drove it into the Titan's waist.

The Titan let out a roar of pain.

"Obera! Give me some of your Magicule reserves—now!" Feldway shouted, holding both swords as the Titan struggled.

Obera had just broken free from Time Stop. Confused at first, she looked at Feldway—and saw him still fighting, refusing to let go.

Without a word, she raised her hand and started to transfer her magicule because to her he is the person she would trust the most.

"Use your skill—now!" Feldway ordered.

Obera nodded, her hand glowing.

"Reconstruction!!"

The sword brightened, grew, and moved on its own.

Feldway seeing that let go of the sword and used that hand to drive Ark deeper into the Titan's fist.

"I may not very pleasant experience for me and may be I may not even be alive..." he said, with his voice being cold as it ever been, "but I'll take you with me.

ARK—DEVOUR IT!!"

Light engulfed the world.

...

When the light faded, Feldway stood—sword embedded in the Titan's three-core center, with Magicule from the core being slowly absorbed into the sword later into Feldway.

The Titan staggered, unresponsive.

Then—BOOM.

A burst of Magicule hurled Feldway's body back. He was conscious, but too weak to pull Ark free.

"HOW DARE YO—"

The core surged, and the Titan couldn't remove Ark.

"WE'RE GONNA KILL YOU!" it screamed, stumbling forward.

Then it stopped—staring.

A female angel stood guard over Feldway, unwavering.

The left head lost it.

"I'LL KILL YOU B—"

A new voice echoed across the battlefield.

"Are you sure about that?"

The Titan froze. Even Feldway whose body was unresponsive felt a sense of relief.

And Obera... smiled.

The Titan whipped its heads around, scanning the sky, panic in its eyes.

"Who—who's there?!"

Suddenly, a blinding indigo light pillar crashed down from the heavens. From it, a figure descended—calm, composed, radiating pressure heavier than gravity itself.

The Titan froze.

It looked eerily similar to the silver-haired opponent from earlier, but this one... this one was different. Black hair dusted with white specks. Piercing blue eyes that felt like they could see through time. The chill crawling down the Titan's spine was instant.

And before it could react—before it could run or strike or even breathe—

The figure was in front of it.

"Let me introduce myself," he said coolly. "I'm their boss. You can call me... Veldanava."

Then, casually—almost like swatting away dust—Veldanava gripped Ark, still impaled in the Titan's core, and pulled it out with a flick of his wrist. Magicules erupted violently, like a dam had burst.

"Judging by the unstable core, you've been weakened beyond repair. Good."

"You—!"

Before the Titan could finish, its massive body was suddenly split—clean, precise—into three falling pieces.

Veldanava's voice echoed, calm but chilling:

"If I'd sliced you like this at full strength, the world would've been obliterated. But now... see ya later."

Then, raising his hand, a colossal stardust pillar engulfed the remains.

When the light faded... nothing was left.

"Lord Veldanava..." Obera whispered, eyes wide.

Veldanava flashed a crooked grin. "You did great—seriously. But heads up: this battle wrecked the atmosphere. So, I'm calling a flood to reset things. Big one."

He spun casually, then added with a wink, "So for now? Clock out. You've earned the break."

As he said that he immediately teleported infront of the fallen Feldway, who lay barely conscious, body broken but conscious still intact.

"You fought well," Veldanava said softly, a strange mix of warmth and mischief in his smile.

He locked eyes with Feldway, who stared back silently. Feldway couldn't speak, but his thoughts were clear.

"Alright, buddy," Veldanava sighed. "I told you—I couldn't interfere earlier. If I had, the Titan's defeat would've obliterated the Cardinal World." He crossed his arms and pouted

"And for weakening the Titan to this extent... thank you. But don't get too comfortable—this isn't your ending. Not even close."

He leaned closer.

"It's the beginning of your real journey."
