Chapter 104 - Chapter-104 Bad Day

Jay-jay's POV

These two are taking forever to talk. All Aries needs is for Kuya Angelo to sign his waiver.

I was just standing by the door of Kuya's room. I also needed to get my waiver signed. Aries has been in there for a while—probably 30 minutes already.

I waited a bit longer before Aries finally stood up and left the room. I hurried inside, which startled Kuya a bit.

"Don't you know how to knock?" he asked, annoyed.

I just grinned and flashed a peace sign.

"What do you need?"

I handed him the waiver. "Sign this!"

He took it and was about to sign when he suddenly stopped, like he was reading what was written on it.

"Hemilton University?" he asked, and I nodded quickly.

Then he abruptly handed the paper back to me. "Don't go."

"W-why not?"

"You're not studying there anyway. Just stay home."

"Even so… It's such a waste. My classmates are all going." I whined.

He immediately shot me a sharp look. "You're just going to look at that school. Stay quiet and stay home."

"Ugh, Kuya…"

"Jay! Don't be stubborn!" he shouted at me.

I stormed out of his room, slamming my bedroom door shut behind me. So annoying…

It's just a trip, and he won't let me go. Kuya must be possessed again. I want to go! It's so lame—I'd be the only one left out among all of us.

No way! I'm going, no matter what!

Some mischievous idea popped into my head. I went to my study table and started looking for papers with Kuya's signature.

I wasn't disappointed. His signature was as clear as daylight. I grabbed a piece of typing paper and placed it over the part of the paper with his signature.

Kids! Don't do this at home…

I traced Kuya's signature. Once I got it right, I repeated it on the paper over and over until the parts that were supposed to be smooth looked perfect.

Voila!

The magical signature of Kuya. As long as I don't get caught, I'm safe with this.

I quickly hid all the evidence. Gotta keep it clean—can't leave any traces of the crime.

Don't copy this! It's bad!

Just as I was stuffing the papers into my trash bin, the door suddenly swung open. There stood Kuya Angelo.

"Don't you know how to knock?" I asked, annoyed.

He immediately scowled. "Don't start with me."

"What do you need?"

"Tita Jeana's coming over. She says she wants to talk to you."

It was like something snapped in my brain when I heard that name. The name of the person I've been forcing myself to call Mama.

"About what?" I replied unenthusiastically, continuing to tidy up my stuff.

"She didn't say. But I hope you'll face her."

"I don't know…" I answered, almost whispering.

Kuya seemed to understand what I meant. He just nodded and left my room.

I lay on my bed and pulled the blanket over my head. I'd rather sleep than think about her. I don't know why, but even though I have memories of her acting like a mom to me, ever since I left the hospital when I was 9 years old, the way I saw and felt about her changed.

Even now, I feel awkward around her, like there's something in me that doesn't want her around. I don't want to feel this way, but it's like I'm holding a grudge.

I fell asleep without realizing it.

The next day…

Here we go!

I'm ready to pass on the crime I committed. This is for the economy, so I hope someone will forgive me up there.

When I entered the room, Eman was already collecting the waivers. I handed him mine before sitting at my spot. The one at the back, next to the two jerks.

"Good Morning..." Yuri greeted me.

"GoodMorning too..." I greeted him back.

"Excited about the University Visit?" he teased.

He must've noticed the smile I couldn't wipe off my face. Why deny it? It's true.

"Kinda."

He smiled at me. I glanced at his table. As usual, it was piled with notes.

Study mode on.

I remembered what they told me about Yuri studying in Japan. That's probably why he's focusing so hard on his studies now.

"Yuri…" I called him. "…Is it true? You're really going to study in Japan?"

He forced a smile. "Yeah… That's been the plan from the start."

"Oh…" I replied sadly.

I couldn't help it. It's like I'm not ready for us to be so far apart.

"Why? Are you going to miss me?" he teased.

Without thinking, I nodded, even though I wasn't looking at him.

I only realized what I did a little too late.

"Of course… I-I'll miss the others too," I defended myself.

He just laughed and looked me in the eyes. "I'll miss you."

W-What?!

"H-Huh?"

He just laughed and went back to what he was doing. Yuri's such a tease.

But I got a little flustered… Just a bit!

"Who hasn't submitted yet?" Eman shouted.

