Cherreads

Chapter 57 - The Godfather's Women

Anna looked at her golden hair with its curly red ends, bored. Adam must have believed that if she cut her hair, the red tips would disappear, but she had cut her hair a million times, and in less than a week, the curls would form again and turn red. She didn't understand this phenomenon and no longer cared about the mystery.

She was even afraid to find out, after she learned that werewolves existed. The hairdresser was full of compliments, and she didn't want to hear her excited voice. She suspected she was a werewolf, as she seemed very close to Jenna. Last night, Jenna had promised to teach her how to tell the difference between humans and werewolves, and that was the only piece of information she thought was important. The manicurist finished painting her nails and asked Anna for her opinion.

Anna looked angrily at her hand. He hadn't even allowed her to choose the color of her nail polish, but when she saw the pink polish and the well-cut nail, she thought it was beautiful. For a moment she was afraid it would be red. She smiled at the manicurist.

 "It's perfect."

The hairdresser made a bun in her long hair, and Anna thought it was too formal and told him so.

"That's the ideal hairstyle for the restaurant the boss said he's taking you to today."

 Anna looked inquiringly at Jenna.

 Jenna smiled.

"Don't worry, miss. You didn't think you'd go through all that pain to be locked in the house, did you?"

Anna's eyes widened. The previous experience really had been a martyrdom. She thought that the woman would rip her skin off along with the depilatory patches. While she was being tortured by the pain of the wax, all Anna could think about was tearing out the woman's eyes and giving them to Adam to eat. But the result, after all the pain, was wonderful, and she still promised herself that she would never do it again. She always shaved with Gillette and would continue to do so.

One of the men in a black suit entered the salon carrying an outfit hidden by a cape, a shoebox and a smaller red velvet box, and left it in the hairdresser's hands before leaving.

The woman opened the cloak and Anna stood in front of the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. It was long, silver and had lace embroidered with tiny roses on the tulle that covered it. Anna was enchanted.

She put it on and was surprised that she didn't need to make any adjustments. How could Adam's employee know her number so precisely? Not even Adam was supposed to know.

The scarpin shoes were also silver and when they opened the velvet box, Anna saw, with great hatred, the necklace with the wolf-shaped pendant, as well as the earrings. Adam was putting a collar on her when he was the dog. She realized it immediately. It was a message from him. She resignedly let them put it on her.

As soon as she was ready, she was invited to look in the mirror. As she looked at the princess in the mirror, she had to make an effort not to cry and ruin her makeup. She didn't know what Adam was up to, but that woman in the mirror didn't look like a young prostitute. She looked more like an elegant woman and she would venture to say that anyone who saw her would believe she was a wealthy, confident woman. But she knew that woman didn't exist. That wasn't Anna. That was Adam's personal maid. He had a place to urinate and defecate, and now he also had a place to satisfy his third need, whenever he wanted. Not that it was bad to lie with him. It was the most wonderful thing that had ever happened to her, but the meaning of it was her sentence. Adam would never let her go. The day he tired of her body, she had no doubt that he would carry out his threat. He would kill her.

"A dollar for your thoughts." Anna heard Jenna's voice and turned to her.

"Is this how a werewolf whore, CEOs and mafia bosses dress?" Anna asked bitterly.

 Jenna laughed.

"You need to value yourself more, Anna. Why do you keep thinking bad things? I've never seen it happen before in this family, not even when Ryan's brother started dating. They're not in the habit of granting any perks to human beings."

"Genevieve always seemed very well received by them."

"Genevieve was raised by werewolves, Anna. Her story is very interesting."

"I didn't know that. What happened to her parents?"

"I'll tell you after your meeting with the boss."

"You owe me two pieces of information now."

 "What?"

"How to tell humans from werewolves and Genevieve's story."

"I'll be happy to tell you."

Anna looked at the hairdresser's chair. Suddenly, all she wanted to do was sit down and cry.

Jenna followed the direction of her gaze and then turned to her.

"Come on. Sit down for a while."

Anna accepted with relief, and Jenna sat down next to her.

They remained silent for a few minutes.

"So? How was the evening with Alfa?" Jenna asked anxiously.

 Anna looked at her indignantly.

"I think you know better than anyone what a night with the dog is like."

 Jenna laughed.

"I've never been to bed with the Alpha, young lady."

"You... Why not?" Anna had believed, until that moment, that all the women around Adam were his mistresses.

"I'm not the type of woman..." She said and stared at Anna, taking a deep breath before continuing. "You're not the kind of woman he usually chooses either."

 "I'm flattered."

"Is he really as good as other women say?"

Anna's countenance cleared and she suddenly felt relaxed.

"He's affectionate, kind, but at the same time arrogant and possessive..." Anna spoke about the details of her experience with Jenna. She needed to share it with someone and no longer cared about keeping it a secret. She knew that every werewolf was a spy for Adam and that she could never have contact with anyone who wasn't a spy for him.