I glanced to my side. Of course, the King wasn't there yet. Honestly, even Sir Alvin would probably show up before him. That guy's worse than the teacher.

"No one? I'm turning these in to Sir now!" Eman called out again, and when no one answered, he walked out of the room.

Looks like there won't be a class today. That's fine though, we're way ahead on the lessons. Thanks to the art of copying, everyone's getting by.

Including me, of course…

"Oi! Do any of you know this Floriane?!" Felix shouted, staring at his phone.

He's been asking us about her since the other day. Apparently, she's been texting him and introducing herself. I couldn't say anything… because I was the one who gave her his number. Hahaha.

I decided to step out for a bit since, honestly, I was getting bored. Ci-N was busy playing with Eren, so no one was pestering me. David was asleep, and it'd be rude to wake him.

I kept walking, and as I got close to the stairs, something—or rather, someone—suddenly crashed into me.

"What the hell!" I shouted, immediately glaring at whichever Herod had just flung themselves in front of me.

"S-sorry, Jay! I didn't mean to!" Mayo replied.

The ultimate ninja of our class. He disappears out of nowhere and then pops up just as suddenly.

"What are you even doing?!" I asked, annoyed, brushing myself off.

"Uh… parkour," he answered, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Par—what?!"

"Parkour… You know, that thing I always do, jumping off walls," he explained.

So that's what it's called—the tumbling through the air and moving like a monkey.

He's such a ninja…

"And you thought this was the place to do that?!"

He grinned. "I do it everywhere."

I grimaced. I'll just wait for the day he sprains something because of it. I glanced at his chest for a moment.

"What's that?" I asked, pointing at a reddish mark on his chest. "Is that a kiss mark?"

He quickly adjusted his uniform to cover it and looked away.

"I-it's a rash… I had an allergic reaction," he answered.

Honestly, I was skeptical of his excuse. But maybe that's really all it was—who am I to question him?

"I'm heading back to the room…" Mayo said, bidding goodbye before walking away quickly.

Maybe he was out flirting, and someone gave him that mark. Tsk! Tsk! Boys will be boys.

Speaking of boys, I glanced toward the other side of the room—and there he was. The King of Ulupongs was approaching. You could tell from a mile away that he was in a bad mood.

"What?!" he snapped at me.

So grumpy…

"What, you too?!" I shot back.

"Tss."

Ugh, there it is again—that annoying mysterious "Tss." Of him

"Tss yourself!" I snapped, making his scowl deepen even more.

My eyes caught the glint of his earring—it's so small that it's easy to miss, but it suddenly shone.

"Quit staring!" he yelled, making me stop gawking at his ear.

"Geez, no need to yell! A little more and I'd have gone deaf!"

His glare deepened, and it was clear my words only pissed him off more. Damn it!

I looked away, avoiding his eyes. So annoying! I used to be able to match his stare, but now I couldn't.

Suddenly, he poked my cheek. "You're blushing."

I immediately swatted his hand away. "Fvck you!"

"Stop cursing!" he scolded me.

I want to curse, so I'm gonna curse.

(Author's Note: SPG. Don't imitate.)

I stood up straight, furrowed at him, took a deep breath, and prepared every curse word I knew.

"Damn it! Hell! Son of a—! Idiot! Asshole! Beast! Jerk! Animal! Bastard! Motherf--! Freaking hell! Moron! Shut the—AAAHHHHHHH!"

He suddenly grabbed me and pinned me against the wall, his arms caging me in.

Shit! Not Again! My heart!

"You've got a filthy mouth. Want me to clean it for you?" he whispered, slowly bringing his face closer to mine.

I tried to turn away. Seriously!

"Like you don't curse?" I shot back.

"Then clean my mouth too. We can clean them together at the same time."

Ohhh no.., no, no!

"W-What the hell?!"

"You don't want to?" he teased.

His face inched even closer, so I threw my arms up to block him and pushed with all my might.

"Back off, Keifer!"

He didn't listen—he only stood his ground more firmly.

Why is this guy so strong?!

"Keifer!"

But the jerk wouldn't stop. I gathered all my strength and shoved him hard.

"I swear, I'll punch you!" I threatened, but he just laughed.

So annoying!

""One more time you speak profanity. I will kiss you."," he said before heading back into the room.

And there I stood, frozen like an idiot.

Damn it! No more cursing!
